【発明が解決しようとする課題】
ところで、下水あるいは工場廃水等の処理に、次亜塩素酸ナトリウム等の塩素系の消毒剤を用いると副産物としてトリハロメタン等の有害物質が発生し易く、放流先の生態系に悪影響を及ぼす恐れがある。また塩素系の消毒剤を用いた殺菌法は紫外線を用いた殺菌法に比べ維持管理費が高くなる欠点がある。また紫外線ランプを用いる方法によると、紫外線ランプをジャケットの内部に収納して複数本処理水の内部に配置し実施するため、一部の防水性が破壊した場合装置全体が使用できなくなる欠点がある。また紫外線ランプを処理水の内部に配置するため、処理水の流れが速い場合は、ジャケットの内部に収納してなる紫外線ランプが振動するため、ランプが破損する恐れがある。また紫外線ランプを収納するジャケットに、処理水に含まれる鉄、マンガン、珪素、アルミニウム等が付着し紫外線の透過率が低下するため、周期的にジャケットの外表面を清掃する必要がある。
