本発明は、合成樹脂製カバンに関するもので、合成樹脂で一体成型されるシェルとも称されている箱状本体と、同材質略同形の蓋体とを、一辺でヒンジ連結してカバンを構成する合成樹脂製カバンに関するものである。

【従来の技術】
従来、スーツケースやキャスターバッグ等に、箱状本体と箱状蓋体とを合成樹脂で成型したものを使用し、その一辺どうしをヒンジ連結するものが汎用されている。そして、最近では、この種合成樹脂製カバンを、リュックサックや手提げカバン、さらにはポシェットやウエストポーチ等の比較的小型なカバンにも応用されるようになってきている。

この種、合成樹脂製カバンの代表的な従来例を、図4を参照にして説明すると、先ず、金属枠製の中央メインフレーム71と、同じく金属枠製の中央サブフレーム72と、合成樹脂で一体成型した箱状のカバン本体10と、同材質略同形の蓋体20とで構成され、カバン本体10の開口縁部10aには中央メインフレーム71が、図5に示すように、鋲74で鋲着され、蓋体20には中央サブフレーム72が鋲74で鋲着され、中央メインフレーム71と中央サブフレーム72との外面側(図5では、同図の下方側がカバンの外面側となる。)には、鋲着部を覆うカバー帯73、73が被せられている。

上記カバン本体10と蓋体20とは、一辺(図4の左奥側辺部)部位が、図示していない蝶番等で枢着され、カバン本体10と蓋体20と両者の開口部が合わさって、カバン本体10に蓋体20が閉じ合わさるようにしてある。上記枢着される辺と対向する辺側には、中央サブフレーム72側に係合フック片75(図5参照)を、中央メインフレーム71側に前記係合フック片75を着脱可能に係止する係合着脱機構部76を設けてある。

すなわち、従来のこの種合成樹脂製カバンは、所定の強度を有した中央メインフレーム71及び中央サブフレーム72と、この両者を着脱可能に係合する係合フック片75と係合着脱機構部76とが必要となる。さらに、体裁上、カバー帯73、73が必要となり、これらの部品で全体が重くなるという問題点を有している。この間題点を解決すべく、中央メインフレーム71と中央サブフレーム72とを改良する提案が種々行われており、例えば、特許文献1には、前記中央サブフレーム72は省略し、中央メインフレームを組み立て式の合成樹脂材で成型し、この中央メインフレームには全周に渡って補強リブを設けることで、強靱性は損なわずに肉薄で軽量化できるようにしたものが提案されている。

上記合成樹脂製の中央メインフレームは充分な強度が得られ、軽量化も可能であることは容易に理解でき、スーツケース等の大型の合成樹脂製カバンには歓迎される提案であるが、キャスターバッグ等の比較的小型なカバンでは、なお、軽量化が要望されるもので、これら従来例の軽量化の最大の注目点は、どうしても金属部品を多く使用する必要性のある、図4及び図5に示す係合着脱機構部76であるとされている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
そこで、本発明は、上記問題点に鑑みなされたもので、軽量化のために中央フレームを省略し、係合着脱機構部を軽量化が容易なスライドファスナーで代用した合成樹脂製カバンを提供することを課題としたものである。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明は、上記課題を達成するために、工業用ミシンの針が貫通できる合成樹脂材で成型した箱状のカバン本体10と、同じく前記合成樹脂材で成型した箱状の蓋体20とを、両者の開口縁部10a、20aの一辺11、21どうしを枢着してなる合成樹脂製カバンにおいて、上記カバン本体10の枢着部を除く開口縁部10aに、ゴム又は軟質合成樹脂で成型され、内面部31と外面部32とが略二つ折り状に連設された縁取体30aを、その内面部31と外面部32との間に開口縁部10aが挟み込まれるようにして設け、また、上記蓋体20の枢着部を除く開口縁部20aにも、ゴム又は軟質合成樹脂で成型され、内面部31と外面部32とが略二つ折り状に連設された縁取体30bを、その内面部31と外面部32との間に開口縁部20aが挟み込まれるようにして設け、上記両縁取体30a、30bの外面部32、32の先端には、先端側を該縁取体30a、30bの二つ折り部34、34側に折り返し、該二つ折り部34、34の外端面にまでは達しないように延設するカバー面部33、33を夫々連設し、両カバー面部33、33の間に、スライドフ ァスナー40のスライダーが通る間隙Sを形成し該二つ折り部34は前記カバー面部33より低段面となるようにしてその上方にスライドファスナーの務歯部42a、42bが位置するようにし、上記カバン本体10の縁取体30aの外面部32とカバー面部33との間には、スライドファスナー40の一方側テープ部41aを差し込み、内面部3と開口縁部10aとの間には内張生地50の端部と、前記カバン本体19を奥側と開口部側とに仕切ると共に内蓋としての機能を有する仕切り生地51の端部とを差し込み、前記カバー面部33を捲り上げた状態でこの一方側テープ部41aと、外面部32と、開口縁部10aと、内張生地50と、仕切り生地51と、内面部31との重合部を縫い糸60で縫合してこのカバー面部33を元に戻し、上記蓋体20の縁取体30bの外面部32とカバー面部33との間には、スライドファスナー40の他方側テープ部41bを差し込み、内面部31とカバン本体10の開口縁部10aとの間には内張生地50の端部を差し込み、前記カバー面部33を捲り上げた状態でこの他方側テープ部41aと、外面部32と、開口縁部20aと、内張生地50と、内面部31との重合部を縫い糸60で縫合してこのカバー面部33を元に戻し、上記縁取体30aの二つ折り部34側の外端面には凹溝部34aを、縁取体30bの二つ折り部34側の外端面には、前記凹溝部34a内に嵌り込む凸条部34bを設け、さらに、前記仕切り生地51には平面コの字状のファスナー開閉部52を設けたことを特徴とする技術的手段を講じたものである。

