従来から、カード搬送路に情報記憶カードを搬送しつつ、カードに設けられた磁気ストライプやバーコード、ホログラムなどからなる情報記憶部にアクセスヘッドをもってアクセスして情報の授受を行うためのリーダライタに於て、上記ヘッドをカードのデータトラック上に確実に走査させるためにカードの幅寄せ構造が設けられている。これは実際にはヘッドの位置をカードの一側縁の基準面に摺接させるべくこれと相反する側縁側から付勢するものである。

一方、従来の幅寄せ構造では上記付勢力やカードの搬送力などによってはカードが基準面から離れてしまうことから、付勢用のばねの荷重管理等が厄介であった。

そこで、本願と同一出願人により、特願平8−126505号(特開平9−288719号)明細書にて、カード搬送路にてカードをその搬送方向と直する幅方向に押圧するべくばね付勢された押圧部材とカードへのアクセスヘッドとを一体化すること提案されている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】

上述した目的は本発明によれば、カード搬送路1aにて情報記憶カードCをその搬送方向と直交する幅方向にばね手段20をもって押圧付勢する押圧部材16と、該押圧部材と一体結合されたアクセスヘッド2と、前記押圧部材及び前記アクセスヘッドの支持部を備え且つ該支持部が前記情報記憶カードの搬送方向と直交する幅方向に移動可能なるように当該リーダライタ本体(ケーシング1)に支持されたベース部材18bとを有し、前記カード搬送路に前記情報記憶カードを搬送しつつその情報記憶部にアクセスヘッドをもってアクセスして情報の授受を行うためのリーダライタのカード幅寄せ構造であって、前記押圧部材及び前記アクセスヘッドは、前記情報記憶カードの主面と平行な平面内で傾動可能なるように前記ベース部材に支持されていることを特徴とするリーダライタのカード幅寄せ構造を提供することにより達成される。

以下に、本発明の好適な実施形態について添付の図面を参照して詳しく説明する。

また、可動部材18aはベース部材18bを介してばね19、20をもってアクセスヘッド2がカードCの主面に近接する方向及びカード押圧部材16がカードCの一方の側縁に当接する方向に付勢されている。これにより、アクセスヘッド2がカードCの主面に確実に当接し、またカード押圧部材16がカードCの一側縁に確実に当接してカードCの情報記憶部とアクセスヘッド2とが確実に正対する。
