【発明の目的】
この発明は、小型化して携帯容易な形状に変形可能とするハンマーに関するものであって、使用する際には使用目的に最適な大きさに調整することができ、しかも他の工具としても使用可能とし、特に、柄の部分の長さ調節を行うことができる上、ドライバーやソケットレンチ等の他の小型工具類としての使用も可能となるようにした新規な構造からなる携帯用ハンマーを提供しようとするものである。

【従来の技術】
木造住宅の建築工事から日曜大工等といった日常的な作業に至るまでの各種作業に欠かすことのできない代表的な工具の一つとして金槌を挙げることができ、木製の柄部の先端に金槌の鋼製頭部を結合してなる最も一般的な構造のものの外、金槌頭部と金槌柄部とを共に一体的な鋼鉄製の構造とし、鉄製の柄部に合成ゴムや発泡樹脂等からなる滑り止め用のグリップを被着状としたもの、あるいは、金槌頭部を鋼製のものよりも硬度の低い真鍮素材として釘の頭に傷が付かないよう配慮したものや、さらに軟質な木製あるいはプラスチック製のものとした木槌やプラスチックハンマー等、明らかに鋼製の釘以外を対象として使用するようにしたもの等、各種使用目的に応じたハンマーが古くから使い分けられてきている。

これら従前からの一般的なハンマーは、釘を打ち込むときや板金加工を行ったり、釘抜きとして使用するとき等の使用効率や堅牢さに重きを置いた設計がなされており、打ち込む釘の大きさや打ち込みの対象が木製であるか石膏ボードであるか等の材質の違いに応じて槌頭部の大きさや槌柄部の長さを最適な寸法や重さに設定してバランスの良い使用感と作業効率や安全性等とが確保できるように配慮した構造のものに製造されるのが一般的である。

一方、各種工事、作業に際しては、釘打ち手段に加え、ビス止めやボルト締め等の作業箇所も頻繁に発生すること等も考慮して、マイナスドライバーやプラスドライバー、ソケットレンチ等の工具部品を柱状のハンドルに着脱可能とした工具セットとなし、これら工具部品の一つとしてハンマー部品である槌頭部も組み合わされたものとした上、釘打ち作業に際しては、このハンマー部品をハンドルに脱着自在に装着するようにして、ドライバーやレンチの外に、所謂金槌としても利用可能となるようにしたタイプのハンマーも既に一般的なものとして広く採用されてきている。

しかし、前者のように各部の重量や大きさを使用目的に応じてバランス良く設定し、釘の打込み作業性を最適なものとした従前からの各種ハンマーでは、打ち込む釘の大きさや、打ち込みの対象となる素材の硬度等に応じて、ハンマーの大小を選択しなければならず、本格的な釘打ち作業の際には、少なくとも大小の金槌を準備しなければならない上、それらをベルトに吊着した姿で高所作業を行うのは作業者に大変な負担となるばかりでなく、複数の金槌を取り替えながら作業するのは非常に不便であり、また誤って落下させてしまう虞れもある等、不都合な点が多かった。

他方、後者の、グリップに対してハンマーの頭部を含む先端側を装着可能とし、先端側を取り替えることによって各種工具として使用でき、小型軽量化して携帯性を向上させた従前からの工具セットの場合には、ドライバーやレンチ、ハンマー等の多くの工具先端側部品が繁雑になり易く、多数の工具先端側部品を効率的に収容できる専用のケースが不可欠であり、結果として使用する工具に比較して専用ケースが大型化してしまうという欠点を払拭することができないままとなっているという事情が顧みられることもなかった。

この発明は、以上のような状況に疑問を抱き、大小の槌頭部を有する上、携帯に便利な構造のものとして前述した課題の解消をすることができるハンマーを実現することはできないものかとの判断から、逸速くその開発、研究に着手し、長期に渡る試行錯誤と幾多の試作、実験とを繰り返してきた結果、今回、遂に新規な構造からなる携帯用ハンマーを実現化することに成功したものであり、以下では、図面に示すこの発明を代表する幾つかの実施例と共に、その構成を詳述していくこととする。

