【発明の属する技術分野】
この発明は、ホテル、旅館等において、館内に設置されているＣＡＴＶシステムの有料プログラムの視聴禁止、視聴許可の各モードを外部から簡単に設定変更することができるＣＡＴＶシステム用のコインタイマ装置に関する。
【０００２】
【従来の技術】
ホテル、旅館等には、一般プログラムの他に、有料プログラムを併せ提供するＣＡＴＶシステムの導入が盛んであり、その課金システムとして、コインタイマ装置が広く採用されている。
【０００３】
このものは、一般に、有料プログラムを視聴するときに操作する選択スイッチと、無料の一般プログラムを視聴するときに操作する停止スイッチと、投入されたコインの金額に応じて有料プログラムの視聴可能時間を設定する制御ユニットとを備えており、制御ユニットは、有料プログラムの視聴可能時間が設定されているときにのみ、選択スイッチによって有料プログラムの視聴を許容し、視聴可能時間が設定されていないとき、停止スイッチによって一般プログラムの視聴を許容する。そこで、視聴者は、投入したコインの金額に応じて有料プログラムを有料視聴することができる。

なお、コインタイマ装置は、たとえば未成年の視聴者が不用意に成人映画などの映像を見てしまわないように、内部のモード設定スイッチを切り換えることにより、有料プログラムの視聴禁止モード、視聴許可モードの一方を設定することができる。モード設定スイッチは、コインタイマ装置のケースを開けて操作する必要があり、ケースのキーを所持する管理者以外の者が操作することができないようになっている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
かかる従来技術によるときは、モード設定スイッチは、キーを使い、ケースを開けて操作しなければならないから、有料プログラムの視聴禁止モード、視聴許可モードの設定変更作業が極めて煩雑であるという問題があった。なお、有料プログラムの視聴禁止モード、視聴許可モードの切換は、その目的を達成するために、特定の管理者のみが実行可能とし、不特定人が簡単に実行できないようにすることが必要である。

そこで、この発明の目的は、かかる従来技術の問題に鑑み、停止スイッチ、選択スイッチを規定手順に従って操作することにって、規定手順を知る管理者のみが外部から有料プログラムの視聴禁止モード、視聴許可モードを簡単に切換設定することができるＣＡＴＶシステム用のコインタイマ装置を提供することにある。

【課題を解決するための手段】
かかる目的を達成するためのこの発明の構成は、停止スイッチ、選択スイッチと、停止スイッチにより有料プログラムの視聴を停止して一般プログラムの視聴を許容し、選択スイッチにより有料プログラムの視聴を許容してチャンネルを選択する制御ユニットとを備えてなり、制御ユニットは、メモリに記憶されている有料プログラムの視聴モード切換用の規定手順に従って停止スイッチ、選択スイッチを規定回数だけ同時操作することにより、有料プログラムの視聴禁止モード、視聴許可モードに交互に手動切換設定可能であり、有料プログラムの視聴禁止モードに設定されてからの経過時間、有料プログラムの有料視聴の中断からの経過時間を個別に計測し、有料プログラムの視聴禁止モードが規定時間を超えたことにより有料プログラムの視聴許可モードに自動切換し、停止スイッチによって有料プログラムの有料視聴を中断するとき、規定時間の経過により課金タイマをクリアすることをその要旨とする。

さらに、制御ユニットは、選択スイッチによって、プレビュータイマに設定する所定のプレビュー時間だけ有料プログラムの無料視聴を許容することができる。

なお、制御ユニットは、規定時間毎に所定のプレビュー時間をプレビュータイマに設定してもよく、このとき、有料プログラムの有料視聴の終了と同時に所定のプレビュー時間をプレビュータイマに設定してもよい。

【作用】
かかる発明の構成によるときは、制御ユニットは、規定手順に従って停止スイッチ、選択スイッチを操作することにより、有料プログラムの視聴禁止モード、有料プログラムの視聴許可モードに切換設定可能である。すなわち、有料プログラムの視聴禁止モード、視聴許可モードの切換は、規定手順を知っている管理者のみが、ケース表面の停止スイッチ、選択スイッチを介して簡単に実行することができる。なお、有料プログラムの視聴禁止モードのときは、視聴者が選択スイッチを操作しても、有料プログラムを視聴することが全くできない。

