この補助ライナ部材33の前後方向の長さL3および左右方向の長さW3はそれぞれ120mm(凹部31の前後方向の長さL 2 および左右方向の長さW2のそれぞれ約95%)で、ほゞ円形であった。
【0056】
この補助ライナ部材33の前後方向の長さL3 および左右方向の長さW3 はそれぞれ120mm(凹部31の前後方向の長さおよび左右方向の長さW2 のそれぞれ約95%)で、ほゞ円形であった。
【0057】

上記長さW8 、W9 の実際の値の一例としては、55mm(すなわち、W8 /W6 =W9 /W6 ≒0.22)を挙げることができる。
【0081】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a head protector for a safety helmet including an outer shell made of a hard material and a head shock absorbing liner disposed inside the outer shell.
[0002]
[Prior art]
A head protector (simply referred to as “cap” in the text) to be worn on the head of a helmet wearer such as a rider such as a motorcycle (hereinafter referred to as “rider”). Conventionally, safety helmets such as a jet type, a semi-jet type, and a full face type are known. Such conventional jet-type, semi-jet type, full-face type helmets typically include a cap body and a pair of left and right chin straps attached to the inside of the cap body, Is configured as follows.
[0003]
That is, the cap body has a notch (in the case of a jet-type or semi-jet type helmet) or a window hole (in the case of a jet-type or semi-jet-type helmet) formed on the front surface so as to face between a forehead portion and a jaw portion (ie, a face) such as a rider. Equipped with a full-face helmet). The jet type or semi-jet type helmet further includes a visor attached to the cap body along the vicinity of the upper edge of the cut. The full-face helmet further includes a shield plate attached to the cap body so as to move between a lower position where the window hole is closed and an upper position where the window hole is opened. Such a shield plate can be provided in place of the visor even in the case of a jet type or semi-jet type helmet. In this case, the shield plate can open and close the cut.
[0004]
The cap body includes an outer shell constituting the outer peripheral wall of the cap body, an edge member, and a backing member attached to the inner peripheral surface of the outer shell by adhesion or the like. The edge member includes an edge of the outer shell so as to squeeze the edge over the entire periphery of the outer shell (including the entire periphery of the window hole in the case of a full-face helmet). It is attached by adhesion etc. The backing member includes a head backing member that faces the frontal head, the top, the left and right side heads, and the back of the head, such as a rider. In the case of a jet type or semi-jet type helmet, the backing member further includes a pair of left and right ear backing members facing the pair of left and right ears such as the lidar, or such The head backing member is integrated with the ear backing member. In the case of a full-face helmet, the backing member further includes a jaw backing member facing the jaw such as the rider.
[0005]
The head backing member includes a head impact absorbing liner and a breathable head backing cover. The head backing cover includes an inner peripheral surface (in some cases, excluding a part of the region facing the top of the head, such as a rider) and a side surface (that is, the inner peripheral surface and the outer peripheral surface). Are attached to the impact-absorbing liner by adhesion or tape fastening so as to cover the peripheral surface of the outer peripheral surface connected to the side surface. This shock absorbing liner is made of a foam of a synthetic resin such as polystyrene, polypropylene, or polyethylene. The jaw backing member also has a structure substantially similar to the head backing member except that the jaw backing member has a shape facing a jaw portion such as a rider. If necessary, a pair of left and right block-shaped interior pads are bonded to a part of the inner peripheral surface of the shock absorbing liner for the jaw (for example, two regions facing the left and right cheeks such as a rider). Yes. Therefore, these block-shaped interior pads are arranged between the jaw impact absorbing liner and the jaw backing cover. The ear backing member also has a structure substantially similar to that of the head backing member or jaw backing member except that the ear backing member has a shape facing the ear portion such as a rider.
[0006]
In a conventional safety helmet typically configured as described above, when an impact is applied to a portion of the outer shell, the outer shell disperses the impact over the wide area and deforms it. It works to absorb impact energy. The impact absorbing liner absorbs impact energy propagating from the outer shell by deformation of its outer shape, absorbs the impact energy by reducing its thickness (ie, compression), and applies this impact to the head of a rider or the like. By delaying the propagation of energy, the maximum acceleration due to the impact is reduced. In the present text, the “maximum acceleration” means the maximum value of acceleration obtained by the “shock absorption test” of the helmet.
[0007]
In order to confirm the protective performance of the safety helmet, the “shock absorption test” of the helmet as described above has been conventionally performed. In this “shock absorption test”, a metal head model having an accelerometer attached therein is used as a model of the head of the helmet wearer. And the standard regarding the maximum acceleration measured with the said accelerometer is each determined in each country. Also, an index called HIC (Head Injury Criteria) is proposed based on the correlation between the average acceleration at any given time and the time that the value above this average acceleration lasts and the damage to the human brain. Has been. This HIC is defined as follows.
[0008]
[Expression 1]
[0009]
The HIC is said to have a good correlation with the degree of damage in the event of an accident. And P.D.Hope from the Transport and Road Research LaboratoryMrAccording to them, in the case of a motorcycle accident, the probability of death when the HIC is 1,000 is 8.5%, the probability of death when the HIC is 2,000 is 31%, and the probability of death when the HIC is 4,000 is 65%. It is. Therefore, to reduce the degree of damage, it is necessary to lower the HIC.
