Description

【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an attachment pasting apparatus for pasting an attachment such as a CD-ROM on a signature constituting a magazine or the like.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Recently, various attachments such as a CD-ROM or the like in a paper bag, a mount on which a cosmetic sample is applied, a postcard, an envelope, or the like is attached to a magazine. The conventional method of attaching attachments to magazines is to attach attachments to signatures with a sticking device provided separately from the bookbinding line (collating line), or to manually attach attachments to signatures. It was a method of putting.
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
As described above, conventionally, since attachments are pasted in a process separate from the bookbinding line, there is a problem that man-hours increase and productivity decreases. In particular, when the attachment is a CD-ROM, it is difficult to handle, so it is done manually, which is more expensive.
[0004]
In addition, the conventional pasting apparatus places a signature on a conveyance path that is substantially horizontal in the traveling direction and slightly inclined in the direction perpendicular thereto, and one side edge of the signature is conveyed to the lower side of the conveyance path. It is regulated by the side edge guide that is formed along the edge, and the trailing edge of the signature is pushed with a pushing claw so that it travels on the conveyance path, and the attachment is supplied onto the signature in the middle of the attachment. The object is also configured to be positioned and overlapped with each other by being pushed by the pushing claws while the position is regulated by the side edge guide, and conveyed to the downstream pasting position. For this reason, the attachment to be attached to the signature is only positioned in a state where one side edge and the end edge are aligned with respect to the signature, and the attachment position is limited. There is also a problem that it is extremely difficult to attach the attachment to the desired position.
[0005]
The present invention has been made in view of such problems, and can attach an attachment such as a CD-ROM to a desired position of a signature, and can also be incorporated into a bookbinding line (collation line). An object is to provide an attachment pasting apparatus.
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to solve such a conventional problem, the present invention is configured such that a signature to which an attachment is to be attached is straddled on a transport chain similar to a transport chain (gathering chain) used in a conventional bookbinding line (collating line). In this state, the paper is conveyed while being held at a constant pitch, and a pasting position is set in the middle of the travel path of the signature, and the attachment is synchronized with the signature that passes through the pasting position. And sending it at a substantially equal angle to the attachment region of the signature, and superimposing the signature attachment region of the attachment on the attachment region of the signature passing through the attachment position, In addition to providing an attachment supply device for supplying attachments, a paste applying means is provided upstream of the attachment position, and a pressing means for pressing the attachment against the signature is provided at the attachment position. Supply device The attachment is held at an angle substantially equal to the angle formed by the attachment attachment area of the signature being conveyed by the conveyance chain with respect to the vertical while the attachment is small in the travel path of the signature. And guide means for guiding the vehicle so as to travel along a transport route intersecting at the pasting position, and feeding for causing the attachment guided by the guide means to synchronize with the signature transported by the transport chain. Means, a supply base for setting a number of attachments in a stacked state, and a feed means for taking out attachments one by one from the supply base and supplying them to the guide means.
Here, the feeding means of the attachment supply means transports the endless drive chain having push pins attached at a pitch equal to the pitch of the signature held on the transport chain, and the endless drive chain. A chain drive device that travels at the same speed as the chain, and chain holding means that travels along the guide means so that the endless drive chain is transported by pushing the attachments whose push pins are guided by the guide means. It is preferable to have a configuration having
[0007]
Since this invention is the above-mentioned composition, when a signature conveyed with a conveyance chain passes a pasting position, an attachment supply device supplies an attachment so that it may overlap and overlap, and for this reason The signature and the attachment pass through the pasting position in an overlapping state, and since the glue applicator applies the adhesive to the signature or the attachment upstream, it is overlapped at the pasting position. The adhesive is interposed between the signature and the attachment, and the signature and attachment that are passed by being overlapped at the pasting position are pressed by the pressing means provided at the pasting position. , You can paste the attachment on the signature. Here, by changing the timing of the signature and the attachment that passes through the attachment position, the attachment position of the attachment to the signature can be changed to the direction of the signature, and the attachment supply device sends the attachment. By changing the position in the height direction, the attachment position of the attachment to the signature can also be changed in the height direction, and eventually the attachment can be attached to the signature at a desired position. Furthermore, in the present invention, the conveyance chain similar to the conveyance chain used in the conventional bookbinding line is used for conveying the signature, and the signature is held in the same manner as the bookbinding line. The apparatus can be easily incorporated into the bookbinding line, thereby enabling attachment of attachments within the bookbinding line.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings.
FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing a schematic configuration of an attachment pasting apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention incorporated in a bookbinding line, and FIGS. 2A and 2B are a schematic plan view and a schematic side view of the above embodiment, respectively. 3 is a schematic cross-sectional view taken along the line AA in FIG. 1, FIG. 4 is a schematic cross-sectional view taken along the line BB in FIG. 1, and FIG. 5 is an attachment supply device provided in the above attachment pasting apparatus, FIG. 6 is a schematic plan view of the vicinity viewed from above and in a direction parallel to the attachment (in the direction of arrow C in FIG. 3). FIG. 6 shows the attachment supply apparatus provided in the attachment pasting apparatus and the vicinity thereof. FIG. 4 is a schematic cross-sectional view cut at the position of the guide means and viewed in a direction perpendicular to the attachment (in the direction of arrow DD in FIG. 3).
[0009]
In FIG. 1, reference numeral 1 denotes a signature to be attached with an attachment, and reference numeral 2 denotes an attachment to be attached to the signature 1. In this embodiment, a CD-ROM is stored in a paper bag. The attachment 2 is attached to the signature 1 by attaching a region 2a indicated by hatching at the upper end to the signature 1 with an adhesive or the like. In this specification, this area 2a is referred to as a signature pasting area, and the area of the signature 1 where the signature pasting area 2a is pasted is referred to as an attachment pasting area. Note that the attachment 2 is not limited to a CD-ROM, and may be any postcard, envelope, mount on which a cosmetic sample is applied, or the like. Reference numeral 4 denotes a bookbinding line conveying chain (gathering chain), which is arranged so as to run on both sides of a guide 5a fixed at the center as shown in FIGS. A signature holding member 4a to be held, a roller chain 4b to support the signature holding member 4a, and push claws 4c arranged at a constant pitch in the longitudinal direction of the transport chain are provided. Usually, the transport chain 4 is arranged horizontally and is configured to continuously run at a constant speed.
[0010]
A plurality of signature feeders (not shown) are arranged along the transport chain 4 upstream and downstream of the region shown in FIG. 1 of the transport chain 4, and the push claw 4c passes over the transport chain 4. The signatures are supplied one after another at the same time. Thus, the transport chain 4 can be transported one after another with the signatures straddling the chain, and can be transported while being held at a constant pitch determined by the push claws 4c. FIG. 1 shows a state in which the signature 1 on which the attachment 2 is to be pasted is held by the transport chain 4 and is running with the signature 1 positioned at the top.
[0011]
As is clear from FIGS. 3 and 4, the signature holding member 4a of the transport chain 4 has a support surface for supporting the signature 1 that is inclined by an angle α with respect to the vertical. Each side is held in an inclined state by an angle α. This angle α is normally set to about 40 degrees. In this embodiment, the signature holding region 4a (see FIG. 1) at the tip of the attachment 2 is attached to the signature portion held by the inclined support surface of the signature holding member 4a. Therefore, the attachment pasting area of the signature 1 is supported by the signature holding member 4a, and is inclined by an angle α with respect to the vertical. A fixed guide 5 b is provided below the traveling portion of the transport chain 4 so as to guide the lower portion of the signature 1.
