近年、プラスチックフィルムから成る菌床用培養袋を用いたきのこの人工栽培方法が多く行なわれている。図5は従来使用されている培養袋10の形態を示す概略図であり、図6は図5の培養袋10に培地17を充填した状態の概略図である。図7、図8は、従来の培養袋の底部を示す概略図である。
菌床用培養袋10は、図5に示されるようにプラスチックフィルムから成るチューブの両側端にガセット折り込み11、11が形成され、チューブの幅方向Hに熱融着して成る底シール部12(図7参照)が設けられている。底シール部12の反対側の端部は、開口部16となり、培養袋上部には通気孔13が設けられ、その通気孔13はフィルター14で被覆されている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
培養袋は使い捨てされるので、安価であることが必要であり、出来るだけ簡単な構成で製造されることが望ましい。しかし、簡単な構成から成るため、培養袋に数kgもの培地が充填されると、底シール部12で裂けたり破れたり、ピンホールを生じたりすることがあった。
そこで、図8のように補助底シール部19を、底シール部12の底側に、底シール部12に対して略平行に熱融着して形成し、より密封性を高める工夫をしているが、それでも底シール部12に破れやピンホールを生じることがあった。底シール部12にピンホールや破れが生じるとそこからアオカビ等の雑菌が進入し、菌床で繁殖する。そして一旦雑菌が繁殖すると、その菌床には商品価値が無くなってしまう。

そこで、本発明はこれらの課題を解決すべくなされたものであり、その目的とするところは、培養袋の底シール部においてピンホールや破れを生じることが無く、丈夫な菌床用培養袋を安価に提供することにある。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明者は、培養袋の破れやピンホールの生じやすい部分を調査したところ、図7に示されるように底シール部12の、4枚のプラスチックフィルムが重なり合う部分と2枚のプラスチックフィルムが重なり合う部分の境界部分25、25で破れが生じやすいことがわかった。その部分は培地を充填した際に応力が集中しやすい部分である。
そこで、本発明者は、底シール部12におけるこの境界部分25、25を補強するよう、ポイント的に熱融着を施して補強部15、15を形成し、応力を分散させることに着目した。これによって、底シール部12に破れやピンホールが生じない丈夫な培養袋を安価に提供できる。

以下、本発明の好適な実施の形態を添付図面と共に詳細に説明する。
培養袋の材料としては、安価であり高圧蒸気による殺菌にも耐え得るポリプロピレン、高密度ポリエチレン等のポリオレフィン系材料が好ましい。このような樹脂材料からインフレーションフィルム成形法によって、プラスチックフィルムのチューブを成形する。さらにガセット製袋機によってチューブの両側端を折り込んでガセット折り込み11、11を形成し、チューブの幅方向にわたって直線状に熱融着を施して、底シール部12を形成する。

実施例1、2、比較例1及び2のいずれの培養袋も、2.5kgの培地が充填可能な同一の、ガセット折り込みを有した袋から成り、補強部の有無、或いは補強部の配設位置のみで異なる。
袋は、具体的には厚さ20μmの高密度ポリエチレンのフィルムから成り、図5に示されるように培養袋を畳んだ際のサイズが、縦Lは45cm、横Mは20cm、ガセット折り込みの幅Gは15cm、直線状に略平行に設けた底シール部12と補助底シール部19の幅はそれぞれ1mmであり、これらの間隔は5mmである。
