Description
The present invention relates to a pedal support structure such as a brake pedal of a vehicle, and more particularly to a technique related to a so-called crushable pedal.
At the time of a frontal collision of an automobile, the front part of the vehicle body may be crushed while absorbing the collision energy, and the engine arranged in the engine room may move to the rear of the vehicle. In this case, the dash panel that partitions the engine room and the passenger compartment is pressed and deformed rearward of the vehicle, and a pedal such as a brake pedal disposed on the rear side of the dash panel also moves rearward of the vehicle. As a result, the foot space of the driver is reduced, and the steering column or the like easily interferes with the feet of the driver who is stepping on a pad portion such as a brake pedal. Therefore, for example, as described in Patent Document 1, when a dash panel is deformed to the vehicle compartment side, a pedal support structure for an automobile in which a pedal portion such as a brake pedal is moved relative to the vehicle body relative to the vehicle front side. It has been known.
In Patent Document 1, when a pedal bracket that rotatably supports a pedal moves to the vehicle rear side, a mechanism for changing the posture of the pedal bracket while bending the pedal bracket so that the pad portion of the pedal moves to the vehicle front side. Is disclosed. This mechanism provides a vehicle body side sliding member in an instrument panel reinforcement extending in the vehicle width direction in the instrument panel and a bracket side sliding portion in the pedal bracket, and when the pedal bracket moves to the vehicle rear side, The posture of the pedal bracket is changed by sliding the bracket side sliding portion along the guide surface of the vehicle body side sliding member. While the bracket side sliding portion slides, the pedal bracket changes its posture while being bent, and the reaction force when the pedal bracket is bent is received by the instrument panel reinforcement.
Also, the pedal bracket is fixed at two locations, the dash panel and the vehicle body side sliding member, and the fixation between the vehicle body side sliding member and the pedal bracket is released when the pedal bracket moves to the vehicle rear side. The pedal bracket is configured to be allowed to move toward the vehicle rear side.
That is, when the pedal bracket moves to the vehicle rear side due to the collision of the automobile, the bracket side sliding portion of the pedal bracket (hereinafter simply referred to as the pedal bracket) starts to slide on the guide surface of the vehicle body side sliding member, When the sliding is performed by a predetermined distance, the fixing of the pedal bracket and the vehicle body side sliding member is released. As the pedal bracket continues sliding on the guide surface, the posture of the pedal bracket changes so that the pad portion of the pedal moves relative to the front of the vehicle.
Here, in the pedal support structure as in Patent Document 1, when an impact load is input to the guide surface, this acts on the instrument panel reinforcement, but if it acts excessively, the instrument panel reinforcement may break in some cases. However, the instrument panel reinforcement cannot receive the reaction force when the pedal bracket is bent. In this case, the pedal bracket is surely deformed by an aimed amount, and a change in the posture cannot be sufficiently obtained, and a situation in which the relative movement of the pedal pad portion relative to the rear of the vehicle cannot be sufficiently suppressed may occur.
In order to avoid this, it is possible to structurally strengthen the instrument panel reinforcement, but this is not desirable because it increases the size and weight. Moreover, in order to relieve the impact load acting on the instrument panel reinforcement, it is possible to set the inclination of the first half of the guide surface to be relatively gentle. For example, even in Patent Document 1, the guide surface of the vehicle body side sliding member has a relatively gentle slope in the first half portion in order to reduce the collision load against the instrument panel reinforcement and smoothly release the pedal bracket. In the latter half, the inclination is set to be steep so as to obtain a large change in the posture of the pedal bracket.
However, in the pedal support structure of Patent Document 1, since such a function is realized using a single guide surface, the guide surface tends to be long in the front and rear and up and down directions, and the degree of freedom in layout is small.
Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to improve the degree of freedom of the layout of the guide surface that guides the change in the posture of the pedal bracket and to make it compact.
According to the present invention, comprising: a pedal unit having a pedal and a bracket that rotatably supports the pedal; and a guide member having a guide surface on which a contact portion provided in the pedal unit slides, When the bracket moves to the vehicle rear side, the contact portion changes the posture of the pedal unit by sliding on the guide surface, and the pedal pad portion is prevented from moving to the vehicle rear side. in the configuration guide surface has been pedal support structure for a vehicle as, and a pre-Symbol second contact portion provided on the first of the bracket and the abutment portion provided on the pedal as an abutment, wherein A guide member is supported by an instrument panel reinforcement of the vehicle, and a first guide surface on which the first contact portion slides as the guide surface and a second slide on which the second contact portion slides. 2 guide planes The first and second abutment portions and the first and second guide surfaces when the bracket moves to the vehicle rear side, the first abutment against the first guide surface. The second abutting portion is provided so as to abut on the second guide surface after the sliding of the portion starts, and the first abutting portion is located closer to the front side of the vehicle than the second abutting portion, on the front side of the vehicle than the first guide surface is the second guide surface, their respective been placed, and, together with the offset arrangement of the first and second contact portions in the vehicle width direction, wherein By disposing the first and second guide surfaces in the vehicle width direction corresponding to the positions of the first and second contact portions, the first and second contact portions and the A pedal support structure for a vehicle is provided in which the first and second guide surfaces are arranged substantially horizontally.
