本発明は、ガスの使用量を積算表示するガスメーターに関するものである。

従来この種のガスメーター8は、図5に示すような構成になっている。すなわち、設置工事時には、ガスメーター8の入口口金1とガスを送り込む供給用ガス管5及び出口口金2とガス機器に送る配給用ガス管6をユニオンナット7で接続する。ここで配給用ガス管6の経路にガス漏れがあった場合、フルイディック式、超音波式では瞬時的に検知が可能であり、漏洩検知機能によりガスを遮断することができる。また膜式ガスメーターでは3L/h程度の微小流量の検知に30分以上かかるものの漏洩検知機能が働き同様にガスを遮断することができる。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、従来の入口口金とガスを送り込む供給用ガス管及び出口口金とガス機器に送る配給用ガス管をユニオンナットで接続するガスメーターでは、いたずらによってユニオンナットが緩められたり、また外部から強い衝撃を受けて配管接続部がずれたり変形したりしてガス漏れするという課題を有していた。このためガスメーター、供給用ガス管、配管用ガス管を金属製のボックスで囲ったり、あるいはパイプシャフトの中に入れたりする等の対策が採られている。しかしこの場合には工事性が悪くなたったり、工事費がかさんだり、又メーターの視認性が悪くなるという課題を有していた。

また、感震器を内臓するガスメーターは、強い衝撃を受けると感震器が検知し遮断弁を閉止するため配給用ガス管にはガスが流れないが、入口口金と供給用ガス管の接続部が外れた場合はガスメーターでは遮断することは出来ず、また、圧力センサを内蔵するものにあっては、例えば入口口金と供給用ガス管の接続部が外れ供給圧が100Pa以下になった時に異常を検出するものがあるが、異常を検出しても報知または表示することはできるが遮断することは出来ないという課題を有していた。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明は上記課題を解決するために、供給用ガス管及び配給用ガス管の外径より大きくユニオンナットの外径より小さい貫通穴を有して上下自在に移動可能な構成とし、ユニオンナット及びガスメータを覆うように一体化構成としたカバーを設け、該カバーはガスメーター外郭に固定する固定手段を備えたものである。上記発明によれば、いたずらによってユニオンナットが緩められることを防止できる。また外部から強い衝撃を受けても配管接続部周辺を保護でき接続部がずれたり変形したりしてガス漏れするのを防止できる。専用工具以外では周り止め部材の取り外しが困難であり周り止め部材が外せないとカバーを外すことができないため、工事業者以外の者がいたずらによってユニオンナットを緩めることはできない。従って、ガス漏れに対する安全性を確保することができる。

【発明の実施の形態】
本発明の請求項1記載の発明は、入口口金とガスを送り込む供給用ガス管および出口口金とガス機器に送る配給用ガス管とをユニオンナットで接続するガスメーターにおいて、
入口口金及び出口口金に対向した位置に、供給用ガス管及び配給用ガス管の外径より大きくユニオンナットの外径より小さい貫通穴を有して上下自在に移動可能な構成とし、ユニオンナット及びガスメーターの外郭を覆うように一体化構成としたカバーを設け、該カバーはガスメーター外郭に固定する固定手段を備えているため、いたずらによってユニオンナットが緩められることを防止できる。また外部から強い衝撃を受けてカバーに大きな外力が加わっても、貫通穴周辺はバーリング加工を施しているため広い面積で分散できるため配管表面には応力が集中することがなく配管の変形を防止でき、配管接続部周辺を保護でき接続部がずれたり変形したりしてガス漏れするのを防止できる。カバーを外さないとユニオンナットが露出しないため、容易にユニオンナットを緩めることはできない。従って、ガス漏れに対する安全性を確保することができる。