[0012]
1 to 6, P is a pasting position set on the travel route of the signature 1 conveyed by the transport chain 4, and 6 is the pasting position of the attachment 2 at the pasting position P. Synchronized with the signature 1 passing through P and sent at an angle (angle α shown in FIG. 4) substantially equal to the attachment pasting area of the signature, the attachment pasting area of the signature 1 passing through the pasting position P It is an attachment supply apparatus which supplies the attachment 2 so that the signature sticking area | region 2a of the attachment 2 may be overlaid on. The attachment supply device 6 travels along the guide 2 that guides the attachment 2 along a predetermined transport path while holding the attachment 2 at a constant angle with respect to the vertical, and the attachment 2 guided by the guide 7. A feed unit 8 for setting a plurality of attachments 2, a feed unit 10 for feeding the attachments 2 from the supply table 9 to the guide unit 7, and the like. Hereinafter, each component will be further described.
[0013]
In FIGS. 1, 3, 5, and 6, the guide means 7 includes a bottom guide 12 that supports and guides the lower end of the attachment 2, and a side guide 13 that guides the upper and lower portions of both side surfaces of the attachment 2. Etc. As can be clearly understood from FIG. 3, the side guide 13 is configured so that the attachment 2 is approximately at an angle α formed by the attachment attachment region of the signature 1 held by the signature holding member 4 a of the transport chain 4 with respect to the vertical. The conveyance path 14 of the attachment 2 formed by the side guides 13 on both sides is provided so as to be held and guided in an inclined state at an equal angle. The travel path OO of the signature 1 transported by the transport chain 4 is arranged at a small angle θ and at a pasting position P. Here, the small angle θ is preferably as small as possible so that the attachment 2 can be smoothly stacked on the signature 1, but the guide means 7 and other parts are arranged at a position that does not interfere with the traveling signature 1. For this purpose, a certain degree of size is necessary, and in consideration of these, it is usually set to about 5 to 20 degrees, and in this embodiment, it is set to 10 degrees.
[0014]
The attachment position of the guide means 7 in the height direction (attachment position of the bottom surface guide 12) is indicated by a one-dot chain line 15 in FIGS. 2 (a) and 2 (b) at the lower end of the attachment 2 guided by the guide means 7. It is determined to pass through a route (hereinafter referred to as a lower end route). That is, as shown in FIG. 2 (b), when the attachment 2 contacts the signature 1 at the attachment position P, the lower end path 15 is such that the leading edge 2b of the attachment 2 becomes the leading edge 1b of the signature 1. It is slightly inclined with respect to the horizontal so as to be parallel to the horizontal axis. This is because the signature 1 is inclined by an angle α with respect to the vertical in the vertical plane as shown in FIG. 4, and the conveying path of the guide means 7 is angled with respect to the signature 1 as shown in FIG. Since it is inclined by θ, when the leading edge 2b of the attachment 2 is parallel to the leading edge 1b of the signature 1 at the pasting position (intersection position) P, the lower end of the attachment 2 is slightly inclined with respect to the horizontal. This is to achieve the state. Further, the lower end path 15 by the guide means 7 is such that when the front end edge 2b of the attachment 2 traveling along the lower end path reaches the sticking position P, the front end edge 2b is higher than the signature 1. It is determined to be a desired position in the direction. Thus, the guide means 7 holds the attachment 2 to be attached to the signature 1 at an angle substantially equal to the attachment attachment region of the signature 1 being conveyed by the conveyance chain 4 (see FIGS. 3 and 4). ), Guiding the attachment so as to travel along a transport path 14 that intersects the travel path OO of the signature transported by the transport chain at a small angle (see FIG. 5), and at the pasting position P It can be overlaid on a predetermined area of the signature 1.
[0015]
As described above, in FIG. 2B, the lower end path 15 of the attachment 2 formed by the guide means 7 is attached to the front end edge 2b of the attachment 2 in parallel with the front end edge 1b of the signature 1. It is necessary to be inclined at a position in contact with the insertion position P. However, it is not always necessary to incline at a position away from the pasting position P. In this embodiment, a region farther than the position Q is used as the horizontal lower end path 15a. For this reason, as shown in FIG. 2A, when the lower end path 15 a is viewed in a plane, the lower end path 15 a is disposed so as to be farther away from the transport chain 4 than the lower end path 15. If the lower end path 15a is arranged horizontally in this way, the guide means 7 can be arranged horizontally, which facilitates manufacture and management. Also, if the lower end path 15a is arranged so as to be abruptly moved away from the conveyance chain 4, There is an advantage that it is easy to secure a space for placing other components between them.
