Description
Claims (10)
- 内側被覆層(13)と外側被覆層(14)とに接着した連続気泡メタルフォームコア層(12)を含む、サンドイッチ構造を有する複合壁の製造方法であって、
選択された形状の透気性連続気泡フォームのコア基材を形成するステップと、
金属蒸気で連続気泡フォーム基材を含浸し、基材の露出した内側面と外側面とに多孔質の金属層を蒸着して金属蒸着によって連続気泡メタルフォームコア(12)を形成するステップと、
金属およびセラミックからなる群から選択される被覆材料をスプレー塗布することによってメタルフォームコア(12)上に内側層(13)および外側の被覆層(14)を形成するステップと、を含む、サンドイッチ構造を有する、ガスタービンエンジンの燃焼器に用いる複合壁の製造方法。 - 含浸ステップの前に、コア基材を熱的に炭素フォーム構造に変換することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の複合壁の製造方法。
- コア基材は、炭素フォーム構造に熱的に変換可能な連続気泡ポリウレタンラバーフォームから形成されることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の複合壁の製造方法。
- 含浸ステップは基材をニッケル蒸気にさらし、続いて金属蒸着によってアルミニウムでニッケルメタルフォームコアをコーティングすることを含むことを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれかに記載の複合壁の製造方法。
- 含浸ステップはニッケルとアルミニウムとを反応させて、ニッケルアルミナイドメタルフォームコアを形成することをさらに含むことを特徴とする、請求項4に記載の複合壁の製造方法。
- 内側および外側の被覆層(13,14)を形成するステップはスプレー塗布の前にメタルフォームコアの少なくとも1つの選択された領域をマスキングし、これによって透気性メタルフォームコア(12)と連通するガス流ポート(15,16)を形成することを含むことを特徴とする、請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載の複合壁の製造方法。
- 複数のポート(15,16)が内側および外側層(13,14)に配され、外側層(14)から外側ポート(15)を通るとともに、内側層と外側層(13,14)との間のメタルフォームを通り、続いて内側層(13)を通って排出されるように冷却ガス流れが導かれることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の複合壁の製造方法。
- コア基材は含浸ステップの前に機械加工されることを特徴とする請求項1から7のいずれかに記載の複合壁の製造方法。
- メタルフォームコア(12)は内側および外側の被覆層(13,14)の塗布前に機械加工されることを特徴とする請求項1から8のいずれかに記載の複合壁の製造方法。
- 内側および外側の被覆層(13,14)は厚みが0.020インチ(0.5mm)より薄いことを特徴とする請求項1から9のいずれかに記載の複合壁の製造方法。
