Description
【0001】
y=d−(0.16L4−0.67L3+0.84L2−0.03L)…(A-1)
y=d−0.1254L2…(A-2)

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a rolling mill for producing metal plates and strip products such as steel, aluminum and copper.
[0002]
[Related background]
Thickness accuracy is one of the important factors that determine the quality of metal plate products such as steel, aluminum, and copper. And with the advancement of quality requirements in recent years, this thickness accuracy has been required not only in the longitudinal direction of the rolled plate material but also in the width direction. That is, it has become necessary to reduce not only the thickness variation in the longitudinal direction of the plate material but also the thickness variation in the width direction.
[0003]
Such a plate thickness distribution in the width direction of the plate material is generally called a plate crown, and the maximum value of the plate thickness variation is called a plate crown amount. And the amount of sheet | seat crown of the stage finally used as the product is substantially determined by the sheet | seat crown in a hot rolling process. Thus, since the sheet crown in the hot rolling process has a close relationship with the amount of the sheet crown of the final product, various control methods and apparatuses for controlling the sheet crown in the hot rolling process have been developed. Has been introduced.
[0004]
Examples of such control methods include: (1) Initial crown method (2) Work roll bender method (3) Cross roll method (4) Backup roll method with sleeve (5) Shift roll method (6) Heat crown method Etc.
(1) The initial crown system is a system in which an appropriate roll crown is given in consideration of roll deflection during polishing of the work roll, and the plate crown is controlled using this work roll.
[0005]
(2) The work roll bender method is a method of controlling the plate crown by pressing the work roll bearing box with a hydraulic jack and changing the deflection of the roll.
(3) The cross roll method is a method in which the plate crown is controlled by geometrically changing the roll gap with a variable cross angle between the upper and lower work rolls.
(4) The backup roll system with sleeve is a system in which the surface shape of the backup roll with sleeve is deformed by oil pressure or the like to control the plate crown.
[0006]
(5) With the shift roll method, the upper and lower work rolls are given a special asymmetric crown or one taper, which is shifted in the opposite direction to change the roll gap geometrically, thereby controlling the plate crown. It is a method to do.
(6) With the heat crown method, cooling spray is sprayed onto the work roll while applying a strong and weak pattern in the width direction of the roll, and the work roll is cooled unevenly in the width direction. For example, the distribution is controlled, and thereby the crown is controlled.
[0007]
A plate crown control method using this method is disclosed in, for example, Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 5-185107. In this gazette, initial crowns having irregularities of substantially the same shape on the upper and lower work rolls are formed so as to be point-symmetric with each other. More specifically, the initial crown is symmetrical with respect to the roll center and the left and right roll ends, intersects with a straight line parallel to the roll axis and passing through the origin, and forms a flat area with the same width on the left and right ends of the roll. A configuration is disclosed in which roll end surfaces have concentric diameters on the left and right sides, a straight line passing through the origin coincides with a horizontal level in the flat region, and are movably provided in the axial direction and combined with a reinforcing roll.
[0008]
On the other hand, in JP-A-63-20106, external rolls are provided above and below a work roll pair, and any one of these roll pairs is formed by curving the roll contour over the entire length of the barrel. In the roll of a rolling mill, the roll contour of the roll pair is a cubic expression in the roll axis direction and has a portion having a maximum value and a minimum value, and one of the roll pair and the other roll contour are translated in the barrel longitudinal direction. And a structure in which the pair of rolls is configured to be axially movable with respect to the axially fixed roll.
[0009]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
The plate crown control method described above has exhibited its performance without any particular problems when the ratio of the plate width of the rolled material to the roll surface length is sufficiently large in controlling the plate crown.
However, in order to improve the productivity of the rolled material and reduce the equipment cost of the rolling mill, it is necessary to produce rolled material having various sheet widths with a large rolling mill. When trying to produce a narrow rolled material with a large rolling mill, there is a characteristic that the ratio of the plate width of the rolled material to the roll surface length is reduced, and the effective control amount is extremely reduced. As a result, the plate crown may not be properly controlled.
