しかしながら、上記した従来の自動販売機における押ボタン装置、例えば実用新案登録第2506507号公報に記載の押ボタン装置にあっては、パネルの前面に大きく突出させて装着してなる構造を有するために、近年、機体の道路への食み出し設置が厳しく規制されている現状では、押ボタン装置を含めた機体全体の奥行寸法を小さくすることが困難である。