【実施例】
次に、本発明の第1実施例を添付図面を参照して詳細に説明する。図1乃至図3の実施例は、キャスターバッグでの実施例で、図には現れていないが、図1の下部の奥側に車輪が取り付けられ、伸縮可能な引き手ハンドル101を握持して該車輪を転動させて引くことができるようにし、かつ提手102、103のいずれか一方を握持し、手に提げて使用することもできるようにしたものである。なお、本発明は、その他の、例えば、リュックサック式のもの、手提げカバン方式のもの、ポシェットのように肩等に掛ける方式のもの、ウエストポーチのように使用者の体に括りつけるもの等、あらゆる方式のものであっても無論差し支え無いものである。

図中、10がカバン本体、20が蓋体である。このカバン本体10と蓋体20とは、合成樹脂(本実施例では、ポリカーボネート)で一体成型され、従来と同様に箱状(シェル状ともいう。)に構成され、両者の開口縁部10a、20aの一辺11、21どうしを枢着(ヒンジ連結)してなるのは従来と同じである。なお、一般的には、カバン本体10が蓋体20よりその深さを深く構成されるが、この深さの相違は特に問題とするものではなく、いずれか一方を深くしたり、同じ深さとしてもよい。なお、カバン本体10と蓋体20とは、あまりに硬質な合成樹脂を使用すると、後記する縫い糸60による縫合が不可能となる場合があるので、工業用ミシンの針が貫通できる合成樹脂材を使用するのは無論である。

なお、開口縁部10a、20aの一辺11、21どうしを枢着するには、通常、図示されていない蝶番が使用されるが、必ずしも蝶番を使用する必要性はなく、所定幅の可曲性生地材の一辺側を開口縁部10aの一辺の縁に沿って、他辺側を開口縁部20aの一辺の縁に沿って縫着等で連結しても差し支えないものである。

また、上記蓋体20の枢着部を除く開口縁部20aにも、ゴム又は軟質合成樹脂で成型され、内面部31と外面部32とが略二つ折り状に連設された縁取体30bを、その内面部31と外面部32との間に開口縁部20aが挟み込まれるようにして設けてある。この縁取体30bは前記した縁取体30aと略同一のものを同様にして配設すればよい。なお、図示例では、この縁取体30bの二つ折り部34の先端外面に前記凹溝部34a内に嵌り込む凸条部34bを設けてあるが、この凹溝部34aと凸条部34bとは、本発明では必須のものではなく、両者を省略することで、縁取体30aと縁取体30bとは同一断面形状とすることができる。なお、図3において、縁取体30aと縁取体30bとの双方の内面部31、31は厚みが異なるように表してあるが、これは、作図上の都合によるもので、後記する内張生地50と、仕切り生地51とは、図よりは極端に薄い生地で充分であるので、縁取体30a、30bの伸縮許容範囲内に収まるものであるから、該縁取体30a、30bは同一断面形状としても実用上差し支えないものである。

上記両縁取体30a、30bの外面部32の先端には、先端側を該縁取体30の二つ折り部側に折り返して延設するカバー面部33を夫々連設してある。すなわち、縁取体30a、30bは、内面部31と外面部32とカバー面部33とで、断面略Z字状に三つ折りされた形状に構成してなり、図3の右側の縁取体30aでさらに説明すると、内面部31と外面部32とは左側端の二つ折り部34で連結され、外面部32の先端(図右端)からはカバー面部33が、二つ折り部34側に向けて折り返されている。なお、カバー面部33の先端(図3左端)は、二つ折り部34の外端面(図3左端面)にまでは達しないように構成し、カバン本体10と蓋体20と併せた際(両縁取体30a、30bの二つ折り部34、34の外面端部どうしが接触した際)に、両縁取体30a、30bのカバー面部33、33間に、後記するスライドファスナー40の、図では省略したスライダーが通る間隙S(図3参照)が確保されるようにしてある。また、同図3に最も明らかに示すように、両縁取体30a、30bの二つ折り部34は、カバー面部33より低段面となるようにし、その上方にスライドファスナー40の務歯部42a、42bが位置するようにすると、上記スライダーの移動に支障とならないものである。

本発明は、カバン本体10と蓋体20との着脱可能な係止を、スライドファスナー40にしたため、従来の錠止装置のような重たい係止金具の使用が回避でき、軽量な合成樹脂製カバンを提供できるものである。