また、制御ユニットは、規定時間の経過により課金タイマをクリアすることによって、前日の宿泊客が課金タイマに残した有料プログラムの視聴可能時間を利用して翌日の宿泊客が有料プログラムを無料視聴することを確実に防止することができる。なお、このときの規定時間は、たとえば、有料プログラムの有料視聴の開始または中断から１２時間に設定することができる。

規定時間を超えたことにより有料プログラムの視聴禁止モードを視聴許可モードに自動切換すれば、管理者は、前日と翌日との宿泊客が異なり、異なるモードを設定しなければならない場合であっても、有料プログラムの視聴禁止モードを視聴許可モードに変更する設定作業を省略することができる。ただし、有料プログラムの視聴禁止モードから視聴許可モードへの切換は、連続して宿泊する宿泊客がある場合を考慮して、前者の設定の際に自動切換の有無を指定可能にしておくことが好ましい。

プレビュータイマに設定するプレビュー時間だけ有料プログラムの無料視聴を許容する制御ユニットは、視聴者に対し、有料プログラムを短いプレビュー時間だけ無料視聴させることにより、有料プログラムを有料視聴するか否かの意思決定をさせることができる。なお、プレビュー時間は、２〜３チャンネル程度の複数チャンネルの有料プログラムを提供する場合であっても、全体として１〜２分程度でよい。

規定時間毎にプレビュー時間をプレビュータイマに設定すれば、プレビュータイマは、規定時間内における有料プログラムの無料視聴時間を所定のプレビュー時間に制限することができる。ただし、このときの規定時間は、たとえば３時間程度に設定するものとする。

有料プログラムの有料視聴が終了と同時にプレビュー時間を設定すれば、プレビュータイマは、有料プログラムの有料視聴の終了と同時に、新たに設定する所定のプレビュー時間だけ有料プログラムの無料視聴を許容することができる。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、図面を以って発明の実施の形態を説明する。
【００１９】
ＣＡＴＶシステム用のコインタイマ装置は、停止スイッチ１１、選択スイッチ１２と、制御ユニット２１とを主要部材としてなる（図１）。

停止スイッチ１１、選択スイッチ１２は、それぞれ制御ユニット２１に接続されており、制御ユニット２１には、検銭部１３の出力が接続されている。制御ユニット２１には、メモリ２１ａ、課金タイマ２１ｂ、プレビュータイマ２１ｃ、タイマ（１）２１ｄ、タイマ（２）２１ｅ、タイマ（３）２１ｆがそれぞれ双方向に接続されている。また、制御ユニット２１の出力は、表示部２２、コンバータ２３に個別に接続されている。コンバータ２３には、有料プログラムと一般プログラムとからなる多チャンネルのビデオ信号を搬送するＣＡＴＶネットワークＮＷの一端が分岐接続されており、コンバータ２３の出力は、ＣＡＴＶネットワークＮＷの端末となるテレビ受像機ＴＶに接続されている。

停止スイッチ１１、選択スイッチ１２、表示部２２は、検銭部１３、制御ユニット２１、コンバータ２３を収納するケースＢの前面に装着されている（図２）。表示部２２には、停止スイッチ１１の操作によって点灯するランプＰ1 と、選択スイッチ１２の操作によって順次点灯するランプＰ2 、Ｐ3 、Ｐ4 とが設けられている。また、ケースＢには、検銭部１３に連絡するコイン投入口Ｂ1 が形成されている。

そこで、停止スイッチ１１を操作すると、制御ユニット２１は、表示部２２のランプＰ1 を点灯させるとともに、コンバータ２３を介し、ＣＡＴＶネットワークＮＷからの一般プログラムのビデオ信号を抽出してテレビ受像機ＴＶに伝送し、テレビ受像機ＴＶを介して一般プログラムを視聴させることができる。なお、一般プログラムには、複数チャンネルが含まれており、視聴者は、テレビ受像機ＴＶのチャンネル切換機能を利用して一般プログラムの任意のチャンネルを選択することができる。

