Description

【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a packing type pipe joint using a packing for holding and connecting pipes in an airtight manner.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, a fitting that has been fitted with a hard retaining ring that locks onto the surface of the pipe together with the packing inside the joint body, and the packing is compressed together with the retaining ring with a nut that is screwed into the joint body, so that the seal and the pipe are prevented from being removed simultaneously It has been known.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the above-described pipe joint, when a pulling force acts on the pipe after connection, the retaining ring moves within the joint as the pipe moves, and the pipe surface is strongly locked to prevent the pipe from being pulled out. However, the movement of the retaining ring within the joint reduces the initial compressive force of the packing, which causes a problem that the hermetic holding performance of the packing deteriorates and leaks.
In addition, since the retaining ring is usually in a complicated shape, there are manufacturing problems. In addition, the fitting body becomes larger and heavier in order to mount this complicated retaining ring in the joint, and the number of parts is increased. There were problems such as complicated construction at the time.
The present invention has been made to solve the above-mentioned problems, and does not impair the sealing performance of the packing even when a pulling force is applied to the tube, and reduces the number of parts and is compact and has good workability. A pipe joint is provided.
[0005]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The gist of the present invention is a pipe joint comprising a joint body, a packing, and a nut member that are externally fitted to the ends of the pipes to be connected to connect the pipes in an airtight manner.
The joint body has a through hole connecting pipe from the central portion inner surface is sequentially inserted, packing and a small-diameter annular portion and a stepped portion and the large diameter annular portion to be mounted, and a female screw further nut member is screwed Have
The packing includes an annular seal portion that can be attached to the small-diameter annular portion of the joint body, an annular compression portion that is attached to the large-diameter annular portion and is pressed against the nut member, and the seal portion between the seal portion and the compression portion. as well as have a retainer to lock the stepped portions are retained, the outer diameter of the retainer is close to the outer diameter of the compression portion, the inner diameter of the retainer is larger than an inner diameter of the seal portion and the compression unit Formed,
A packing type pipe joint, wherein a collar is attached to an end portion of the packing and the nut member is tightened to make a connection.
[0006]
[Action]
Since the present invention has the above-described configuration, the end of the packing is pressed through the collar when the pipe is mounted in the joint body and the nut member is tightened, and the retainer held by the packing is the step of the joint body. Lock to the part. For this reason, the compression part of packing is compressed between a retainer and a nut member, compresses the surface of a pipe | tube firmly, and hold | maintains a pipe | tube from retaining. Further, since the retainer is locked to the stepped portion, the seal portion of the packing is held by receiving an appropriate predetermined sealing pressure. In particular, since the retainer is locked to the stepped portion, the seal portion on the back side of the packing maintains an appropriate compressive force and seals between the pipes because the retainer is not moved further. Also, even if the pull-out force acts on the pipe and movement occurs in the joint, the compression force of the packing seal part does not decrease due to the large compression action of the packing compression part, and the compression force of the seal part decreases as the pipe moves. Does not occur. Further, since the retainer is held in the packing, workability at the time of connection is good.
[0007]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings.
FIG. 1 shows a state in which a pipe showing an embodiment of the present invention is connected, and has an internal thread 11 into which a nut 2 is screwed onto an inner surface of an end of a joint body 1. In the back, there is a large-diameter annular portion 12 to which the packing 3 is mounted and a step portion 13, and a small-diameter annular portion 14. The large-diameter annular portion 12 and the small-diameter annular portion 14 are parallel inner surfaces, and a continuous packing mounting portion is formed by a stepped portion 13 that is inclined at the intermediate portion. The inner side of the small-diameter annular portion 14 is a through-hole 15 having an inner diameter through which the connecting pipe 6 is inserted. The step portion 13 may be a right-angle wall.
[0008]
The packing 3 is made of an annular metal that is held between the seal portion 31 attached to the small-diameter annular portion 14 of the joint body 1, the compression portion 32 attached to the large-diameter annular portion 14, and the seal portion 31 and the compression portion 32. And the retainer 33. The outer diameter of the retainer 33 is approximately similar to the outer diameter of the compression portion 32 and is locked to the step portion 13 of the joint body. The inner diameter is larger than the inner diameter of the packing 3, and therefore the seal portion 31 and the compression portion 32 are formed of rubber having continuous and integral elasticity.
[0009]
A collar 5 is attached to the end of the packing 3, the nut 2 has a male screw 21 that engages with the female thread 11 of the joint body, and a hexagonal part having the same dimensions as the outer diameter of the joint body 1 at the end. 22 is provided.
By tightening the nut 2 to the joint main body 1, the end 23 of the nut 2 presses the packing 3 to the inner back of the joint via the collar 5. In the packing 3, the retainer 33 is locked to the step portion 13 in a state where the seal portion 31 is appropriately compressed. Therefore, the compression portion 32 receives a large compressive force and compresses the surface of the tube 6 firmly, and the tube is pulled out. Stop and hold.
[0010]
Even after the pipe 6 is connected, even if a pulling force acts on the pipe and moves in the joint, the compressing force of the packing compressing portion 32 is not lowered and the pipe is held, and the compressing portion 32 has a large compressive force. The appropriate compressive force required for sealing the seal portion 31 does not decrease. For this reason, an appropriate tube holding force and good airtightness are maintained over a long period of time.
Further, since the inner surface of the joint body 1 is provided in the through-hole 15 through which the connection pipe 6 can be inserted, even if the pipe 6 to be connected is a pipe to be connected to both sides and fixed, The connecting pipe 6 can be easily butt-connected by inserting and moving the joint body.
Moreover, since the number of parts is smaller than that of the conventional packing-type pipe joint, and the entire joint can be formed compactly and the weight can be reduced, the workability of piping is good.
[0011]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, the present invention always maintains a good sealing property and holds the pipe even if the pulling force acts on the pipe to cause movement. Furthermore, it is a packing type pipe joint that requires only a small number of parts, can be compactly formed, and has excellent workability.
