【0038】
【0082】

The present invention relates to a method for obtaining silicic acid or silicon dioxide from a material containing silicon such as glass, quartz sand, quartzite, incinerated ash, incinerated ash, incinerated ash as glassy material, ceramics, porcelain, etc. Relates to a method for extracting silicic acid or silicon dioxide from waste glass and / or ceramics using alkali melting.
[0002]
[Prior art]
With the enforcement of the Containers and Packaging Recycling Law, etc., interest in recycling and reuse of various substances is increasing, and separate collection is widely performed to enable this.
[0003]
For example, in the reuse of glass products that are disposed of in large quantities as industrial waste, the waste glass generated is separated based on the shape of the waste glass container, the coloration, or the difference in the components contained in the glass. However, although transparent glass and brown glass are reused, colored glass containers other than those described above are difficult to use as reused glass containers because there are many types of colors and shapes.
[0004]
Recently, a cullet is produced using such a colored glass container for beverages and used for road paving agents, but it is not widely used.
[0005]
Since the main component of the glass waste is silicon dioxide, it can be applied to various applications as long as silicon dioxide can be recovered from the colored glass container.
[0006]
Under such circumstances, a method for recovering silicon dioxide from glass products of industrial waste, regardless of whether it is colorless and transparent or colored glass containers, as well as from a glassy substance obtained by melting pottery, porcelain, incineration ash, or incineration ash to carbon dioxide. There is a need for a method of recovering silicon.
[0007]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
In view of the circumstances described above, an object of the present invention is to provide a method for extracting silicon dioxide from waste glass.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Below, the method for extracting silicon dioxide from glass according to the present invention will be described in detail on the basis of preferred embodiments.
[0039]
The main component of the glass that is the subject of the present invention is usually SiO 2 . In the method for extracting silicon dioxide from silicon-containing glass according to the present invention, as shown in FIG. 1, glass material and hydroxide are melted in an electric furnace, specifically, alkali-melted. The hydroxide used in the present invention includes sodium hydroxide and potassium hydroxide. The mixing ratio of the hydroxide to the glass substance is from 5 to 20:80 to 95 by weight, preferably from
[0040]
The case where sodium hydroxide is used for the alkali melting is shown in FIG. 1. From
[0041]
In addition, in order to advance this reaction efficiently, it is desirable to grind the ceramic containing silicon beforehand.
[0042]
Such alkali melting produces sodium silicate (see FIG. 1). Specifically, sodium silicate or potassium silicate that dissolves well in water is produced. When the alkali is melted, if it is brought into contact with the atmosphere, carbon dioxide in the atmosphere becomes carbon and oxygen, and in particular, carbon is mixed into the alkali silicate, and a blackening phenomenon in which the color becomes black is confirmed. This has been found to be a phenomenon that occurs when using a nickel crucible. This is because no alkali silicate blackening phenomenon was observed when a molybdenum crucible was used. However, the temperature when the molybdenum crucible is used must be lower than that of the nickel crucible.
[0043]
When using a nickel crucible, it is considered that nickel acts as a catalyst to decompose carbon dioxide, and the carbon produced by the decomposition is mixed into the alkali silicate, causing a blackening phenomenon. The mixed carbon can be easily removed by the filtration method.
[0044]
Next, the produced alkali silicate is brought into contact with water (preferably distilled water). At this time, the aqueous solution becomes a high-concentration alkaline aqueous solution.
[0045]
In the case of alkali melting, carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is decomposed and carbon is mixed in the reaction product. After adding distilled water to the obtained reaction product, carbon is mixed without dissolving in the aqueous solution. To do. In addition, when distilled water is added to the reaction product to form a sodium silicate aqueous solution, precipitates of metal hydroxide (for example, iron hydroxide, manganese hydroxide, etc.) that are difficult to dissolve are also mixed in the aqueous solution.
[0046]
Therefore, when obtaining a sodium silicate aqueous solution, it is necessary to add water to the reaction product to form an aqueous solution, and then filter the aqueous solution to separate the sodium silicate aqueous solution from the carbon and metal hydroxide precipitates. . It is desirable to obtain a pure sodium silicate aqueous solution at the stage of separating the sodium silicate aqueous solution and the precipitate of carbon and metal hydroxide by filtration, but the presence of metal hydroxide is dissolved as an aqueous solution at this stage. This is acceptable in this method.
[0047]
Since the hydroxide derived from iron or manganese contained in the colored glass product is insoluble in the high-concentration alkaline aqueous solution, it is possible to remove metals such as iron and manganese that are the cause of coloring by filtering. However, metal ions present in a trace amount still remain in the aqueous alkali silicate solution dissolved in water. When filtering, if glass fiber filter paper having a mesh of 0.5 to 1.0 μm, preferably 0.6 to 0.9 μm, more preferably 0.6 to 0.8 μm is used, the purpose of filtering impurities Can be achieved. Filtration takes time with a mesh of 0.5 μm or less, and it is difficult to remove impurities with a mesh of 1.0 μm or more.
[0048]
In addition, carbon, which is a problem when using a nickel crucible, does not dissolve in water itself, and can be easily removed by the above-described filtration.
[0049]
Thereafter, an acid is added to the aqueous alkali silicate solution. Specific examples of the acid include inorganic acids such as hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, nitric acid, and phosphoric acid. In particular, it is preferable to add hydrochloric acid for practical use. An acid is added to an aqueous alkali silicate solution to form an acidic (for example, pH of 1 or lower) aqueous solution, followed by boiling to precipitate and precipitate silicic acid (Si (OH) 4 ). Thereafter, the silicic acid is dried to form silicon dioxide. Here, silicic acid does not dissolve in high-concentration acid, whereas a trace amount of metal dissolves in acid.
[0050]
In summary, the extraction method described above is mainly constituted by the reactions described in the following three chemical reaction formulas (FIG. 2).
[0051]
Next, an example of the method for recovering silicon dioxide in the present invention will be described with reference to FIG.

