Description
【0001】

[Industrial application fields]
The present invention is a buoyancy cable having excellent bending resistance and trauma resistance used , for example, in a minesweeper.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, as buoyancy cables, those illustrated in FIG. 3 are widely known. In FIG. 3,
[0003]
As a covering material for the buoyancy cable as described above, in order to reduce the specific gravity of the entire cable and maintain the buoyancy of the cable, it is common to use a resin high foam (expansion ratio of 20 times or more) for the
[0004]
However, in such a buoyancy cable, it is necessary to provide an inner sheath of a high resin foam in order to maintain the buoyancy of the cable, and further to provide an outer sheath of high-strength rubber to impart bending resistance. There is a disadvantage that the production efficiency is inferior due to the necessity of the extrusion process.
[0005]
Further, when this type of buoyancy cable is used, the operation such as feeding or winding is repeatedly performed as described above, and the buoyancy cable is rubbed against the edge portion of each part of the device, so that the outer sheath is damaged. In many cases, the quality of the buoyancy cable deteriorates. This is because the high-strength rubber used for the outer sheath exhibits good flex resistance but is inferior in trauma resistance. Under such circumstances, there has been a demand for a coating material that is excellent in both flex resistance and trauma resistance capable of maintaining a cable buoyancy and providing a buoyancy cable with little deterioration.
[0006]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a buoyancy cable having sufficient buoyancy, good production efficiency, and excellent flex resistance and trauma resistance by using a coating material excellent in flex resistance and trauma resistance. There is to do.
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
Such a problem is that, in a buoyancy cable in which a collective sheath is provided on a wire core portion formed by twisting several power wires and optical fiber wires, a polyolefin-based thermoplastic elastomer and polypropylene are added to the collective sheath. This is solved by a buoyancy cable characterized by using a coating material having a specific gravity of 0.89 to 1.0.
[0008]
The present invention will be described in detail below.
The covering material constituting the collective sheath in the buoyancy cable of the present invention will be described. This covering material is composed of an olefin-based thermoplastic elastomer having a flexural modulus of 2,000 to 5,000 kg / cm 2 and a polypropylene having a flexural modulus of 10,000 to 16,000 kg / cm 2 of 9: 1. It is blended at a ratio of ˜6: 4, and its specific gravity is 0.89 to 1.0.
[0009]
Since the coating material blended as described above has a specific gravity of 0.89 to 1, the specific gravity of the entire cable using this coating material can be reduced, and a conventional foam is used. It is possible to maintain the buoyancy of the cable without providing an inner sheath.
[0010]
In addition, the coating material described above is superior in both flex resistance and trauma resistance by blending and using an olefinic thermoplastic elastomer having excellent flex resistance and polypropylene having excellent trauma resistance. It is. Therefore, when the covering material is used for the sheath of the buoyancy cable, the buoyancy cable can be given bending resistance and damage resistance at the same time, and there is no need to provide a plurality of sheaths as in the prior art.
[0011]
FIG. 1 shows an example of a buoyancy cable using the above-described covering material, and a

It should be noted that the volume of the
[0013]
In the buoyancy cable of the present invention, as described above, by forming the collective sheath using the covering material having a specific gravity of 0.89 to 1.0, the specific gravity of the entire cable can be reduced, It is possible to maintain buoyancy.
[0014]
In addition, as described above, since it is not necessary to use a high-resin foam for maintaining buoyancy as in the conventional product, it is not necessary to provide an external sheath again. Therefore, the conventional process of extrusion coating twice is performed once. It can be shortened, and the production efficiency can be greatly improved.
[0015]
In order to obtain excellent trauma resistance and bend resistance similar to the high strength rubber in the conventional product, the coating material formed by blending a polyolefin-based thermoplastic elastomer and polyethylene is used for the collective sheath described above. it is desirable, among them, it is most preferred that the flexural modulus is 2,000~5,000kg / cm 2 of the olefinic thermoplastic elastomer and a flexural modulus of polypropylene is used for 10,000~16,000kg / cm 2 .
