従来、杭打ちを行う場合、図11のように、クレーン10の主巻装置40により杭打機械20を吊り込む。このように杭打機械20を吊り込んだ状態で、補巻装置41により杭材30を吊り上げる。そして、主巻装置40と補巻装置41の交互操作により、杭頭部に杭打機械20をセットし、打設を行っている。

杭打ち込み装置は、図1のように同一のクレーン10のフック12に杭打機械20と杭材30を吊り下げる。杭打機械20は杭打機械用ワイヤー21に吊り下げられ、杭材30は杭材用ワイヤー31に吊り下げられる。ワイヤー巻き装置11により杭打機械20と杭材30を同時に吊り上げる。杭打機械20としては、例えばバイブロハンマー、油圧ハンマー、ディーゼルハンマーなどがあり、また、杭材30としては、例えば、鋼管杭、鋼管矢板、鋼矢板、コンクリート杭などがある。