[0010]
As described above, in order to improve the protection performance of the safety helmet, it is necessary to reduce both the maximum acceleration due to impact and the HIC. For this reason, conventionally, the maximum acceleration and the HIC are reduced by increasing the thickness of the shock absorbing liner.
[0011]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, merely increasing the thickness of the shock absorbing liner is not only insufficient in reducing the maximum acceleration, but it is particularly difficult to reduce the HIC. This is because the HIC includes a time during which acceleration exceeding a certain value continues, so even if the maximum acceleration can be reduced somewhat by the cushioning action of the shock absorbing liner, the time during which acceleration exceeding the certain value continues is shortened. This is not possible and therefore the HIC cannot be reduced.
[0012]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
Therefore, the main object of the present invention is to provide a safety helmet that can effectively reduce both the maximum acceleration and HIC during impact without particularly reducing the rigidity of the entire head shock absorbing liner. Is to provide a cap body.
[0013]
Another object of the present invention is to provide a cap body for a safety helmet that can be well ventilated.
[0014]
The present inventionIs thatAccording to one aspect, in the head protector for a safety helmet comprising an outer shell made of a hard material and a head shock absorbing liner disposed inside the outer shell, the shock absorbing liner A main liner member and an inner auxiliary liner member having a lower density than the main liner member;WithAn inner recess is provided on the inner peripheral surface of the main liner member, and the inner auxiliary liner member is provided in the inner recess. The length in the front-rear direction of the predetermined region provided with the inner recess is determined on the projected view of the bottom surface of the shock absorbing liner when the head protector in the normal wearing posture is projected on the horizontal plane. It is 40 to 80% of the length in the front-rear direction of the head mounting space of the shock absorbing liner, and the length in the left-right direction of the predetermined region is the head mounting space of the shock absorbing liner in the projection view. 45 to 85% of the length in the left-right direction, the length in the front-rear direction between the front end of the head-mounted space and the front end of the predetermined region, the rear end of the head-mounted space and the predetermined region The length in the front-rear direction between the rear end and the rear end is 10 to 30% of the length in the front-rear direction of the head-mounted space on the projection, respectively, In the left-right direction between the left end of the predetermined area The length and the length in the left-right direction between the right end of the head-mounted space and the right end of the predetermined area are respectively the length in the left-right direction of the head-mounted space on the projection view. The present invention relates to a head protector for a safety helmet characterized by being 8 to 28%.In this case, the density of the main liner member is preferably 20 to 80 g / liter, more preferably 30 to 70 g / liter, and the density of the inner auxiliary liner member is 5 to 50 g / liter. It is preferable that it is 10-40 g / liter. Furthermore, the depth of the inner concave portion is preferably not more than half the original thickness of the shock absorbing liner and not less than 5 mm, more preferably 10 to 20 mm.
[0015]
The thickness T of the inner auxiliary liner member is preferably D to (D + 10 mm), and more preferably (D + 3 mm) to (D + 7 mm), where D is the depth of the inner recess. Further, the original thickness of the main liner member when it is assumed that the inner concave portion is not provided is preferably 15 to 55 mm, and more preferably 25 to 45 mm. Furthermore, it is preferable that the inner recess is provided in a predetermined region that includes at least the top of the inner peripheral surface of the main liner member and does not substantially include at least the forehead. More preferably, the shock absorbing liner is formed only near the top of the inner peripheral surface of the shock absorbing liner.
[0016]
In addition, the inner recess is approximately oval or approximately oval long in the front-rear direction of the head protector, or is approximately oval, and is generally oval, approximately oval or approximately oval. The oval inner recess is preferably inscribed in the predetermined area. Further, the length in the front-rear direction and the length in the left-right direction of the inner auxiliary liner member are respectively on the projected view of the bottom surface of the shock absorption liner when the head protector in the normal wearing posture is projected onto the horizontal plane. It is preferably 60 to 100%, more preferably 75 to 100% of the length in the front-rear direction and the length in the left-right direction of the inner recess. Further, the length of the predetermined region in the front-rear direction is preferably 80 to 200 mm, more preferably 100 to 160 mm, and the length of the predetermined region in the left-right direction is In the above projection view, it is preferably 70 to 170 mm, and more preferably 90 to 140 mm.
[0017]

Furthermore, the average depth of the outer recess is preferably 5 mm or more, more preferably 10 to 20 mm, which is half or less of the original average thickness of the shock absorbing liner.
[0018]
Further, the original thickness of the main liner member when it is assumed that the inner recess and the outer recess are not provided is preferably 15 to 55 mm, and more preferably 25 to 45 mm. Furthermore, the thickness of the inner liner surface and the outer peripheral surface of the main liner member where the inner and outer recesses are respectively formed is preferably 20 to 70% of the original thickness of the main liner member. 30 to 60% is more preferable.
[0019]
The outer concave portion is provided in a second predetermined region that includes the frontal head, the top of the head, and the back of the inner peripheral surface of the main liner member and does not substantially include the right and left heads. Is preferred. Further, a vent hole is preferably formed between the main liner member and the outer auxiliary liner member, and communication means for communicating the vent hole with the outer peripheral surface of the top portion of the outer shell; More preferably, communication means is provided for communicating the pores with the head mounting space of the shock absorbing liner. Further, the outer recess is preferably shallow in a region generally facing the inner recess and deep in other regions.