[0016]
In FIG. 1 to FIG. 6, the feeding means 8 for traveling the attachment 2 guided by the guide means 7 is the pitch of the signature 1 held by the transport chain 4 (that is, the push claw 4 c attached to the transport chain 4. The endless drive chain 18 having the push pins 17 attached at a pitch equal to the pitch of the end) and the endless drive chain 18 are conveyed by pushing the attachment 2 on which the push pins 17 are guided by the guide means 7. As described above, a chain holding means for traveling along the guide means 7, that is, a sprocket 20, and a chain driving device (not shown) for causing the endless drive chain 18 to travel at the same speed as the transport chain 4 are provided. With this configuration, the feeding device 8 can convey the attachment 2 guided by the guide means 7 in synchronization with the signature 1 conveyed by the conveyance chain 4. The attachment 2 can be supplied so as to overlap at a fixed position in the traveling direction, and can be conveyed at the same speed as the signature 1.
[0017]
Strictly speaking, since the attachment 2 travels while changing its direction at the pasting position P by an angle θ (see FIG. 5), the attachment 2 by the push pin 17 in the direction of the signature travel path OO. The transport speed is the speed of the push pin 17 × cos θ, which is slightly smaller than the transport speed of the signature 1 (equal to the travel speed of the push pin 17). However, since the angle θ is very small, the speed reduction due to the direction change of the attachment 2 is very small, and the attachment 2 travels while being attached to the signature 1, so there is no particular problem. If the speed reduction due to the attachment 2 passing through the pasting position P and changing its direction by the angle θ becomes a problem, the traveling speed of the endless drive chain 18 is set to 1 / of the conveying speed of the signature 1. The pitch of the push pins 17 may be 1 / cos θ of the signature 1.
[0018]
5 and 6, a supply base 9 for setting a plurality of attachments 2 is parallel to the attachments 2 which are regulated by the side guides 13 of the guide means 7 in a state where a large number of attachments 2 are stacked. Can be held in a stable state. At the front end of the supply base 9, the attachment 2 positioned at the front ends of a large number of attachments set on the supply base 9 is positioned on the extension of the conveyance path 14 formed by the side guide 13 of the guide means 7. A positioning guide 21 to be regulated is provided, and the attachment 2 at the tip is moved in the lateral direction so that it can be supplied into the guide means 7. Further, a regulating member 22 for preventing two-sheet feeding is attached to the side surface of the supply base 9 on the guide means 7 side.
[0019]
The feed means 10 for sending the attachment 2 from the supply base 9 to the guide means 7 includes a soccer 24 capable of adsorbing and holding the tip attachment 2 on the supply base 9, and a side face by sucking the attachment 2 at the tip with the soccer 24. A driving device (not shown) for moving the soccer 24 along a circulation path indicated by a solid line 25, and the soccer 24 sucks and holds the attachment 2 at the tip and moves it sideways in order to pull it out in the direction. Further, the control valve (not shown) for controlling the vacuum supply to the soccer 24 so as to release the suction hold, and the attachment 2 drawn laterally from the supply base 9 are further conveyed to guide the side of the guide means 7. 13 are provided with conveying rollers 27 and 28, a conveying belt 29, pressing rollers 30 and 31 and the like. Thus, the soccer 24 withdraws the tip of the attachment 2 set on the supply base 9 to the side, and then the attachment 2 is further conveyed in the lateral direction by the conveying belt 29 and the pressing rollers 30, 31 to guide means. 7 can be supplied.
