本発明は、株券、商品券あるいはクレジットカード等有価証券の他、商品用の封印シールやタグ類に偽造・複製の防止用として施す印刷を含めた画像形成体に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
従来、株券、商品券さらにはクレジットカード等有価証券類の他、商品用の封印シールやタグ類に至るまで偽造・複製による不正使用を防止するため、精巧な印刷技術による印刷等が施されているのが一般的であったが、近年の偽造・複製による不正使用の頻発に鑑み、これら精巧な印刷等に加え特殊な偽造防止策が施されるようになってきた。

この特殊な偽造防止策として、例えばホログラムを貼付けるたり、紫外線で発色する材料や画像を施して紫外線照射で真偽判定をする方法などがあり、あるいは、金属箔層に万線方向が異なる万線状凹凸パターン群が複数集合したエンボスパターンを形成したもので、見る角度を変化させると万線状凹凸パターン群の濃淡や輝きが変化する、所謂オパール効果を有する画像体として有価証券類等に貼付けたりする方法や、さらには所定のピッチで万線状に印刷した直線と、この直線と同一ピッチの万線状のエンボスでなる凸部とを平行に形成し、この凸部を略半ピッチずらして潜像部を形成した印刷物があり、これを斜めから観察すると潜像が現れる偽造防止技術がある。

上記万線状のエンボスでなる凸部を有する偽造防止技術について、さらに詳しく説明すると、例えば図9(a)の拡大上面図および図1(b)の拡大斜視図に示すように、所定のピッチでなる印刷万線(10)と、この印刷万線(10)と同一ピッチでなり、かつこの印刷万線(10)に対し略1/4ピッチずらした万線状のエンボスでなる万線状凸部(20)が平行に形成され、この万線状凸部(20)に対し1/2ピッチずらして潜像万線状凸部(22)が形成されている印刷物である。この印刷物を上面から見ても何も見えないが、手前から見ると、万線状凸部(20)の部分が白く(基材の色として)見え、潜像万線状凸部(22)の部分が印刷万線(10)の色で浮かび上がって見え、逆に後側から見ると、万線状凸部(20)の部分が印刷万線(10)の色で見え、潜像万線状凸部(22)の部分が白く浮かび上がって見えるようにした偽造防止技術がある。

しかしながら、最近では上記のホログラム技術や紫外線照射で真偽判定する技術は一般化されてきて、偽造・複製が比較的容易なものとなってきた。また、上記のオパール効果を利用した技術においても比較的容易に万線形状を読み取ることができ、この技術と機械があれば偽造・複製が容易なものとなってきた。さらにまた、上記の万線状のエンボスでなる凸部を有する偽造防止技術を利用した方法は、潜像部のパターン自体は比較的単純であるため、その偽造防止等に気付き、それなりの知見と技術のある者であれば容易に作製可能なものであり、偽造防止という点では問題のあるものであった。さらにまた潜像部が一つのパターンのみであるためデザイン性に制限があるという問題もあった。

本発明に於いて上記課題を達成するために、まず請求項1の発明では、基材の片面に、エンボスされた万線状の直線でなる凸部と、該凸部と同一ピッチで、かつ平行に、略1/4ピッチずらして少なくとも前記基材と異なる1色で印刷されている網点とで構成されている背景部と、

以下本発明の実施の形態を説明する。
