Description
【0001】

h′ = fsinθ
【0051】
倍率βから計算される画像表示装置32の出射面O(画像)のサイズは33.25mm(Y)×44.33mm(X)であるが、実際には歪曲収差の補正のために歪んでいて、サイズはおおよそ20.39mm(Y)×35.72mm(X)となる。

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a projector that enlarges and projects an image.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, in a projector that magnifies and projects an image modulated by a liquid crystal display panel, DMD (digital micromirror device), or the like, the projection optical system is often composed of a refractive optical system having a lens. On the other hand, it is projected substantially perpendicularly. Since such a projector is used indoors, it is necessary to project a large image with a short distance to the screen, so a projection optical system with a wide angle of view is required, and high resolution is also required. Is done. When such a projection optical system is constituted by a refractive optical system, it is necessary to correct various aberrations including chromatic aberration in a wide angle range. For example, chromatic aberration correction using a glass material having different refractive index dispersion is performed. Doing so results in a large projection optical system with a large number of lenses.
[0003]
Further, when the projector is positioned between the screen and the viewer facing the screen, a part of the projected image becomes a shadow of the projector, so that the viewer becomes difficult to see the projected image. Alternatively, if there is an observer between the projector and the screen, light cannot be projected well because the observer blocks light. For this reason, in order to increase the degree of freedom of the arrangement of the projector with respect to the screen, it is necessary to be able to project from an oblique direction with respect to the screen.
[0004]
In order to solve the above problems, a method of realizing a projection optical system using a reflection optical system is known (see, for example,

[Problems to be solved by the invention]
On the other hand, there is a remarkable downsizing of information equipment in recent years, but a display device such as a liquid crystal panel mounted on a mobile phone or a PDA (personal digital assistant) needs to have a certain size. Information devices are required to be miniaturized, and it is difficult to request a large display device. However, if a projector is used, it is possible to project only an image while keeping the device small. However, since it is necessary to downsize not only the projection optical system but also the image display device by downsizing the projector, the pixels constituting the image display device are reduced, so that high resolution is achieved, and A bright projection optical system is required.
[0007]
However, since the projection optical system described in
[0008]
SUMMARY An advantage of some aspects of the invention is that it provides a projector using a projection optical system including a reflective optical system capable of oblique projection with a small and simple configuration.
[0009]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to solve the above-described problems, a projector according to the present invention forms an image display device that emits an image displayed on an exit surface as a light beam, a control device that controls the image, and forms the light beam as a projected image on a projection surface. And a projection optical system. The projection optical system includes a first mirror having a concave reflecting surface having a positive power for reflecting a light beam emitted from an image display device, and a negative power for reflecting the light beam reflected by the first mirror. And a second mirror formed with a convex reflecting surface, and the reflecting surfaces of the first mirror and the second mirror are formed in an axisymmetric aspherical shape with respect to the symmetry axis, and the symmetry axes coincide with each other. A coaxial system arranged so as to be configured is configured. At this time, the numerical aperture on the image display device side of the projection optical system is configured to be 0.1 or more.
[0010]
When the radius of curvature of the reflecting surface of the first mirror is r1 and the radius of curvature of the reflecting surface of the second mirror is r2, the following equation 1.3 | r1 | ≧ | r2 | ≧ | r1 |
It is preferable to configure the projector according to the present invention so as to satisfy the above.
[0011]
Further, it is preferable that the distortion of the projection image by the projection optical system is corrected by distorting the image displayed on the image display device by the control device.
[0012]
At this time, the angle formed between the principal ray emitted from the projection optical system and the optical axis corresponding to the light ray of the image emitted from the position of the height h ′ from the optical axis on the emission surface of the image display device is defined as θ. When the focal length of the optical system is f, the following expression h ′ = fsinθ
It is preferable that the configuration is satisfied.
[0013]
Furthermore, the projected image can be configured to have uniform brightness by adjusting the amount of light of the image corresponding to the size of the angle formed between the principal ray emitted from the projection optical system and the optical axis. preferable.
[0014]
At this time, it is preferable to adjust the light quantity of the image so that the radiation intensity of the image is proportional to 1 / cos 4 θ, where θ is the angle formed between the principal ray emitted from the projection optical system and the optical axis.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. As shown in FIG. 1, the

The reflecting surfaces formed on the first mirror M1 and the second mirror M2 have an axisymmetric aspherical shape, and the first mirror M1 and the second mirror M2 are arranged so that the symmetry axes coincide with each other. Further, it is preferable that the following conditional expression (1) is satisfied when the radius of curvature of the reflecting surface of the first mirror M1 is r1 and the radius of curvature of the reflecting surface of the second mirror M2 is r2. .

The Petzval sum becomes closer to 0 as the ratio of the curvature radii r1 and r2 of the reflecting surfaces of the first mirror M1 and the second mirror M2 is closer to 1. Therefore, if the reflecting surfaces of the first mirror M1 and the second mirror M2 are formed within the range of the conditional expression (1), a projection optical system suitable for oblique projection that can easily correct astigmatism and field curvature.