[0020]
Here, as can be clearly understood from FIG. 6, the travel path of the endless drive chain 18 provided with the push pins 17 for traveling the attachment 2 in the guide means 7 is defined by the transport belt 29 and the pressing rollers 30 and 31. Behind the attachment 2 fed into the guide means 7, it is determined that the push pin 17 can move up behind the attachment 2 and then push the rear end of the attachment 2. Further, the take-out timing of the attachment 2 by the soccer 24 is determined so that when the push pin 17 is below the position where the attachment 2 travels, the attachment 2 passes above and is fed into the guide means 7. ing. Thus, the feed means 10 separates the attachments 2 set on the supply base 9 one by one and feeds them into the guide means 7, and the feeding means 8 uses the push pin 17 to move the rear end of the attachment 2. By pushing, the attachment 2 can be conveyed toward the affixing position P with respect to the travel route of the signature and in synchronization with the travel of the signature 1 while being guided by the guide means 7.
[0021]
1 to 6, 35 is arranged at a pasting position P where the travel path of the signature 1 and the transport path 14 of the attachment 2 intersect, and the signature pasting area 2 a of the attachment 2 is placed on the signature 1. The pressing means is a pressing means, and a pressing roller is used in this embodiment. The pressing roller 35 presses the vicinity of the upper edge of the attachment 2 (the area including the signature pasting area) against the area (the area including the attachment pasting area) held by the signature holding member 4 a of the signature 1. Has been placed. Further, the presser roller 35 is formed with a notch 36 (see FIG. 5) in a part of the outer periphery and an outer peripheral length (notch) so as not to interfere when the push claw 4c of the transport chain 4 passes. 36 including the portion 36) is set to be equal to the pitch of the push claws 4c of the transport chain 4, and is further configured to be rotationally driven in synchronization with the travel of the transport chain 4. The pressing roller 35 may not interfere with the pressing claw 4c depending on the shape and mounting position of the pressing claw 4c, or depending on the attachment position of the attachment 2 to the signature 1. It is not necessary to provide a cutout in the roller 35, and the outer peripheral length can be arbitrarily set. Furthermore, the pressing roller 35 may be configured to rotate freely.
[0022]
In FIG. 1 and FIG. 3, the transport path of the attachment 2 by the guide means 7 upstream of the sticking position P where the pressing roller 35 is arranged is suitable for the signature sticking region near the upper end of the attachment 2 passing through. A glue applying means 38 for applying an adhesive is provided. In the present embodiment, the glue applying means 38 is one that sprays and applies a hot melt adhesive, but other types may also be used. Note that the attachment position of the glue applying means 38 is not limited to the position where the glue is applied to the attachment 2 but may be changed so that the glue is applied to the signature 1. Furthermore, it is also possible to apply a paste such as a pressure-sensitive adhesive to the attachment 2 or signature 1 in advance, and in this case, the paste applying means 38 can be omitted.
[0023]
Next, operation | movement of the attachment sticking apparatus of the said structure is demonstrated. In FIG. 1, the transport chain 4 travels at a constant speed in the arrow X direction, and the signature 1 is supplied onto the transport chain 4 upstream thereof. Thus, the transport chain 4 transports the signature 1 while holding the signature 1 at a constant pitch determined by the push claws 4c. On the other hand, the attachments 2 set on the supply base 9 are pulled out one by one and fed into the guide means 7, and the feeding means 8 pushes the rear end of the attachment 2 with the push pin 17, With the attachment 2 guided by the guide means 7, the attachment 2 is conveyed toward the pasting position P that intersects the travel path of the signature and in synchronization with the travel of the signature 1 by the transport chain 4. On the way, when the attachment 2 passes in front of the glue applying means 38, the glue applying means 38 sprays a hot melt adhesive and applies it to the vicinity of the upper edge of the attachment 2.
