本発明は、内槽内に温風を送風して洗濯物を乾燥させる行程を有し、洗濯から乾燥までを一貫して実施できる洗濯乾燥機に関するものである。

従来、この種の洗濯乾燥機は図5に示すように構成していた。以下、その構成について説明する。

図5に示すように、筐体1は、外槽2をサスペンション3により懸垂防振支持している。外槽2の内部に回転中心軸を略鉛直方向に有する内槽4を回転自在に設け、この内槽4の中央内底部に回転翼5を回転自在に設け、内槽4の上方に流体バランサー6を設けている。外槽2の下方にモータ(駆動手段)7を設け、中空で二軸構造となった洗濯・脱水軸8、および洗濯または脱水時によって回転力の伝達を洗濯・脱水軸8に切り換えるクラッチ9を介して、内槽4または回転翼5に連結している。

上記構成において動作を説明する。洗濯行程では、内槽4に衣類と洗剤を投入して運転を開始すると、給水弁(図示せず)を開いて内槽4内に所定量の水を給水し、伝達機構部のクラッチ9を洗濯側に設定して、モータ7の動力を洗濯軸を介し回転翼5に伝達し、回転翼5を回転させて衣類を水中で攪拌して洗濯する。その後、排水弁16を開いて排水し、すすぎ行程で再度給水し洗濯行程と同様にして衣類をすすぐ。
