【0001】

[Industrial application fields]
The present invention relates to a musical sound synthesizer for synthesizing musical sound signals by networking a plurality of waveguides, and more particularly to simplification of the configuration.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, when a musical tone signal of a percussion instrument is electronically synthesized, a waveform memory sound source using PCM is often used. This is because in the case of percussion musical sounds, since the musical sound does not last and there is little need to control the pitch, a high-quality musical sound signal is obtained by sampling only by scanning the memory at a constant speed according to the sound generation trigger. This is because they could be synthesized.
[0003]
However, although an actual percussion instrument has a timbre that varies greatly depending on the tuning, playing style, and hit position, the PCM sound source produces the exact same musical tone no matter how many times it is played. It was difficult for the sound source to cope with the timbre changes as described above.
[0004]
Therefore, in recent years, a sound source using a waveguide has been proposed as a sound source suitable for a percussion instrument type tone. A wave guide is a circuit in which a vibration propagation medium such as a drum skin, a string of a stringed instrument, or an air column of a wind instrument is simulated by a reciprocating signal transmission circuit including a delay and a filter. A typical waveguide is shown in FIG. Here, an IIR low-
[0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
By the way, in the case of a tom, both skins are connected by a cylindrical frame or an air column in the frame, and the timbre and pitch change depending on the length of the frame. However, in the circuit of FIG. 8, the waveguides simulating the double-sided skin are directly coupled to each other via an adder, and the coupling degree between the waveguides is fixed. There were drawbacks that could not be realized. However, if the coupling between all the waveguides is complicated, the amount of calculation becomes extremely large, and there is a disadvantage that the burden on the hardware or the DSP becomes large.
[0006]
Furthermore, to obtain high-quality musical sounds, it is necessary to increase the number of waveguides that simulate the skin. However, since conventional waveguides have a loop filter for each waveguide, many filter coefficients are required. There is a major drawback in both the amount of computation and the burden on the software, such as the need to control them simultaneously.
[0007]
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION An object of the present invention is to provide a waveguide-type musical tone synthesizer that can realize complicated timbre changes and has a simple circuit configuration (calculation).
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The inventions are collectively a plurality of waveguides which constitute the delay means in a closed loop connected to a plurality of systems, the waveguide connected in parallel with each line was further connected to one another each system through a feedback circuit A tone synthesizer, wherein the feedback circuit synthesizes a signal input from each system with a first coefficient multiplier for multiplying a signal input from each system by a first coefficient for each system. A first addition means for multiplying, a second coefficient multiplication means for multiplying the synthesized signal by a second coefficient, and a signal for each system outputted from the first coefficient multiplication means for the second coefficient multiplication means. And a second adding means provided for each system that adds the combined signal output from the input signal and inputs it to the original system, and the total value of the first coefficient and the second coefficient does not exceed 1 Is set to And wherein the door.
[0010]
[Action]
The musical tone synthesizer of the present invention collects a plurality of waveguides into a plurality of systems that simulate a resonator. The waveguides of each system are connected in parallel. The systems connected in parallel are connected to each other via a junction circuit. The junction circuit is, for example, a coupling waveguide or a feedback circuit. By connecting in this way, the timbre can be changed by changing the degree of coupling, and the configuration is simplified as compared to networking all the waveguides.
[0011]
In the case of using a plurality of waveguides, the respective waveguides are connected in parallel and their output signals are synthesized, and then these signals are passed through a filter circuit. Further, this signal is returned to the input terminal of the waveguide row. As a result, it is not necessary to provide a filter in the waveguide, the circuit is simplified, the calculation is facilitated, and substantially the same timbre function can be achieved.

[0021]
In the first embodiment, the two waveguide groups are coupled by the coupling waveguide. However, since the waveguide includes a delay circuit, the tone changes depending on the delay amount, and this circuit is realized by the DSP. In such a case, there is a disadvantage that the amount of calculation in the waveguide portion for coupling increases and the burden on the DSP increases. Therefore, in this embodiment, a

Unlike the loop filter, the junction filter does not work on signal components that loop in the waveguide. However, the characteristics of the filter are reflected in the entire system, and changes such as a muted sound in the case of a high-pass filter and a sound in which a harmonic overtone is quickly attenuated can be obtained.

In this example, the loop filter in the waveguide is omitted, but the loop filter and the junction filter are used together, and the basic tone is set with the loop filter. A method using a junction filter is also conceivable. This method is particularly effective when only a junction filter cannot cover a wide range of timbres. Even in this method, since there is only one filter for controlling characteristics in real time, the amount of calculation and the burden of control are very small.

【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the present invention, a plurality of waveguides are divided into a plurality of systems, and the respective systems are connected by the waveguides, thereby simplifying the network configuration and transmitting the drum air column, the frame, and the like. The system can be simulated.

Further, by providing a junction filter in place of the loop filter, the circuit configuration can be simplified, and a timbre change almost the same as when the loop filter is provided in all the waveguides can be realized.
