【従来の技術】
化粧台等に設けられる一般的な化粧鏡では、正面平面鏡が垂直に設けられ、この正面平面鏡の左方には左側平面鏡が垂直に設けられ、正面平面鏡の右方にはその人等の右側面を写す右側平面鏡が垂直に設けられている。正面平面鏡はその前に位置する人等の正面を写す。また、正面平面鏡と面一の状態から正面平面鏡に対して内向きの状態まで揺動可能に設けられた左側平面鏡はその内向きの状態においてその人等の左側面を写す。同様に、正面平面鏡と面一の状態から正面平面鏡に対して内向きの状態まで揺動可能に設けられた右側平面鏡はその内向きの状態においてその人等の右側面を写す。そして、かかる化粧鏡では、通常、正面平面鏡の上方に蛍光燈等の光源が前方に突出して設けられ、この光源からの光によりその前に位置する人等を照らすことができるようになっている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】

しかしながら、かかる公報記載の化粧鏡では、使用時、透光部を透過した光により人を照射する一方、その透光部は光源を隠蔽するために透光性を低くする必要がある。このため、この化粧鏡では、光源において十分な光量を有していた光でも透光部を経た後に充分な光量を維持できず、その人等を充分に照明できない。

前記正面平面鏡の端部裏側で前記隣接平面鏡の内側端よりも内側に光源が設けられ、該光源は、該隣接平面鏡が該正面平面鏡と面一の状態では該正面平面鏡及び該隣接平面鏡により実質的に隠蔽され、該隣接平面鏡が該正面平面鏡に対して内向きの状態では該隣接平面鏡により光が反射されるべく構成されていることを特徴とする。

本発明の化粧鏡の前方に水栓及び洗面ボールをもつカウンタを設ければ、本発明の洗面化粧台となる。

また、本発明の洗面化粧台では、カウンタの下方にその蓋部材と面一をなす椅子を収納することが好ましい。洗面化粧台の使用する人がその椅子に腰掛けることができるからである。また、その椅子は収納時に蓋部材と面一をなすため、よりデザイン性を発揮する。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、本発明を具体化した実施形態を図面を参照しつつ説明する。
実施形態の洗面化粧台では、図１、図３及び図５に示すように、腰の高さ程に形成された箱体１の上面にカウンタ２が固定され、カウンタ２の上面には洗面ボール３が一体に設けられている。また、箱体１の背後からは枠体４が上方に一体的に延在されており、枠体４に化粧鏡５が設けられている。
