例えば、図6に示すように、VICS(Vehicle Information and Communication System)においては、路側に配置されている光ビーコン1と車両側に搭載されている車載側通信機が光(赤外線)信号を用いて路車間通信を行う。

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a transmission / reception unit for transmitting and receiving the aerial propagation signal, which is used in an in-vehicle communication device that performs communication using an aerial propagation signal within a communication area of a roadside communication device located on the front side of a vehicle.
[0002]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
For example, as shown in FIG. 6, in VICS (Vehicle Information and Communication System), an optical beacon 1 arranged on the road side and an in-vehicle communication device mounted on the vehicle side use an optical (infrared) signal. Perform road-to-vehicle communication. At this time, the transmission /

By the way, it is difficult to harmonize with the design of the vehicle interior in a state where such a transmission /
Further, since the
[0005]
This invention is made | formed in view of the said situation, The 1st objective is to provide the transmission / reception unit of the vehicle-mounted communication apparatus which can be arrange | positioned without impairing the beauty | look of a vehicle interior.
Furthermore, a second object is to provide a transmission / reception unit for an in-vehicle communication device that can be arranged compactly in appearance.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The transmission / reception unit of the vehicle-mounted communication device according to claim 1 sets the directivity angle that defines the communication directivity with the roadside communication device of the reception means in the vertical direction to be larger than that of the transmission means , The transmission means and the reception means for transmitting and receiving signals are arranged so as to be lined up and down with the reception means facing upward, and used in a state where a part of the main body is embedded in a predetermined part of the vehicle.
[0007]
That is, in communication performed between a roadside communication device and a vehicle-mounted communication device, generally, there are two directions, a downlink for transmitting a signal from the roadside to the vehicle-mounted side and an uplink for transmitting a signal from the vehicle-mounted side to the roadside. is there. Further, the communication areas set for these two links are not the same, and accordingly, the directivity angles that define the communication directivities of the transmission means and the reception means of the transmission / reception unit in the vertical direction are also different.
[0008]
If the transmitting means and the receiving means are arranged so that the receiving means are arranged vertically, when the part of the main body is embedded in a predetermined part of the vehicle, the embedding depth is increased and the upper end of the main body is increased. Even when the height protruding from the surface of the predetermined portion is lower, communication with the roadside communication device is possible in a state where the wide angle directivity of the receiving means is ensured. Accordingly, the design of the transmission / reception unit main body can be harmonized with the design of the vehicle as much as possible, and the aesthetic appearance when the main body is installed in the vehicle can be improved. In addition, since a part of the main body is embedded in a predetermined part of the vehicle, it can be arranged more compactly in appearance than a conventional transmission / reception unit.
[0009]
According to transmission and reception unit of the in-vehicle communication device according to
[0010]
That is, when the main body of the transmission / reception unit is embedded in a predetermined part of the vehicle, a hole corresponding to the outer shape of the main body is formed in the predetermined part, and the main body is embedded in the hole. Therefore, if the position of the transmission means arranged below is defined as described above, it is possible to perform communication in a state in which the directivity of the transmission means is sufficiently ensured even when the installation form of claim 1 is adopted. It becomes. For example, if the angle formed by the straight line with respect to the surface of the predetermined part matches the elevation angle, the lower end of the transmission means can be lowered most with the above condition maintained, so that the upper end of the main body is at the predetermined part. The height protruding from the surface can be reduced to the maximum, and the main body can be further harmonized with the design of the vehicle.
[0011]
According to the transmission / reception unit of the in-vehicle communication device according to
[0012]
That is, the downlink communication area is set to be larger than the uplink area, and accordingly, the directivity angle that defines the communication directivity of the light receiving means is the same as the communication directivity of the light projecting means. It is set to be larger than the prescribed directivity angle. Accordingly, when the optical signal is used, the light receiving means is arranged on the upper side, so that the wide angle directivity of the light receiving means can be secured in a state where the height at which the upper end of the main body protrudes from the surface of the predetermined portion is lowered. It becomes possible.
[0013]
According to the transmission / reception unit of the in-vehicle communication device according to claim 4, the LEDs that transmit a signal to the roadside communication device are arranged below and the photodiode that receives the signal transmitted from the roadside communication device is arranged up and down. It is used in a state where a part of the main body is embedded in a predetermined part of the vehicle. If comprised in this way, the communication directivity of a photodiode can be ensured in the state which made the height which the upper end of a main body protrudes from the surface of a predetermined part lower.
[0014]
According to the transmission / reception unit of the in-vehicle communication device according to
[0015]
According to the transmission / reception unit of the in-vehicle communication device according to claim 6, since the photodiode is set so that the communication directivity with the roadside communication device is wider than the LED, the photodiode is positioned on the LED. However, the wide-angle communication directivity of the photodiode can be sufficiently ensured.
[0016]
According to the transmission / reception unit of the in-vehicle communication device according to claim 7, the transmission unit and the reception unit that transmit and receive an optical signal to and from the optical beacon are arranged so that the reception unit faces upward, Is used in a state where a part of the vehicle is embedded in a predetermined part of the vehicle. That is, when an optical beacon is used as a roadside communication device, the same function and effect as in claim 1 can be obtained.
[0017]
According to the transmission / reception unit of the in-vehicle communication device according to the eighth aspect, since it is embedded in the instrument panel of the vehicle, the same effect as in the fifth aspect can be obtained.
According to the transmission / reception unit of the vehicle-mounted side communication device according to claim 9, since the receiving means is set so that the communication directivity with the optical beacon is wider than the transmission means, the optical beacon is used as the roadside communication device. In this case, the same effects as those of claims 1 and 6 can be obtained.
[0018]
According to the transmission / reception unit of the in-vehicle communication device of the tenth aspect, since the transmission means is an LED and the reception means is a photodiode, the same effect as that of the fourth aspect can be obtained.