また、選択スイッチ１２を操作すると、制御ユニット２１は、表示部２２のランプＰ2 を点灯させるとともに、コンバータ２３を介して有料プログラムの１波をテレビ受像機ＴＶに伝送させ、当該有料プログラムを視聴させることができる。なお、有料プログラムを視聴中にさらに選択スイッチ１２を操作すると、制御ユニット２１は、ランプＰ3 を点灯させるとともに、コンバータ２３を介して有料プログラムの他の１波をテレビ受像機ＴＶに伝送し、さらに選択スイッチ１２を操作すると、ランプＰ4 を点灯させて別の１波をテレビ受像機ＴＶに伝送する。すなわち、制御ユニット２１は、選択スイッチ１２によって有料プログラムの視聴を許容し、さらに、選択スイッチ１２を介して複数チャンネルからなる有料プログラムの任意のチャンネルを選択することができる。

図１において、検銭部１３は、有料プログラムを有料視聴するためにコイン投入口Ｂ1 を介して投入するコインを識別し、課金タイマ２１ｂは、有料プログラムの有料視聴時間を計測する。なお、課金タイマ２１ｂは、投入されたコインの投入金額に応じ、制御ユニット２１を介して所定の視聴可能時間に設定される。タイマ（１）２１ｄは、制御ユニット２１が有料プログラムの視聴禁止モードに設定されたとき、その経過時間を計測し、タイマ（２）２１ｅは、有料プログラムの有料視聴の開始または中断からの経過時間を計測する。また、タイマ（３）は、電源投入からの経過時間および有料プログラムの有料視聴の終了からの経過時間を計測する。

なお、この発明において、有料プログラムの視聴禁止モードとは、選択スイッチ１２が操作されても、選択スイッチ１２の操作を無効にし、コンバータ２３を一般プログラムの視聴側に固定しておくことをいう。また、有料プログラムの視聴許可モードとは、選択スイッチ１２の操作を有効とし、表示部２２のランプＰ2 、Ｐ3 、Ｐ4 のいずれかを点灯させるとともに、コンバータ２３を介して有料プログラムの任意の１チャンネルを選択して視聴することができることをいう。

制御ユニット２１は、停止スイッチ１１、選択スイッチ１２を規定手順に従って同時に操作することにより、全体を有料プログラムの視聴禁止モード、視聴可能モードに切換設定することができる。また、制御ユニット２１は、タイマ（１）２１ｄ、タイマ（２）２１ｅ、タイマ（３）２１ｆのタイムアップを監視することにより、それぞれ、規定時間の経過により有料プログラムの視聴禁止モードを視聴許可モードに自動切換し、規定時間の経過により課金タイマ２１ｂに残る視聴可能時間を強制的にクリアし、規定時間毎に所定のプレビュー時間をプレビュータイマ２１ｃに設定することができる。

かかるＣＡＴＶシステム用のコインタイマ装置の作動は、図３ないし図８の各プログラムフローチャートに示されている。

制御ユニット２１は、電源が投入されると、図３のプレビュー時間設定処理プログラムを実行する。ただし、図３のプログラムは、電源投入の他、タイマ（３）２１ｆのタイムアップによっても起動され、さらに、図７の有料プログラム視聴停止処理プログラム、図８の課金タイマ強制クリア処理プログラムによっても起動されるものとする。

図３のプレビュー時間設定処理プログラムは、まず、電源投入によって起動されたことを確認して（図３のプログラムステップ（１）、以下、単に（１）のように記す）、システムイニシャライズを実行する（２）。なお、システムイニシャライズは、課金タイマ２１ｂ、プレビュータイマ２１ｃ、タイマ（１）２１ｄ、タイマ（２）２１ｅ、タイマ（３）２１ｆをすべてクリアして停止させ、コンバータ２３を一般プログラムの視聴側にリセットするものとする。その後、プログラムは、タイマ（３）２１ｆのタイムアップ以外によって起動されたときは（３）、先きに選択された有料プログラムの選択チャンネルに関する選択情報を消去し（４）、次の有料プログラムの視聴をあらかじめ定める最初のチャンネルから開始させることができる。

