Description
The present invention relates to a technology related to a communication service using a transceiver capable of communicating at close distances, and more particularly to a technology for controlling the start of the communication service.
Although wearable computers are attracting attention due to the miniaturization and high performance of portable terminals, FIG. 8 shows an example in which such wearable computers are used while being worn by humans. As shown in the figure, the wearable computer 7 is mounted on a person's arm, shoulder, torso, etc. via a transceiver 9 to transmit / receive data to / from each other, and is provided on the wall or floor so that it can be touched by the tip of a limb. Communication is performed with a personal computer (PC) 8 provided outside through the
Here, the transceiver 9 used for data communication between the wearable computer 7 and between the wearable computer 7 and the PC 8 has, for example, a configuration as shown in FIG. It uses signal detection technology based on electro-optic techniques that use a signal, induces an electric field based on information to be transmitted in a living body that is an electric field transmission medium, and transmits and receives information using the induced electric field. .
More specifically, when the transceiver 9 receives transmission data from the
By the way, regarding the data communication between the wearable computer 7 and the PC 8 via the living body as described above, the communication path is not always established, and the communication path is provided only while the person is touching the
However, when data communication is started at this close distance, the electric field is often weak, and a communication error is likely to occur when a large amount of data is to be transmitted. In the case of biometric communication as described above, since the communication path is often established for a moment, once an error occurs, a large amount of data is stored while the communication path is established. There is a problem that it cannot be sent. In particular, in the case of exchanging important data such as electronic money, a connection-type protocol is often adopted, and after a retransmission interval, a human is already far away from the
Such a problem is assumed not only in the above-described biometric communication but also in a communication service using a transceiver capable of communicating at close distances such as weak wireless.

Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
<First Embodiment>
FIG. 1 is a diagram showing a circuit configuration of a transceiver 1 according to the first embodiment of the present invention. The transceiver 1 shown in the figure includes a communication
In the following description, it is assumed that a predetermined communication service is provided between the
Specifically, the communication
The communication error rate specifically refers to a PING packet (hereinafter referred to as a PING request packet) transmitted by the
Here, when the PING request packet arrives at the partner, the partner sends back a PING response packet as a reply. Therefore, when the communication path is unstable, the error rate S becomes a large value. S becomes 1. On the contrary, when the communication path is stable, the error rate S is a small value, and when all packets pass through to the other party, the error rate S is zero.
When the calculated error rate is smaller than a predetermined threshold, the
Next, the operation of the transceiver 1 according to the present embodiment will be described with reference to FIG. Here, FIG. 2 is a flowchart showing an operation for controlling the start of the communication service.
When the communication path via the electric field transmission medium starts to be established, the
Thereby, since the
Therefore, according to the present embodiment, after establishing a communication path through the electric field transmission medium, the communication error rate is calculated and the communication service is started when it is determined that the communication path is stable. Therefore, large-capacity data can be reliably communicated in an instant.
<Second Embodiment>
FIG. 3 is a diagram showing a circuit configuration of a transceiver 1A according to the second embodiment of the present invention. The transceiver 1A shown in the figure is the function of the communication
Next, the operation of the transceiver 1A according to the present embodiment will be described with reference to FIG. Here, FIG. 4 is a flowchart showing an operation for controlling the start of the communication service.
When the communication path via the electric field transmission medium starts to be established, the control unit 103 of the transceiver 1A receives the connection signal via the
As a result, the control unit 103 receives the PING response packet, and thus calculates a communication error rate (steps S130 and S140). Then, it is determined whether or not the calculated error rate is smaller than a predetermined threshold value. When the calculated error rate is small, a control signal for starting the communication service is output to the
Therefore, according to the present embodiment, the same effects as those of the first embodiment can be obtained.
<Third Embodiment>
FIG. 5 is a diagram showing a circuit configuration of a
Next, the operation of the
When the communication path via the electric field transmission medium starts to be established, the
As a result, the
Finally, when the communication service ends, the
Therefore, according to the present embodiment, the same effects as those of the first embodiment can be obtained. In addition, since the power supply is activated only when the communication service is provided, the power supply of the