[0010]
On the other hand, even if the plate width of the rolled material is narrow, if the plate crown can be controlled effectively, the overall control capability must be increased, resulting in over-specification and structural difficulties. Further, when rolling a wide rolled material, there is a problem that the plate crown control becomes unstable.
In order to avoid the inconvenience described above, it is necessary to replace the roll for each width of the plate material passing between the work rolls, or to install a plurality of mechanisms and change the roll position for every change in the plate width. However, such a measure is not preferable because it causes an increase in the equipment cost of the rolling mill and a reduction in the productivity of the rolled material.
[0011]
An object of the present invention is to effectively use a plate crown in a hot rolling process, which is a manufacturing process of a metal plate product such as steel, aluminum, and copper, particularly when a narrow plate material is rolled using a wide rolling mill. An object of the present invention is to provide a rolling mill that is controlled.
[0012]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above-mentioned object, a rolling mill according to the present invention is a rolling mill that includes an upper and lower work roll and a backup roll, and controls rolling of the rolled material to an appropriate plate crown, and includes an upper and lower work roll and an upper and lower backup roll. The shape of the initial crown is swelled from both ends of the roll barrel toward the roll barrel center, and is recessed by a predetermined amount between the roll barrel center and both ends of the roll barrel, forming a smooth curve. It is characterized by being.
[0013]
Like the roller of a conventional rolling mill, the initial crown is not defined by a simple quadratic function curve, and the shape obtained by combining the initial crowns of the upper and lower work rolls and the backup roll is the roll barrel center and both ends of the roll barrel. Therefore, the rolled material having various plate widths can be rolled so as to have an appropriate plate crown.
[0014]
Preferably, in the rolling mill according to the present invention, in the above-described rolling mill, the shape obtained by combining the initial crowns of the upper and lower work rolls and the upper and lower backup rolls is a polynomial or trigonometric function that is symmetrical about the roll barrel center. The shape is further approximated by combining the equations, and the shape of the plate crown control correction curve obtained by taking the difference between the roll center position of the shape and a quadratic curve circumscribing at three points near the left and right barrel ends is The absolute value is not less than 3 percent of the crown amount of the quadratic curve, preferably not less than 3 percent and not more than 35 percent of the crown amount of the quadratic curve, and the minimum value is between the center and the left and right ends of the barrel. It is characterized by having a depression existing in 35 to 85 percent from the center to the left and right end positions of the barrel.
[0015]
Since the shape obtained by combining the upper and lower work rolls and the backup roll is corrected by the curve for correcting the sheet crown control, the rolled material can be rolled so as to have an appropriate sheet crown. In particular, when a narrow rolling material is rolled by a large rolling mill, when the ratio of the plate width of the rolling material to the roll surface length is small, rolling can be performed without reducing the effective control amount.
[0016]
More preferably, the rolling mill of the present invention is characterized in that, in the rolling mill described above, the upper and lower work rolls have initial crowns having different shapes. Alternatively, the rolling mill of the present invention is characterized in that, in the above-described rolling mill, the work roll and the backup roll have initial crowns having different shapes.
[0017]
An initial crown having a simple shape is formed for each roll, and a rolled material having various plate widths can be rolled so as to maintain an appropriate plate crown by using the synthesized initial crown. Therefore, it becomes easy to polish the work roll and the backup roll.
[0018]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, a rolling mill according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
As schematically shown in FIG. 1, a rolling
[0019]
The upper and lower work rolls 11a and 11b have a middle and high barrel shape having an initial crown. This initial crown has a shape shown in FIG. 2 (x), and this shape is expressed by the following polynomial, for example, when the longitudinal center (barrel center) of the work roll is the coordinate center.