さらに、プログラムは、タイマ（３）２１ｆに対し、たとえば３時間の規定時間を設定して（５）、それをスタートさせ（６）、所定のプレビュー時間をプレビュータイマ２１ｃに設定して終了する（７）。また、プログラムは、タイマ（３）２１ｆがタイムアップするとき等にも再起動し、同様の動作を繰り返すことにより（（１）、（３）〜（７））、タイマ（３）２１ｆに設定する規定時間毎に所定のプレビュー時間をプレビュータイマ２１ｃに設定することができる。

制御ユニット２１は、停止スイッチ１１、選択スイッチ１２を同時操作することにより、図４のモード切換処理プログラムを実行する。

プログラムは、まず、停止スイッチ１１、選択スイッチ１２の操作手順と、メモリ２１ａに記憶されている有料プログラムの視聴モード切換用の規定手順とを対比し、両者が一致しているとき、停止スイッチ１１、選択スイッチ１２の操作手順が規定手順に従って操作されたと判断することができる（図４のプログラムステップ（１）、以下、単に（１）のように記す）。ただし、ここでいう規定手順とは、たとえば、停止スイッチ１１、選択スイッチ１２の双方を同時に規定回数だけ操作することをいう。その後、プログラムは、有料プログラムの視聴許可モードにあることを確認すると（２）、全体を有料プログラムの視聴禁止モードに切り換えるとともに（３）、たとえば１２時間の規定時間をタイマ（１）２１ｄに設定し（４）、それをスタートさせる（５）。

つづいて、プログラムは、たとえば停止スイッチ１１のみを１回操作することによる設定確認操作があるときは（６）、表示部２２のランプＰ2 、Ｐ3 、Ｐ4 を点滅させて有料プログラムの視聴禁止モードが正しく設定されていることを表示して終了し（７）、設定確認操作がなければ（６）、そのまま終了する。

一方、プログラムは、停止スイッチ１１、選択スイッチ１２が規定手順に従って同時操作されたとき（１）、有料プログラムの視聴禁止モードにあることを確認すると（２）、タイマ（１）２１ｄを停止させた上（８）、全体を有料プログラムの視聴許可モードに切換設定する（９）。また、プログラムは、たとえば選択スイッチ１２のみを１回操作することによる設定確認操作があるときは（６）、表示部２２のランプＰ2 、Ｐ3 、Ｐ4 を点滅させて有料プログラムの視聴許可モードに正しく設定されていることを表示して（７）、終了する。すなわち、プログラムは、停止スイッチ１１、選択スイッチ１２を規定手順に従って同時操作することにより、有料プログラムの視聴禁止モード、視聴許可モードに交互に手動切換することができる。

なお、図４のモード切換処理プログラムは、プログラムステップ（４）によってスタートするタイマ（１）２１ｄのタイムアップによっても起動されるものとし、このときは、全体を有料プログラムの視聴禁止モードから視聴許可モードに強制的に復帰させる（（１）、（１０）、（９））。すなわち、このときのプログラムは、有料プログラムの視聴禁止モードがタイマ（１）２１ｄに設定する規定時間を超えたことにより、全体を有料プログラムの視聴許可モードに自動切換することができる。

制御ユニット２１は、一般プログラムを視聴中に選択スイッチ１２を操作することにより、図５の有料プログラム視聴処理プログラムを実行する。

プログラムは、全体が有料プログラムの視聴許可モードに設定されていないときは（図５のプログラムステップ（１）、以下、単に（１）のように記す）、選択スイッチ１２の操作を無効としてそのまま終了する。一方、プログラムは、有料プログラムの視聴許可モードにあるときは（１）、有料プログラムの無料視聴中でないこと、すなわちプレビュー中でないこと（２）、有料プログラムの有料視聴中でないこと（３）、課金タイマ２１ｂに有料プログラムの視聴許可時間が残っていないこと（４）、プレビュータイマ２１ｃにプレビュー時間が残っていること（５）の各条件を確認した上、プレビュータイマ２１ｃをスタートさせるとともに、コンバータ２３を有料プログラムの視聴側にセットする（８）。なお、コンバータ２３のセットとは、表示部２２のランプＰ2 、Ｐ3 、Ｐ4 の１個を点灯させるとともに、コンバータ２３を介して有料プログラムの１波をテレビ受像機ＴＶに伝送させることをいう。

