本発明が解決しようとするところは上記のような従来の問題点を解決して、シートバックの起立状態および伏倒状態のいずれの態様においてもシートクッションの前部と車体床面との間に隙間ができないようにして安全性を高めるとともに見栄えを良くした自動車用シートを提供することにある。

上記の課題を解決するためになされた本発明の自動車用シートは、前方の足置用低床面と中間のシート床面と後方の荷置用高床面とよりなる段差付きの車体床面の前記した中間のシート床面上にリンク機構を介して前後動しながら昇降動できるシートクッションを設けるとともにその後方に前倒可能なシートバックを設けて、このシートバックを、シートクッションの後部に立設された起立状態と、背面が荷置用高床面に続く荷受面となるように前倒しされて両者により略水平な拡大荷置面を形成する伏倒状態との2態様に切替できるようにした自動車用シートにおいて、前記シートクッションとして、クッション本体の前端に前垂れ部が垂設された前垂れ部付クッション体を用いる一方、前記したリンク機構を、前記した中間のシート床面の前方とシートクッションの前記したクッション本体の底部前方に両端を枢支させた第1リンクと、前記シート床面の範囲内の前記した第1リンクより後方に配置された第2リンクとよりなるものとして、シートバックの起立状態では前記した第1リンクの前方においてシート床面に先端が近接し、シートバックの伏倒状態ではシート床面の前方と足置用低床面とを結ぶ立面の上部を前方から覆って、シートバックの起伏いずれの態様においても前記した前垂れ部によりシートクッションの前部と車体床面との間に手指が入る隙間を無くしたことを特徴とするものである。

【発明の実施の形態】
次に、本発明を格納RRシートと通称されている図示の後部座席を参考にしながら詳細に説明する。

前記したリンク機構2としては、図1および図2に示す第1例のように、シートクッション3の底部前方とシート床面1bの前方に端部を枢支した第1リンク2aと、シートクッション3の底部後方とシート床面1bの後方に端部を枢支する後方の第2リンク2bとよりなるものとして、シート床面1bの後部に立設したブラケット5の先端にリクライニング中心となるヒンジピン6をもって枢着されているシートバック4の起伏動作とは独立したものとして単独にシートクッション3が前後動しながら昇降動できるようにしたものでもよいが、図3および図4に示す第2例では、シートクッション3がシートバック4の起伏動作に連動してリンク機構2を介して前後動しながら昇降動されるようにするため、シートクッション3はその底部から後部にわたってL形部材7を取付けてあるものとする一方、シートバック4はシート床面1bの後部に立設したブラケット5の先端にリクライニング中心となるヒンジピン6をもって枢着しておき、前記したL形部材7の後部の立ち上がり部7aの上端を前記したヒンジピン6に一端を枢着した第2リンク2bの他端に枢着しておくことにより、図3に示すように、シートバック4がシートクッション3の後部に立設された起立状態からシートバック4を前倒しすると、これに連動して図4に示すように、第1リンク2aと第2リンク2bとよりなるリンク機構2を介してシートクッション3も前方に移動しながら沈み込んでシートバック4はその背面が荷置用高床面1cに続く荷受面となって略水平な拡大荷置面を形成することとなり、その反対に図4に示す伏倒状態からシートバック4を引き起こしてゆくと、これに連動してシートクッション3も後退しながら浮き上がるように構成してある。

また、本発明に用いられるシートクッション3としては、シートバック4の起立状態および伏倒状態のいずれの態様においてもシートクッション3の前部と車体床面1との間に隙間ができないようにするための鰭状の前垂れ部3aがクッション本体の前端に垂設された前垂れ部付クッション体を用いており、この点が本発明において最も重要な点である。なお、シートクッション3と車体床面1との間には前部のみならず、側部にも隙間は形成されることとなるが、シートクッション3は前後動はするものの側方への移動はないため、側部の隙間が問題になるときは図示しない樹脂製スカッフなどを設けることにより隠蔽すればよい。

このように構成されたものは、常時はシートバック4がシートクッション3の後部に立設された起立状態として座席に供し、また、後部の荷置面を広くしたいときには、シートバック4の背面が荷置用高床面1cに続く荷受面となる伏倒状態となるように前倒しすることにより略水平な拡大荷置面として使用すればよいことは従来のこの種の自動車用シートと同様であるが、本発明においては、シートクッション3として、このシートクッション3の前部と車体床面1との間にできる隙間を隠蔽するための前垂れ部3aが前端に垂設された前垂れ部付クッション体を用いてあるので、シートバック4の前記した起立状態においては前垂れ部3aの先端がシート床面1bに近接して相互間に手指が入る程度の大きな隙間を生じることがなく、また、シートバック4の前記した伏倒状態においては前垂れ部3aがシート床面1bと前方の足置用低床面1aとを結ぶ傾斜立面の上部を前方から覆って相互間に手指が入る程度の大きな隙間が生じることをなくすこととなって安全性は極めて高いものとなるうえに見栄えのよいものとなる。

よって本発明は従来の問題点を一掃した自動車用シートとして、産業の発展に寄与するところは極めて大である。
