D1=0.571となる。
D1=0.162となる。
【0020】
D2=0.0927に押えることができる。
【0021】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an optical transmission apparatus responsible for transmission of an optical signal between a plurality of circuit boards or devices.
[0002]
[Prior art and problems to be solved by the invention]
An electric bus circuit is generally used to connect a plurality of microprocessors and memories. However, the electrical bus circuit has a problem that the processing speed of the system is limited by the signal delay caused by the capacitance between the connection wires and the connection wire resistance, and electromagnetic noise is generated when the density of the parallel bus connection wires is increased. Therefore, it is becoming difficult to cope with high speed. Therefore, an optical interconnection technique that replaces electrical wiring with optical wiring to increase the speed of the bus has been proposed.
[0003]
As one of such optical interconnection technologies, there is an optical transmission device disclosed in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 2000-329962. This conventional optical transmission device includes a sheet-like translucent medium, optical fibers connected to both sides of the translucent medium, and an optical wiring body in which the translucent medium and the optical fiber are wired. The optical wiring board which has is used. A plurality of optical wiring substrates are stacked to form an optical wiring substrate stack, and the other end of the optical fiber is drawn out from the optical wiring substrate stack and connected to an electric wiring substrate having a photoelectric conversion element.
[0004]
However, in the above-described conventional example, the positioning with respect to the other end of the optical fiber is not particularly considered, and the other end of the optical fiber is merely extended from the optical wiring body. In particular, in the stacking direction of the optical wiring board, since the optical wiring main body is stacked, tolerances in the thickness direction of the optical wiring main body are stacked, and a positional deviation occurs between the photoelectric conversion element and coupling with the photoelectric conversion element. There was a problem that the loss increased.
[0005]
An object of the present invention is to improve the positional accuracy of an optical fiber in the stacking direction of an optical wiring board and to reduce the coupling loss at the connection portion of the optical fiber.
[Means for Solving the Problems]
[0006]
In order to solve the above-described problem, the first feature of the present invention is that a translucent medium and a plurality of optical fibers each having one end connected to the translucent medium and the other end extending from the one end. the a transparent medium and a plurality of optical wiring substrate and an optical interconnection body which the optical fiber is wired, the optical wiring board by stacking a plurality constitute an optical wiring board laminate, the optical fiber is the The other end of the optical fiber is bent above the optical wiring board, the other end of the optical fiber is disposed on one side of the optical wiring board laminate, protrudes from the optical wiring body, and protrudes from the plurality of optical wiring bodies the provided ferrule for fixing together in the laminating direction of the optical wiring board, wherein the plurality of optical fibers in an optical transmission apparatus that includes the input optical fiber and a plurality of output optical fibers. Since the ferrule that fixes the other end of the optical fiber in the direction of stacking the optical wiring board is provided, the tolerance stacking due to the stacking of the optical wiring body can be absorbed by the ferrule, and the positioning accuracy of the other end of the optical fiber is improved. be able to.
[0007]
The ferrule for fixing the optical fiber can be further fixed to the support substrate. The optical fiber and the support substrate may be formed by forming a ferrule fixing hole in the support substrate, and inserting and fixing a ferrule in which the optical fiber is fixed in the ferrule fixing hole, or forming an optical fiber insertion groove in the support substrate. It is also possible to insert an optical fiber into the optical fiber insertion hole, fix the other end of the inserted optical fiber to the ferrule, and fix the ferrule to the support substrate. Also, there may be a plurality of optical wiring board laminates, and the optical fibers of the plurality of optical wiring board laminates can be fixed together on one support substrate.
[0008]
The second feature of the present invention is that an optical transmission system is configured by connecting a plurality of electrical wiring boards to the optical transmission apparatus described above. That is, a plurality of photoelectric conversion elements provided on a plurality of electrical wiring boards are optically connected to the other end of an optical fiber drawn from a plurality of stacked optical wiring boards and fixed to a ferrule. Therefore, the positional accuracy at the other end of the optical fiber can be improved, and the coupling loss between the optical fiber and the photoelectric conversion element can be reduced.

11 and 12 show the relationship between the positional shift and the coupling loss between the optical fiber and the photoelectric conversion element when the diameter of the optical fiber is φ1 mm and φ0.5 mm. As is clear from this, coupling loss can be reduced by reducing the optical fiber misalignment using a ferrule. In the case of no ferrule, when the tolerance of the optical wiring body is ± 0.2 mm, the coupling loss exceeds −4 dB, whereas the coupling loss can be suppressed to −0.5 dB or less by using the ferrule. Even if there is no ferrule, if the tolerance of the optical wiring body is suppressed to ± 0.05 mm as described above, if the diameter of the optical fiber is φ1 mm, it will cause a slight coupling loss, but the diameter of the optical fiber is φ0.5 mm. In some cases, it exceeds -0.5 dB, but by using a ferrule, the coupling loss can be suppressed to -0.5 dB or less and can be reduced by about 1 dB.