すなわち、視聴者は、図３のプログラムステップ（７）によりプレビュータイマ２１ｃに設定されている所定のプレビュー時間内に限り、テレビ受像機ＴＶを介し、コンバータ２３によって抽出される有料プログラムの１チャンネルを無料視聴することができる。なお、図５のプログラムは、有料プログラムの無料視聴中に選択スイッチ１２が再操作されることによって再起動し、このときは、表示部２２のランプＰ2 、Ｐ3 、Ｐ4 を順次切り換えるとともに、コンバータ２３を介し、視聴中の有料プログラムのチャンネルを順次切り換えることができる（図５のプログラムステップ（１）、（２）、（６））。

一方、制御ユニット２１は、コイン投入口Ｂ1 を介して検銭部１３にコインを投入することにより、図６のコイン投入処理プログラムを実行する。

プログラムは、有料プログラムの視聴許可モードに設定されていない場合は（図６のプログラムステップ（１）、以下、単に（１）のように記す）、投入されたコインを無効としてそのまま終了する。また、プログラムは、有料プログラムの視聴許可モードに設定されているとき（１）、現に有料プログラムを有料視聴していないこと（２）、課金タイマ２１ｂに有料プログラムの視聴可能時間が残っていないこと（３）、投入されたコインがスタート金額に達していないことを確認して（４）、投入された金額をメモリ２１ａに記憶する（５）。

コインの投入を繰り返し（（１）〜（５））、投入金額が有料プログラムの視聴を開始するときに必要なスタート金額に達すると（４）、プログラムは、タイマ（２）２１ｅに規定時間を設定してそれをスタートさせるとともに、プレビュータイマ２１ｃを停止させ（６）、さらに、投入されたコインに５００円コインが含まれていたか否かにより（７）、サービス時間付きまたはサービス時間なしの視聴可能時間を課金タイマ２１ｂに設定する（（８）、（９））。すなわち、課金タイマ２１ｂに設定する有料プログラムの視聴可能時間は、投入金額によって決定されるが、投入されたコインに５００円コインが含まれる場合は、視聴可能時間に一定のサービス時間が加算される。たとえば、有料プログラムの視聴可能時間が１００円当り１０分間である場合、１００円コイン５枚を投入すれば５０分の視聴可能時間が設定されるが、５００円コイン１枚を投入すれば、サービス時間１０分が加算されて６０分の視聴可能時間が設定される。

つづいて、プログラムは、現に課金タイマ２１ｂが作動中でないことを確認し（１０）、課金タイマ２１ｂをスタートさせるとともにコンバータ２３を有料プログラムの視聴側にセットして（１１）、終了する。すなわち、プログラムは、テレビ受像機ＴＶを介し、有料プログラムの有料視聴を開始させるとともに、課金タイマ２１ｂを介して有料プログラムの有料視聴時間を計測することができ、視聴者は、課金タイマ２１ｂがタイムアップするまで有料プログラムを有料視聴することができる。

一方、このようにして有料プログラムを有料視聴中に選択スイッチ１２を再操作すると、図５の有料プログラム視聴処理プログラムが再起動する。すなわち、このときのプログラムは、有料プログラムを有料視聴中であることにより、選択スイッチ１２を介し、有料プログラムのチャンネルを順次切り換えることができる（図５のプログラムステップ（１）〜（３）、（６））。

