BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a curling iron. More specifically, it is used by practitioners such as hairdressers at beauty salons to perform retouching and nuance processing, such as performing a straight perm treatment on the customer's hair and then lightly curling the tip of the hair. About curling irons.

[0006]
An object of the present invention is to provide a curl iron that improves the usability of the conventional curl iron and can be rotated so that the rotation axis does not shake. Furthermore, this invention makes it a technical subject to provide the curl iron which can support a front end side firmly, when it does not have a water tank.
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
A curling iron of the present invention (Claim 1) includes a main body, a cylindrical roll extending from one end of the main body and containing a heater therein, a press plate having an arcuate cross section for sandwiching hair in the roll, A holder provided rotatably around the main body, and a cap made of a material having a plurality of ribs on the surface and having low thermal conductivity, which is fixed to the tip of the roll. Such a curling iron is preferably provided with a rotary knob that can be rotated by picking it with a fingertip of a hand holding the holder at a site adjacent to the holder of the main body (Claim 2).
[0008]
The cap has a base portion fixed to the roll, a cylindrical portion extending from the base portion toward the distal end side, and a plurality of annular shapes that are arranged at intervals around the cylindrical portion and have a diameter that gradually decreases toward the distal end. What consists of a rib is preferable (Claim 3). Further, among the annular ribs, it is preferable that a step larger than the step between the other annular ribs is provided between the first annular rib closest to the base and the other annular rib. Further, among the annular ribs, it is preferable that the outer peripheral surfaces of the plurality of annular ribs excluding the first annular rib have a conical surface as a whole (Claim 5). Further, it is preferable that the main body includes a cylindrical portion, and the holder is a thin-walled cylindrical member that is rotatably provided on an outer periphery of the cylindrical portion.
[0009]
[Operation and effect of the invention]
In the curling iron of the present invention (Claim 1), since the holder is rotatably provided around the main body, the main body can be firmly held through the holder, and the main body can be rotated inside the palm. Can do. Therefore, the roll fixed to the main body can be rotated. Therefore, it is possible to rotate the roll so that the rotation axis is not shaken while stably holding the curling iron. Moreover, since the main body and the holder are separate bodies, heat is not transmitted from the main body to the holder. Furthermore, the cap fixed to the tip of the roll protects the inside of the roll and can be used as a knob. That is, since there are ribs around the cap, the heat dissipation action is high. Moreover, since the contact area between the finger and the cap is small and the thermal conductivity is low, heat is not easily transmitted from the cap to the finger. Therefore, the cap can be firmly picked with the fingertip of the hand opposite to the hand holding the holder, and the roll can be rotated at an accurate angle without feeling heat by rotating the cap.
[0010]
In a curl iron (Claim 2) in which a rotary knob that can be picked and rotated by a fingertip of a hand holding the holder is provided at a portion adjacent to the holder of the main body. The main body and the roll can be rotated with the fingertips of the hands while stabilizing. At that time, a holder is interposed between the main body and the palm, and the rotary knob is simply picked with a finger, so that heat is not transmitted to the palm or the finger.
[0011]
The cap has a base portion fixed to the roll, a cylindrical portion extending from the base portion toward the distal end side, and a plurality of annular shapes arranged in a spaced manner around the cylindrical portion and having a diameter decreasing toward the distal end. In a curling iron (claim 3) comprising ribs, some of the meat inside the fingers bites into the annular rib. Therefore, it is difficult to slide in the axial direction. Moreover, the plurality of annular ribs are easy to pick because the tip side has a small diameter. And, coupled with the low heat dissipation and thermal conductivity of the ribs, the cap can be gripped more firmly.
[0012]
In the curl iron (Claim 4), a step larger than the step between the other annular ribs is provided between the first annular rib closest to the base and the other annular ribs among the annular ribs. The finger can be picked with the tip of the finger pressed against the first annular rib. Therefore, the tip side of the curling iron can be more securely held without feeling heat. Further, when the finger is picked without being pressed against the first annular rib, even if the finger slides to the proximal end side, it stops at the first annular rib, so that force can be applied toward the roll side with confidence. Further, among the annular ribs, when the outer peripheral surface of the plurality of annular ribs excluding the first rib presents a conical surface as a whole (Claim 5), the step when the outer peripheral surface of the annular rib is picked. There is little feeling and it is easier to pick.