In this pedal support structure, by providing the first and second abutting portions and the first and second guide surfaces, two sliding portions are formed, and the first guide surface is provided with respect to the first guide surface. The second contact portion comes into contact with the second guide surface after the first contact portion starts to slide. Thus, for example, with respect to the first guide surface, the second guide surface is reduced so as to reduce an impact load from the pedal unit to the instrument panel reinforcement and to cause initial deformation of the bracket. It is possible to assign the function of each sliding part, such as reliably deforming the bracket by an aimed amount and ensuring that the pedal pad part moves to the rear side of the vehicle. Since the first and second guide surfaces can be set separately, the degree of freedom in layout can be improved.
Moreover, on the front side of the first vehicle than the abutting portion and the second contact portion, the front side of the vehicle than the first guide surface is the second guide surface, their respective been placed In addition, the first and second contact portions are arranged to be shifted in the vehicle width direction, and the first and second guide surfaces correspond to the positions of the first and second contact portions. Since the first and second contact portions and the first and second guide surfaces are disposed substantially horizontally by being shifted in the vehicle width direction, the first contact portion is It is possible to avoid a situation that is not originally planned such that the second guide surface or the second contact portion contacts the first guide surface, and the interval in the vehicle front-rear direction of each of these configurations. The layout can be made compact because it can be laid out. Furthermore, since these components are arranged in a substantially horizontal direction, the space in the vertical direction is reduced, so that the overall size can be extremely reduced.
Further, by arranging these components in a substantially horizontal direction, the bracket can take a longer length in the vehicle front-rear direction than in a layout in which these components are arranged in the vertical direction. If the length of the bracket in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle can be increased, the impact load generally acts in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, so that it is easy to apply a bending load to the bracket. Furthermore, it is possible to fix the bracket at two locations spaced in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, and it is possible to more stably support the bracket during normal times.
In addition, among the first and second contact portions, the first contact portion is provided on the pedal and the second contact portion is provided on the bracket, so that the bracket can be made compact. As a result, the entire support structure can be made compact. In other words, the order acts impact load in the abutting portion, where high rigidity is required, by allocating only the front Stories second contact portion to the bracket, also sufficient in one place site to increase the rigidity As compared with the case where both the abutting portions are assigned, the portion where the rigidity should be increased is reduced, so that the bracket can be miniaturized and can be bent with a smaller load. Further, the pedal because they are designed inherently high stiffness does not cause the increase in size of the pedal be assigned before Symbol first contact portion.
In the present invention, the bracket has an end portion on the vehicle rear side and an end portion on the vehicle front side fixed to the dash panel of the vehicle, and the pedal is connected to the bracket via the shaft. An upper end portion supported at an end portion on the vehicle rear side, and a lower end portion that constitutes the pad portion, wherein the first contact portion is formed on a part of the shaft, and The contact portion may be formed on the rear end surface of the end portion of the bracket on the vehicle rear side.
According to this configuration, the first and second contact portions are provided at the end portion of the bracket on the vehicle rear side, so that they are close to each other, and further downsizing can be achieved. Furthermore, since the bracket receives a load from both ends thereof, a bending moment is applied to the bracket more greatly, so that the bending can be easily caused. Furthermore, since the second contact portion is disposed farther from the vehicle front side end portion fixed to the dash panel of the vehicle than the first contact portion, the second contact portion is When the second guide surface is slid, a larger bending moment is applied to the bracket, so that the bracket can be reliably deformed by an aimed amount.
In the present invention, the rear end surface of the end portion of the bracket on the vehicle rear side may form a curved surface that is continuous with the upper end surface of the end portion. According to this configuration, after the rear end surface constituting the second contact portion slides on the second guide surface, the upper end surface of the bracket is also moved to the second guide surface. Can be slid. Therefore, further downsizing can be achieved while increasing the sliding distance with respect to the second guide surface. In addition, since the rear end surface forms a curved surface continuous with the upper end surface, the upper end surface smoothly slides on the second guide surface after the rear end surface slides on the second guide surface. Can be made.
In the present invention, the guide member allows the bracket to move toward the vehicle rear side when a constant load is applied to the bracket toward the vehicle rear side. A fixing portion for fixing the bracket so that the first and second abutting portions and the first and second guide surfaces are separated from each other; and the bracket is fixed to the fixing portion and a dash panel of the vehicle May be.
As described above, according to the present invention, it is possible to improve the degree of freedom of the layout of the guide surface that guides the change in the posture of the pedal bracket and to make it compact.
Preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 is a schematic view of a pedal support structure A according to an embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 2 is a schematic view of a front part of a left-hand drive vehicle to which the pedal support structure A is applied. The dash panel 1 is disposed so as to define an
Hereinafter, the configuration of the pedal support structure A will be described in detail with reference to FIGS. 1 and 3. FIG. 3 is an exploded view (partially broken) of components of the pedal support structure A. FIG. The pedal support structure A includes a
One end of the
The
The
Next, a fixing
Accordingly, the
Next, with reference to FIG. 4B, an operation when the fixing of the
Thereafter, the
Next, returning to FIGS. 1 and 3, the
The
The
The inclination angles of the two
In the present embodiment, the
The advantages of such a structure are as follows. First, when the
Further, by arranging these components in a substantially horizontal direction, the
Next, in the present embodiment, one of the two contact portions is set to the
Next, the
Next, the pedal support structure A having such a configuration will be described with reference to FIG. FIG. 5A shows a normal mode, in which the
Thereafter, as shown in FIG. 5C, the
When the
Thereafter, the posture of the