なお、表示部２２は、図６のコイン投入処理プログラムによって有料プログラムの有料視聴が開始されると、課金タイマ２１ｂがタイムアップする直前、たとえば１分前に有料視聴中の有料プログラムのチャンネルに対応するランプＰ2 、Ｐ3 、Ｐ4 のいずれかを点滅表示するものとする。そこで、視聴者は、コイン投入口Ｂ1 を介してコインを追加投入することができ、このときも、図６のコイン投入処理プログラムが起動する。ただし、このときのプログラムは、現に有料プログラムを有料視聴中であり、課金タイマ２１ｂが作動中であることにより、追加投入されたコインの投入金額に対応する視聴可能時間を課金タイマ２１ｂに追加設定するだけで有料視聴を延長することができる（図６のプログラムステップ（１）、（２）、（７）〜（１０））。

制御ユニット２１は、有料プログラムの無料視聴中にプレビュータイマ２１ｃがタイムアップしたとき、有料プログラムの有料視聴中に課金タイマ２１ｂがタイムアップしたとき、または、停止スイッチ１１を操作することにより、図７の有料プログラム視聴停止処理プログラムを実行する。

プログラムは、プレビュータイマ２１ｃがタイムアップしたときは（図７のプログラムステップ（１）、以下、単に（１）のように記す）、コンバータ２３を一般プログラムの視聴側にリセットして終了するが（２）、課金タイマ２１ｂがタイムアップしたときは（（１）、（３））、コンバータ２３をリセットするとともに（４）、図３のプレビュー時間設定処理プログラムを起動して終了する（５）。すなわち、プログラムは、プレビュータイマ２１ｃ、課金タイマ２１ｂのタイムアップにより、コンバータ２３をリセットして有料プログラムの無料視聴、有料視聴を終了させて一般プログラムの視聴状態に強制的に切り換えることができる他、特に後者の場合には、タイマ（３）２１ｆを再設定するともに、プレビュータイマ２１ｃに対し、新たに所定のプレビュー時間を設定することができる（図３のプログラムステップ（５）〜（７））。

また、図７の有料プログラム視聴停止処理プログラムは、停止スイッチ１１が操作された場合に、有料プログラムの有料視聴中であれば（（１）、（３）、（６））、課金タイマ２１ｂを停止させて（７）、有料プログラムの有料視聴を中断させ（２）、有料プログラムの無料視聴中であれば（８）、プレビュータイマ２１ｃを停止させて（９）、有料プログラムの無料視聴を中断させる（２）。なお、このようにして中断された有料プログラムの有料視聴は、選択スイッチ１２の再操作によって再開させることができ（図５のプログラムステップ（１）〜（４）、（７））、無料視聴も同様である（同（１）〜（５）、（８））。また、このようにして、有料プログラムの有料視聴、無料視聴が中断され、再開された場合は、中断された際の有料プログラムの選択チャンネルが選択情報として記憶され、再開時にそれが再現されるものとする。

なお、一般プログラムを視聴中に停止スイッチ１１を操作しても、無効である（図７のプログラムステップ（１）、（３）、（６）、（８））。

また、制御ユニット２１は、図６のプログラムステップ（６）によってスタートさせるタイマ（２）２１ｅがタイムアップすると、図８の課金タイマ強制クリア処理プログラムを実行する。

プログラムは、有料プログラムを有料視聴中でないとき（図８のプログラムステップ（１）、以下、単に（１）のように記す）、すなわち一般プログラムを視聴中であるときは、課金タイマ２１ｂに残っている有料プログラムの視聴可能時間を強制的にクリアした上（２）、図３のプレビュー時間設定処理プログラムを起動して（３）、終了する。なお、プログラムは、有料プログラムを有料視聴中であるときは（１）、課金タイマ２１ｂがタイムアップして有料プログラムの有料視聴が終了するのを待つ（（４）、（３））。すなわち、プログラムは、有料プログラムを正規に有料視聴しているときは、それを強制的に中断させることはしないが、有料プログラムの有料視聴を中断したまま課金タイマ２１ｂに有料プログラムの視聴可能時間が残されている場合は、タイマ（２）２１ｅに設定する規定時間の経過により、それを強制的にクリアすることができる。