[0024]
And when the front-end | tip of the attachment 2 arrives at the sticking position P where the driving | running route of the signature 1 and the conveyance path | route of the attachment 2 cross | intersect, just the sticking position P will be the predetermined sticking of the signature 1 at that time The starting position is passing, the attachment 2 is superimposed on the signature 1, and the pressing roller 35 presses the vicinity of the upper edge of the attachment 2 against the signature 1 (see FIG. 4). As a result, the attachment 2 is attached to the signature 1. Here, the attachment area of the signature 1 is held in a state inclined by an angle α with respect to the vertical by the signature holding member 4a, but the attachment 2 guided by the guide means 7 is also at a similar angle. Since it is inclined, it can be superposed well. Moreover, since the conveyance direction of the attachment 2 intersects with the traveling direction of the signature 1 at a small angle θ (see FIG. 5), it is also superposed well. Thus, the attachment 2 can be satisfactorily attached to the running signature 1.
[0025]
When one attachment 2 passes under the pressing roller 35 while being attached to one signature 1 and the next attachment 2 reaches the attachment position P, the predetermined attachment of the next signature 1 is simultaneously performed. The start position is passing through the pasting position P, and the attachment 2 is pasted at the predetermined position of the signature 1 as described above. In the same manner, the attachment 2 is pasted at a predetermined position of each signature 1 that is continuously running at a constant pitch by the transport chain 4.
[0026]
Here, by changing the phase of conveyance of the signature 1 by the conveyance chain 4 and the conveyance of the attachment 2 by the feeding means 8, the timing at which the attachment 2 hits the signature 1 at the pasting position P can be changed. Therefore, the attachment position of the attachment 2 with respect to the signature 1 can be changed in the traveling direction of the signature 1. In other words, in FIG. 1, the distance d between the leading edge 1b of the signature 1 and the leading edge 2b of the attachment 2 can be arbitrarily adjusted. Further, by changing the mounting height of the guide means 7, the attachment position of the attachment 2 with respect to the signature 1 can be changed in a direction perpendicular to the traveling direction of the signature, and the back 1c of the signature 1 and the attachment 2 The interval e between the upper end edges 2c can be arbitrarily adjusted. Thus, the attachment 2 can be pasted at an arbitrary position on the signature 1. In addition, when the attachment position of the attachment 2 with respect to the signature 1 is largely separated from the spine 1c, the attachment 2 is attached to a portion below the portion held by the signature holding member 4a of the signature 1. It may become. In this case, since the back of the signature 1 pressed by the pressing roller 35 may be insufficiently supported, a receiving roller is disposed at that position or a fixed guide is disposed to support the back of the signature 1. What is necessary is just composition.
[0027]
In FIG. 1, the signature 1 with the attachment 2 attached is conveyed further downstream by the conveyance chain 4, and another signature is further placed on the signature 1 by the signature feeder arranged along the conveyance chain 4. Ding is placed, then bound and bound. As described above, in this embodiment, the attachment 2 can be attached to the signature 1 placed on the conveyance chain 4 of the bookbinding line, and therefore the attachment can be attached inline on the bookbinding line. The process can be simplified and the cost of bookbinding can be reduced as compared to the case where attachment is pasted in a separate process from the bookbinding line as in the prior art.
[0028]
Note that the present invention is not limited to being incorporated into a bookbinding line, but can also be used as a single device that only attaches attachments to signatures. In this case, if one signature feeder is provided upstream of the transport chain 4 shown in FIG. 1, and a device for collecting the signatures after the attachment 2 is pasted is arranged downstream. Good.
[0029]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the present invention, it is held at a constant pitch in a state straddling the transport chain, and an attachment can be automatically attached to a running signature, The cost for attaching the attachment can be reduced, and the attachment position of the attachment with respect to the signature can be arbitrarily set.
[0030]
Furthermore, since the sticking device of the present invention can be incorporated into a bookbinding line, attachments can be stuck in-line on the bookbinding line, and the attachments are separate from the bookbinding line as in the past. Compared with the case of pasting, the process can be simplified and the cost and time required for bookbinding can be shortened.