y = d- (0.16L 4 -0.67L 3 + 0.84L 2 -0.03L) ... (A-1)
However, y: Roll shape (mm)
d: Roll radius at barrel center (mm)
L: Distance from barrel center (m)
[0020]
As shown in FIG. 1, initial crowns are not formed on the upper and lower backup rolls 12a and 12b. That is, the upper and lower backup rolls 12a and 12b have a true cylindrical barrel shape. In the case of the present embodiment, as described above, the initial crown of the upper and lower work rolls 11a and 11b is a quartic function of the distance L from the barrel center, and no initial crown is formed on the upper and lower backup rolls 12a and 12b. The shape obtained by synthesizing the initial crowns of the upper and lower work rolls 11a and 11b and the backup rolls 12a and 12b is a shape approximated by a polynomial (quadratic function expression) that is symmetric about the roll barrel center, that is, an expression (A-1 ).
[0021]
The composite shape of the initial crown is a shape obtained by adding a work roll crown per upper and lower diameter and a backup roll crown per upper and lower radius and dividing the crown amount by two. In addition, the plate in the case of rolling with a rolling mill with the initial crown composite shape applied only to the work roll, and the plate rolled with a rolling mill with the initial crown before synthesis added to the work roll and the backup roll, respectively, are substantially equivalent. It has already been confirmed that it has a shape.
[0022]
Further, as shown in FIG. 2 (y) and FIG. 2 (z), a quartic function equation (A-1) representing the initial crowns of the upper and lower work rolls 11a and 11b, the roll barrel center position, and the vicinity of the left and right barrel ends. The quadratic curve equation circumscribing at three points is represented by the following equation (A-2).
y = d-0.1254L 2 (A-2)
Formula (A-3) obtained by subtracting formula (A-2) from formula (A-1) is a plate crown control correction curve. That is,
f (L) =-0.16L 4 + 0.67L 3 -0.7146L 2 + 0.03L ... (A-3)
The minimum value b of the depression of the formula (A-3) shown in FIG. 2 (u) is included in the range of 3% to 35% of the crown amount a of the formula (A-2) representing the quadratic curve. . If the minimum value b of the dent is less than 3% of the crown amount a, the correction becomes insufficient, and the effect of improving the plate crown shape cannot be obtained. If the minimum value b of the dent exceeds 35% of the crown amount a, It will be overcorrected, causing inconvenience in the plate crown shape. Further, the distance c from the barrel center of the minimum value b of the depression of the formula (A-3) is 35% to 85% of the distance from the barrel center to the left and right end positions of the barrel. If the position of the minimum point c of the depression is less than the range of 35% to 85%, the effect of improving the plate crown of the plate having a wide plate width is not sufficient, and the position of the minimum point c of the depression is in the range of 35% to 85%. If it exceeds 1, the plate crown improvement effect of the plate material having a narrow plate width is not sufficient.
[0023]
Note that the maximum bulge amount of the shape obtained by combining the initial crowns of the upper and lower work rolls and the upper and lower backup rolls is 900 μm or less , and the dent amount between the roll barrel center and both ends of the roll barrel is 3% of the maximum bulge amount. If it is limited in the range of 35% to 35%, it is possible to obtain the above-mentioned desired composite initial crown shape over a wide range without being particularly limited in the size of the rolling mill, mainly used load region, product configuration, etc. It becomes.
[0024]
【Example】
While the aluminum material is hot rough-rolled using a four-high rolling mill in which the initial crown is formed only on the upper and lower work rolls as in the above-described embodiment, the initial crown represented by the conventional quadratic curve is changed to the upper and lower work rolls. The aluminum material was hot rough-rolled using a four-high rolling mill formed only on the two, and the amount of plate crown of both products (rolled material) was compared.
[0025]
The specifications of the rolling mill are a work roll having a diameter of 960 (mm) x a total length of 4320 (mm), and a backup roll having a diameter of 1500 (mm) x a total length of 4250 (mm). The initial crown of the backup roll (1) (the backup roll according to this embodiment) is obtained by substituting d = 480 (mm) into the formula (A-1), and the backup roll (2) (conventional example) The initial roll of the backup roll) is an initial crown represented by a quadratic curve, and the amount of crown per radius is +350 μm, and the initial of the backup roll (3) (backup roll according to the conventional example) The crown is an initial crown represented by a quadratic curve, and the crown amount per radius is +650 μm.
