本発明は、円柱状物体を収納する外装箱に関するものであり、特に、CD、CD−R、及びDVD等の円盤状の情報記録媒体を収納する際に複数積層させ、それを包装した円柱状包装体を収納する外装箱に関する技術である。

情報記録媒体は、圧迫や衝撃によって情報記録部を損傷しやすく、収納する際には損傷のおそれのないようにしなければならない。収納方法としては、円盤状の情報記録媒体を複数積層させ、それを円柱状に包装したものを外装箱に収納する方法が一般的である。
物体を収納する外装箱は一般的に、物体と物体との間に仕切板を用いて隙間を無くし、物体の損傷を防止するが、特に、情報記録媒体はデリケートであるため、情報記録媒体を収納する外装箱は、仕切板に関してコスト高及び作業面での負荷がかかってしまうという問題点がある。

しかしながら、上記技術によれば、孔の寸法が正確でなければならず、又、様々な寸法の円柱状物体に対応することが困難である。

上記問題点に鑑み、本発明は、円柱状物体が損傷することなく収納可能であり、仕切板のコスト及び作業負荷を低減した、円柱状物体を収納する外装箱を提供することを課題とし、特に、情報記録媒体を複数積層させ包装した円柱状物体を収納する外装箱を提供することを課題とする。

上記課題を解決するために、本発明は、複数の円柱状物体を収納する外装箱と共に用いられ、前記各円柱状物体の側面の保護を行う矩形の仕切板であって、縦方向に形成された2本の縦谷折り部分と、前記2本の縦谷折り部分に対し両外側に相互に等しい距離離間した位置に、縦方向に形成された2本の縦山折り部分と、を備え、前記2本の縦谷折り部分の間を残すようにして、縦方向において相互に同じ位置に、横方向に形成された2本の第1横切断部分と、前記2本の縦山折り部分の間に横方向に形成された第2横切断部分とが、自身の横方向の各辺から縦方向に等ピッチで交互に設けられ、前記2本の第1横切断部分に対し、縦方向において相反する方向に相互に等しい微小距離位置ずれした位置に、前記2本の縦谷折り部分の間に横方向に2本の横山折り部分が形成され、前記第2横切断部分に対し、縦方向において同じ位置に、前記2本の縦山折り部分の両外側に横方向に形成された2本の横谷折り部分が形成されていることを特徴とする仕切板である。
