Description
【0001】
【0010】
上記「情報通信端末」としては、PDC(Personal Digital Cellular)方式、GSM(Global System for Mobile Communication)方式、TIA(Telecommunications Industry Association)方式等の携帯電話機、IMT(International Mobile Telecommunications)−2000で標準化された携帯電話機、PHS(Personal Handyphone Service)、自動車電話機、固定電話機等の電話機のうち、アプリケーションプログラム実行可能なものが挙げられる。
【0040】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an information communication terminal capable of executing an application program and capable of notifying a user of arrival of information or arrival of a predetermined time by vibration and a control method thereof.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, as this type of information communication terminal, a mobile phone capable of executing an application program written in an object-oriented programming language independent of a platform is known. For example, JAVA (registered trademark of Sun Microsystems, Inc., the same applies hereinafter) is known which has a virtual machine function and is capable of executing application programs described in JAVA. In such a mobile phone, by executing an application program, a standby screen composed of a three-dimensional video is displayed on the display of the mobile phone, a game or fortune-telling is performed on the mobile phone, and music is played back. be able to.
[0003]
Also, in general, when a phone call or an e-mail is received, the mobile phone displays an incoming call notification image, makes a sound from a speaker, or vibrates a vibrator as a vibration generating means. In addition, a function for notifying the user is provided. In addition, as an information providing service using a mobile phone, a service is known in which information is unidirectionally transmitted to a mobile phone at a predetermined timing. Some mobile phones have a function of notifying that the information transmitted by such a service has been received in a similar manner.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
Conventionally, during the execution of an application program, the output of sound from a mobile phone, vibration by a vibrator, and the like have been preferentially controlled by the program in order to perform advanced effects in games and music playback by the program. Therefore, it is up to the contents of the program whether the user is notified when a call or e-mail is received or information from the service is received during the execution of the application program. . For this reason, the following problems may occur.
[0005]
For example, in a conventional application program, generally, when an incoming call for information is received during its execution, a sound such as a ringtone is output by the program. Therefore, if the user can hear the sound, the user can notice the incoming call. However, for example, when a user on a train executes an application program on a mobile phone, the mobile phone must be set to the manner mode, which is a sound output limiting operation mode in which the output of sounds such as ringtones is limited. There is. In this manner mode, since the mobile phone is in a state where no sound is generated, even if an incoming call or the like is received during execution of the application program, the user may not notice this. At this time, the application program only needs to be designed to vibrate the vibrator instead of the sound, but such a design is often not made. In this way, if there is a possibility that the user will not be notified of an incoming call that should be notified to the user during the execution of the application program, the user has received emergency information such as an emergency call, e-mail, or earthquake / tsunami information. The user may not notice.
Some mobile phones have an alarm function for notifying that a preset time has arrived. Even in such a cellular phone, when the preset time comes during execution of the application program and the manner mode is set, the user notices that the time has arrived as described above. There may not be.
[0006]
The present invention has been made in view of the above background. An object of the present invention is to reliably notify the user of the arrival of information or the arrival of a predetermined time during the execution of an application program, even when the operation mode is set to limit sound output. An information communication terminal and a control method thereof are provided.
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
Claim 1 The invention includes an information receiving unit that receives information, an application program execution management unit that manages an execution environment of the application program, and a vibration generation unit that generates vibrations that can be felt by the user in the information communication terminal main body. When the information receiving terminal receives information during execution of the application program, the information communication terminal determines whether or not a vibration control command for information incoming notification is output from the application program execution management unit, A vibration control unit for controlling the vibration generation unit so as to generate a vibration for notifying that the information has been received when the vibration control command for the information incoming notification is not output; It is characterized by.
Depending on the content of the application program, when the information receiving unit receives information during its execution, a request to notify the user that the information has been received using a special vibration pattern as part of the presentation according to the program It is thought that there is. At this time, if information is received during the execution of the application program, if the vibration is controlled regardless of the contents of the application program, the above request cannot be met.
Therefore, the claim 1 Information communication terminal and
[0009]
[0010]
The “information communication terminal” is standardized by a mobile phone such as PDC (Personal Digital Cellular), GSM (Global System for Mobile Communication), TIA (Telecommunications Industry Association), etc., and IMT (International Mobile Telecommunications) -2000. Among the telephones such as portable telephones, PHS (Personal Handyphone Service), automobile telephones, fixed telephones, etc., there are those that can execute application programs. Examples of the “information communication terminal” include a mobile information communication terminal such as a PDA (Personal Digital Assistance) that does not have a telephone function in addition to the above-described telephone.
The program for causing the computer provided in the information communication terminal to execute the control of the vibration generating unit may be transferred using a recording medium such as an FD or a CD-ROM in which the program is recorded as digital information. However, it may be performed using a communication line such as a computer network. For example, the program is installed or upgraded in the information communication terminal by connecting a device that reads data from the recording medium and the information communication terminal via a wired interface such as an interface cable or a wireless interface. The program may be installed or upgraded online via a communication network.