[0026]
Rolling two kinds of aluminum materials with material size: 20mm thick x 1250mm wide and 20mm thick x 4000mm wide with this work roll, the following crown amount is obtained: It was.
[0027]
[Table 1]
[0028]
As shown in Table 1, when a material with a plate width of 1250 (mm) is rolled with the conventional roll (2), the amount of plate crown is too large, and with the conventional roll (3), a material with a plate width of 4000 (mm) Is rolled, the plate crown amount is too small. However, when rolled with the roll (1) according to this embodiment, both the plate material with a plate width of 1250 (mm) and the plate material with a plate width of 4000 (mm) can obtain an appropriate plate crown amount, and a wide range of plates. It was found that a material having a width can be rolled with high accuracy.
[0029]
Unlike the above-described embodiment, the initial crown is not limited to a quartic expression of the distance L (m) from the roll barrel center, and a polynomial and a trigonometric function that are symmetrical about the roll barrel center are synthesized. It may have a shape.
Further, the initial crown is not necessarily formed only on the upper and lower work rolls. For example, when the shape obtained by synthesizing the initial crowns of the upper and lower work rolls and the backup roll has a shape obtained by synthesizing a quadratic curve and a trigonometric function, the initial crown represented by the quadratic curve as shown in FIG. It may be formed on 22a and 22b, and an initial crown represented by a trigonometric function may be formed on the work rolls 21a and 21b.
[0030]
Furthermore, as described above, when the shape obtained by synthesizing the initial crowns of the upper and lower work rolls and the backup roll has a shape obtained by synthesizing a quadratic curve shape and a trigonometric function, it is represented by a trigonometric function as shown in FIG. A similar plate crown control effect can be expected by forming the initial crown on the
[0031]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, the rolling mill according to the present invention is a rolling mill that includes upper and lower work rolls and upper and lower backup rolls, and controls the rolling of the rolled material into an appropriate plate crown, and the initials of the upper and lower work rolls and the upper and lower backup rolls. The combined crown shape bulges from both ends of the roll barrel toward the roll barrel center, and is recessed from the roll barrel center and both ends of the roll barrel by a predetermined amount, and is formed from a smooth curve. It is characterized by being.
[0032]
Like conventional rolling mill rollers, the initial crown is not defined by a simple quadratic function curve. The shape of the initial crown of the upper and lower work rolls and the upper and lower backup rolls is combined with both ends of the roll barrel center and the roll barrel. Therefore, the rolled material having various plate widths can be rolled so as to have an appropriate plate crown. Therefore, it is not necessary to replace the rolling roll according to the sheet width of the rolled material as in the conventional case, and productivity can be improved.
[0033]
The rolling mill according to any one of
[0034]
Since the shape obtained by combining the upper and lower work rolls and the backup roll is corrected by the curve for correcting the sheet crown control, the rolled material can be rolled so as to have an appropriate sheet crown. In particular, when a rolling material having a narrow width is rolled by a large rolling mill, when the ratio of the plate width of the rolled material to the roll surface length is small, rolling can be performed without reducing the effective control amount.
[0035]
Therefore, in existing rolling equipment, without having to perform setup work such as roll replacement that reduces equipment investment and productivity, it is possible to accurately handle a material with a wide width from a wide width to a narrow width, that is, an appropriate plate crown amount. It becomes possible to roll to.
Furthermore, the rolling mill according to claim 5 of the present invention is characterized in that the upper and lower work rolls have initial crowns of different shapes.
[0036]
Furthermore, the rolling mill according to claim 6 of the present invention is characterized in that the work roll and the backup roll have initial crowns of different shapes.
An initial crown having a simple shape is formed for each roll, and a rolled material having various plate widths can be rolled so as to maintain an appropriate plate crown by using the synthesized initial crown. Therefore, it becomes easy to polish the work roll and the backup roll.