Furthermore, when the alkali silicate aqueous solution to which hydrochloric acid has been added after the silicic acid is precipitated is neutralized with sodium hydroxide, a NaCl aqueous solution or a KCl aqueous solution is generated. These chlorides can recover sodium hydroxide or potassium hydroxide and hydrochloric acid by conventional electrolysis, and can be reused in the melting step. Furthermore, the hydrochloric acid recovered in the

As described above, the method for extracting silicon dioxide according to the present invention includes a sodium silicate preparation step, a silicic acid precipitation / precipitation step, and a drying step.

Colored glass products usually contain a metal. Specifically, the green of the wine bottle is attributed to iron ions and manganese ions, and the brown color of the beer bottle is attributed to iron ions.
[0061]
In the present application, attention was paid to SiO 2 and other metal elements Al, Ca, Fe and Mn which are mainly used as components of colored glass products based on the above facts.

[0063]
After that, the method established in the above model experiment was applied to actual colored glass products, and silicon dioxide was extracted from the colored glass, and applied to colored glass, which is industrial waste. It was confirmed that silicon dioxide can be recovered.

[0069]
[Model experiment 2]
Colored glass, an industrial waste, was collected and pulverized. When the ground glass was analyzed by an energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (hereinafter referred to as “EDX”) method, Na, Mg, Al, Si, K, Ca, Ti, Mn, Fe and Cu elements were found. Turned out to be included.

Next, Al, CaCO 3 , Fe 2 O 3 , and MnO 2 were dissolved in hydrochloric acid at the weight ratio described above to obtain an aqueous hydrochloric acid solution B containing Al, Ca, Fe, and Mn ions.
[0073]
Solution C was prepared by mixing solution A and hydrochloric acid aqueous solution B described above. When this solution C was boiled, silicic acid and sodium chloride were produced and precipitated. In this case, since it is a strong acid by hydrochloric acid, other metal ions remain dissolved. Since this silicic acid does not dissolve in the hydrochloric acid solution, silicon dioxide was obtained by filtering from the hydrochloric acid solution and drying by heating.
