【0001】

As described above, according to the first invention, in an image forming apparatus having an upper sheet stacking unit and a lower sheet stacking unit that hold a recording sheet in a substantially vertical direction, incident light from an open portion of the lower sheet stacking unit Can be prevented from being adversely affected by the light shielding sheet and the image forming means or the like.
[0053]
Further , since the light shielding sheet also serves as a guide for the recording sheet of the upper sheet stacking means, the influence of external light can be reduced by inexpensive means without increasing the manufacturing cost so much.
[0054]
Further , since the light-shielding sheet contacts the recording sheet only in the vicinity of the sheet feeding unit, there is an effect that the printing accuracy, transportability and the like are not affected. The light-shielding sheet, the leading edge of the separated isolation section since in contact with or in proximity to the recording sheet, it is possible to perform shading of the street apt portion of the incident light more reliably.
[0055]
According to the second invention, since the light shielding sheet is arranged in the recording sheet stacking range and is in contact with or close to the recording sheet, a more reliable light shielding effect can be obtained over a wide range. Further, by separating the light shielding sheet corresponding to each sheet size and performing light shielding, it is possible to block incident light from a gap in a range where the recording sheets are not stacked.
