そこで、この出願の発明は、以上のとおりの従来の問題点を解消し、目地溝部を有する多色塗装品についてその生産性を向上させることができ、しかも多色塗装の色の対比の鮮明さによる外観性の向上を図ることも可能な、新しい多色塗装品とその塗装方法を提供することを課題としている。

【課題を解決するための手段】
この出願の発明は、上記の課題を解決するものとして、第1には、基材表面に間隔を隔てて設けられた目地溝部を有する基材に目地溝部の左右で異なる色の塗装を施した多色塗装品であって、前記目地溝部がV字状であって、目地溝部内に色目の境界が設けられ、溝内壁面の各々の色は各々連続する基材表面の色と同一とされている多色塗装品を提供する。

この出願の発明は上記のとおりの特徴をもつものであるが、以下にその実施の形態について説明する。

たとえばこの図1に例示したように、この発明の多色塗装品においては、目地溝部(D)を有する基材(P)に、目地溝部(D)の左右で異なる色(A)(B)の塗装が施されており、しかも、目地溝部(D)内には色目の境界(L)が設けられている。より具体例に沿って説明すると、この図1の場合には、目地溝部(D)がV字状であって、溝内壁面(WA)(WB)の各々は、この各々が連続する基材(P)表面の色(A)(B)と同一とされている。つまり、図1では、左側の溝内壁面(WA)の色(A)は、左側の基材表面の色(A)と同じであり、一方、右側の溝内壁面(WB)の色(B)は、右側の基材表面の色(B)と同じである。

この発明の多色塗装品の塗装方法では、図1に例示したように、塗装ガン(G)によるスプレー塗装として、スプレー端(S)が目地溝部(D)内の色目の境界(L)に一致するように塗装することを特徴としている。
この方法においては、図1に例示したように、同一色(A)とされる基材表面とこれに連続する目地溝部内壁面(WA)に対し、目地溝部(D)の横方向からスプレー塗装することが考慮される。
