【発明の属する技術分野】
この発明は、コンクリート製に代わるプラスチック製のU形側溝に関し、側溝の外側面に補強のためのリブを一体成形することにより、軽量で、かつ、耐久性に富むようにするとともに、U字形側溝の両端部に互いに嵌合しあう継ぎ手構造を一体成形することにより、側溝を連接するときの施工が容易になるようにしたことを特長とするものである。

【従来の技術】
U形側溝には、従来よりコンクリート製のものが通常使用されているが、近年例えば実開平5−287793号公報あるいは特開平8−232334号公報のようにプラスチック製のものが開発され、使用されるようになった。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
従来のプラスチック製U形側溝の前者(実開平5−287793号)は、側溝本体の外側にU形に沿う補強リブ20を配置したのみなので、十分な強度を得るためにはリブの間隔を密にしたり、全体として肉厚に成形する必要があって、材料消費量と重量が嵩むとともに、長さ方向の剛性に劣る欠点がある。

後者(特開平8−232334号)は、側面が二重構造なので、前者に比べれば軽量化が図れるが、内壁と外壁の間に中空部を形成し、更に中空部を横断する縦リブを配設するので、一体成形し難いという技術的な困難がある。
そのために、より軽量化する一方で強度を向上させ、耐久性を増すようにすることがこの種のプラスチック製U形側溝において、解決すべき課題となっていた。

【課題を解決するための手段】
そこで本発明は、側溝本体の両上縁に、外側に適宜の幅で張り出すフランジを設け、側溝本体の両端と、外側面に、長さ方向に適宜の間隔をおいて配置され、上端をフランジの裏面に連続させて、側溝本体の外側面に沿う縦リブを設け、側溝本体の底部裏面に、長さ方向に沿い縦リブと交差して左右対称位置に具えられた底リブを設け、側溝本体の両外側面の中間に、フランジと平行し、縦リブと交差して側溝本体の長さ方向に沿い、先端が下方に折り曲げられた断面L字形の横リブを設け、また、前記側溝本体の両上縁の内面に、長さ方向に沿って適宜の間隔をおいて内方に向かって開口する溝蓋掛止用の嵌合凹部を設け、前記各縦リブ間には、上端を前記横リブの裏面に連続させ、前記底リブと交差する補 助縦リブを設け、さらに、側溝本体の一方の端部に、側溝本体の内面に連続してU字形をなし、長さ方向に適宜の長さに突出する接続凸部を設け、他方の端部に、側溝本体の内面に連続してU字形の前記接続凸部を嵌合するようにU字形をなすとともに、嵌合するU字形の接続凸部の外周に沿うようにパッキング嵌合用のU字形の溝を具えた嵌合凹部を設けたプラスチック製U形側溝を提供するものである。

このU形側溝は、側溝本体の両上縁に具えたフランジと、外側面に設けられて互いに縦横に交差する縦リブと底リブと先端を下方に折り曲げて断面L字形とした横リブとで十分に補強されているので、U形をなす側溝本体の肉厚を比較的に薄くしても使用に十分な強度を備えたものとなり、プラスチック製の従来品に較べてもさらに軽量化し、耐久性を具えたものとすることができる。

そして、本発明のU形側溝に、内方に向かって開口する溝蓋掛止用の嵌合凹部を側溝本体の両上縁の内面に設けることにより、側溝に被せた溝蓋の妄動を防止して安定した被覆ができる。また、横リブの裏面に連続して底リブと交差する補助縦リブを設けることにより、長さ方向と横断方向の強度が一層強化される。さらに、側溝の一方の端部に、U字形の接続凸部を設け、他方の端部に、パッキング嵌合用のU字形の溝を具えたU字形の嵌合凹部を設けることにより、U字形側溝の両端部に互いに嵌合し合う継ぎ手構造が一体成形されているので、側溝を連設するときの施工が容易となり、継ぎ目の防水もできる。

図1に示す本発明のU形側溝は、各部を一体成形したプラスチック製で、横断面U形をなす側溝本体1は、該本体1の両上縁に設けられて、外側に適宜の幅で張り出すフランジ2と、側溝本体1の両端と、外側面に、長さ方向に適宜の間隔をおいて配置された縦リブ3と、側溝本体1の両外側面の中間に、縦リブ3と交差して側溝本体1の長さ方向に沿い、かつ、先端を下方に折り曲げて断面L字形に形成した横リブ4とを具えている。

【発明の効果】
以上のように、本発明によれば、U形をなす側溝本体の外側に、フランジと縦、横、底の各リブを縦横に、かつ、互いに交差させて一体成形したので、剛性に富むとともに必要な強度を十分に備えて、最大限の軽量化ができ、かつ、一体成形が容易なプラスチック製U形側溝を提供し得るのみならず、側溝本体の一方の端部に、側溝本体の内面に連続してU字形をなし、長さ方向に適宜の長さに突出する接続凸部を設け、他方の端部に、側溝本体の内面に連続してU字形の上記接続凸部を嵌合するようにU字形をなして、嵌合するU字形の接続凸部の外周に沿うようにパッキング嵌合用のU字形の溝を具えた嵌合凹部を設けて、U形側溝の両端部に互いに嵌合し合って連続し得るようにした継手構造を一体成形したので、側溝を連設するときの施工を容易にし、継ぎ目の防水もできるようにすることもできる。
本発明には以上のように優れた効果がある。