【発明の構成】
図面に示すこの発明を代表する実施例からも明確に理解されるように、この発明に包含される携帯用ハンマーは、基本的に次のような構成から成り立っている。
即ち、先端側に小槌頭部を設けた棒状体であって、該棒状体中途部の小槌頭部近傍の適所周壁面の一部から刳り貫き状とした上、同棒状体軸心に略直交する軸心周りで周壁面接線方向に回動する施蓋壁で開閉自在に封鎖可能とすることにより、ドライバーやレンチ等の脱着用工具ビットの複数を収容可能にする工具室を形成すると共に、同先端側から末端側にかけての周壁面適所の一ヶ所あるいは適宜間隔を隔てた複数ヶ所に長さ調整用の係合部を形成して小槌柄部となし、さらに、該小槌柄部および/または小槌頭部の適所に脱着用工具ビットを装着使用可能とする工具装着部を形成してなる小槌体に対し、先端側に大槌頭部を有すると共に、前記小槌体小槌柄部とした棒状体よりも大断面の棒状体であって、該棒状体の末端から先端までを穿孔し、その末端側から前記小槌柄部を挿入可能とするようにして小槌柄部収容孔にすると共に、該小槌柄部収容孔内周壁面の適所には、前記小槌体の何れか任意に選択された係合部と係合して小槌柄部の挿入程度を調整可能とする仮固定機構を設けて大槌柄部としてなる大槌体が対をなすものとして形成され、該大槌体大槌柄部の小槌柄部収容孔に前記小槌体小槌柄部略全長を挿入、収容した最小長さで携行可能にするようにした構成を要旨とする携帯用ハンマーである。

この基本的な構成からなる携帯用ハンマーを、より具体的な構成のものとして示すと、先端側に小槌頭部を設けた棒状体であって、該棒状体中途部の小槌頭部近傍の適所周壁面の一部から刳り貫き状とした上、同棒状体軸心に略直交する軸心周りで周壁面接線方向に回動する施蓋壁で開閉自在に封鎖可能とすることにより、ドライバーやレンチ等の脱着用工具ビットの複数を収容可能にする工具室を形成すると共に、同先端側から末端側にかけての周壁面適所の一ヶ所あるいは適宜間隔を隔てた複数ヶ所に長さ調整用の切欠き状係合部を形成して小槌柄部となし、さらに、該小槌柄部および/または小槌頭部の適所に脱着用工具ビットを装着使用可能とする工具装着部を形成してなる小槌体に対し、先端側に大槌頭部を有すると共に、前記小槌体小槌柄部とした棒状体よりも大断面の棒状体であって、該棒状体の末端から先端までを穿孔し、その末端側から前記小槌柄部を挿入可能とするようにして小槌柄部収容孔にすると共に、該小槌柄部収容孔内周壁面の適所には、板バネからなる押圧用弾性部と、該押圧用弾性部によって切欠き状係合部側に向けて自動的に突出、係合すると共に、外部から離脱操作可能とするようにした係合用爪部とからなる仮固定機構を設けて大槌柄部としてなる大槌体が対をなすものとして形成され、該大槌体大槌柄部の小槌柄部収容孔に前記小槌体小槌柄部略全長を挿入、収容した最小長さで携行可能にするよう構成した携帯用ハンマーとなる。

小槌頭部は、後述の大槌頭部と対をなすようにして、同大槌頭部よりも小さな槌頭部を形成し、当該携帯用ハンマーを比較的小さな釘打ち作業に好適に使用可能とする機能を果たすものであり、鉄や真鍮等の各種金属やプラスチック、木材等を用いて充分な強度を有するものに形成しなければならず、小槌柄部先端にT字型に固着されたものとすることができる外、小槌柄部の先端側に対して、小槌柄部および小槌頭部の夫々に直交状となる軸心回りに回動自在に軸着され、小槌柄部に対して略直交状となる姿勢と、略平行状となった姿勢との双方に仮固定可能な折畳み機構を設けてなるものとすることが可能であり、一端面を平面状に、他端面を凸状曲面状に形成したものとすることができる外、他端に釘抜き(太さの異なる釘にも対応できるよう、開き角度を違えた二種類のV字状切込みを並設するようにした釘抜きを含む。)を形成したりすることが可能であり、工具室に収容可能な小型工具類を脱着自在に装着できる工具装着部を形成したものとしなければならない。
