BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a liquid metal cooled fast reactor. More specifically, the present invention relates to a liquid metal cooling furnace capable of increasing the furnace output and enabling quick fuel change.
[0002]
[Prior art]
As a conventional fast reactor, there is a type in which a large number of rod-shaped fuel assemblies are loaded. However, in this fast reactor, it is not possible to quickly change the fuel because it takes a long time to remove decay heat, and a fuel handling mechanism for changing the fuel, that is, a rotary plug, a fuel exchanger, and The size of the fuel entry / exit machine has been increased. On the other hand, when replacing spent fuel, a pot is first inserted into the reactor vessel, the rod-shaped fuel assembly to be replaced is transferred to the pot, and the rod-shaped fuel assembly together with the pot is immersed in the coolant. Although there was a type of fast reactor that was pulled out of the vessel, there were many fuel assemblies to be replaced, and there was no change in the effort to change the fuel. Therefore, as an improved liquid metal cooled fast reactor, that is, as a liquid metal cooled fast reactor that achieves a high level of simplification of the fuel handling mechanism and rapid fuel change operation, Japanese Patent Publication No. 7-13661 discloses. The disclosed small liquid metal cooled fast reactor is known. In this small liquid metal cooled fast reactor, an integral fuel assembly is inserted into a pot, and the integral fuel assembly is loaded together with the pot in a single core. When the spent fuel is exchanged, the integrated fuel assembly is pulled out of the reactor vessel while being immersed in the coolant in the pot, and is stored in a sodium cask with a cooling function.
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the conventional small liquid metal cooled fast reactor, the integral fuel assembly is pulled out from the core together with the pot, and the fuel is exchanged. Therefore, the integral fuel assembly and the pot cannot be enlarged and applied. There is a problem that the reactors that can be produced are limited to small-sized reactors that generate about tens of thousands of kilowatts when power is generated. For this reason, it has been difficult to increase the output scale of the reactor while simplifying the fuel handling mechanism and speeding up the fuel exchange operation.
[0004]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
A first object of the present invention is to provide a liquid metal cooled fast reactor capable of increasing the reactor power by effectively using the generated fast neutrons. A second object of the present invention is to provide a liquid metal cooled fast reactor capable of simplifying the fuel handling structure and shortening the time required for fuel replacement while increasing the power output of the nuclear reactor.
[0005]
The invention of claim 1, wherein in order to achieve the above object, in the reactor vessel (excluding those for accommodating the heat exchanger), a plurality of adjacent ones is to contribute to the fission reaction leakage neutrons another core A liquid metal cooled fast reactor is provided. Therefore, in this liquid metal cooled fast reactor, the neutron economy is improved, and the output of the entire reactor is improved and the breeding ratio is improved as compared with the total output when each fuel is loaded in a separate reactor.
[0006]
The invention according to
[0007]
Therefore, the coolant is supplied into each pot container to which the cooling system pipe is connected. An integrated fuel assembly is loaded in each pot container while being inserted into the pot, and the coolant circulates while cooling the integrated fuel assembly for each pot. When the fuel is changed, the integral fuel assembly is taken out of the furnace together with the pot by lifting the pot from the pot container. At this time, since the coolant is accumulated in the pot, the spent fuel is taken out while being immersed in the coolant. The fuel change is performed for each pot. In addition, the amount of fuel to be loaded increases as the number of installed pots increases, and the output of the fast reactor increases.

【The invention's effect】
As described above, in the liquid metal cooled fast reactor according to claim 1 , adjacent ones in the reactor vessel (excluding those containing the heat exchanger) contribute to each other 's leaking neutrons in the fission reaction. Since a plurality of cores are provided, the neutron economy can be improved, the reactor power can be improved, and the breeding ratio can be improved.

[0039]
In addition, when the fuel is exchanged, the integral fuel assembly is taken out from the reactor vessel together with the pot while being immersed in the coolant in the pot. The fuel change can be started at the stage of removal. For this reason, the fuel exchange operation can be started early, the decay heat decay waiting time can be greatly shortened, and the operating rate of the nuclear power plant can be improved. Further, since the fuel replacement work becomes simple, the time required for the replacement work itself can be shortened, and the operating rate of the nuclear power plant can be further improved.
[0040]
Furthermore, by using an integral fuel assembly, it is possible to perform fuel replacement using a crane device installed in the furnace. For this reason, the fuel changer required in the conventional fast reactor becomes unnecessary, the construction cost of the fast reactor can be suppressed, and the power generation cost can be reduced.