[0016]
In addition, it is possible to use a polyolefin-based thermoplastic elastomer or polyethylene alone for the collective sheath, and any of them is expected to have better damage resistance than conventional high-strength rubber.
[0017]
Further, the buoyancy cable of the present invention is not limited to the structure shown in FIG. 1, and the structure shown in FIG. 2 is also suitable as in FIG.
In FIG. 2, a part of the
[0018]
Hereinafter, an example and an effect are clarified by showing a specific example.
(Conventional example)
Several power wires and optical fiber wires are twisted to form a wire core portion, and an inner sheath made of a high-resin resin foam is provided on the surface of the wire core portion. A buoyancy cable was prepared by providing an outer sheath.
(Comparative example)
A buoyancy cable was prepared in the same manner as in the conventional example except that the outer sheath was formed of polyurethane resin (PU).
[0019]
Example 1
A wire core is provided in the same manner as the conventional example, and 75 parts by weight of olefin thermoplastic elastomer (TPO) having a flexural modulus of 4000 kg / cm 2 and polypropylene having a flexural modulus of 16000 kg / cm 2 are formed on the surface of the wire core. A batch sheath was formed using a resin obtained by blending 25 parts by weight of PP), and a buoyancy cable was prepared.
[0020]
(Reference Example 1)
A buoyancy cable was produced in the same manner as in Example 1 except that a single sheath was formed using an olefinic thermoplastic elastomer (TPO) having a flexural modulus of 4000 kg / cm 2 alone.
[0021]
(Reference Example 2)
A buoyancy cable was produced in the same manner as in Example 1 except that polypropylene (PP) having a flexural modulus of 16000 kg / cm 2 was used alone to form a batch sheath.
[0022]
Specific gravity, tensile strength, elongation, hardness, embrittlement temperature, and bending resistance were measured for the above-described conventional examples, comparative examples, examples and reference examples , and the results are shown in Table 1.
For the measurement of hardness, a JIS soft plastic durometer A type (needle load 822 g) was used.
[0023]
[Table 1]
[0024]
For the above bending resistance, the following test is performed,
Test method: Bending diameter was measured and evaluated according to the following criteria.
Flexibility (R)
◎: R <50cm
○: R <100cm
×: R> 100cm
[0025]
In addition, for the above-described conventional examples, comparative examples, examples and each reference example , the following test on the resistance to trauma was performed,
Test method: NEMA type abrasion tester (reciprocating wear using V-shaped blade)
Conditions: reciprocation distance 10 mm, speed 60 times / min. The results are shown in FIG.
[0026]
From the results shown in Table 1 and FIG. 4, the buoyancy cable of the comparative example is improved in the damage resistance by forming the outer sheath from polyurethane, but the specific gravity of polyurethane is 1.12. It can be seen that the cable is difficult to maintain buoyancy.
[0027]
In Example 1, the specific gravity of the coating material formed by blending the olefinic thermoplastic elastomer and polypropylene used for the collective sheath is 0.91, which is a value within a desirable range, and is resistant to bending and damage. It can also be seen that there is a marked improvement.
In Reference Example 1 , the specific gravity of the olefinic thermoplastic elastomer used for the collective sheath is 0.89, which is a value within a desirable range, and it can be seen that the bending resistance and the damage resistance are remarkably improved. .
[0028]
In Reference Example 2 , the specific gravity of the polypropylene used for the batch sheath is 0.91, which is a value within a desirable range, and particularly excellent in resistance to trauma. It is expected that deterioration will occur after a short period of use due to repeated operations. Further, since polypropylene has a relatively high embrittlement temperature of −5 ° C., it can be seen that a sheath using polypropylene alone is unsuitable for a cable that requires cold resistance.
[0029]
In summary of the above results, Example 1 using a coating material in which an olefinic thermoplastic elastomer and polypropylene were blended so that the specific gravity was 0.91 and the flexural modulus was 5,000 kg / cm 2 was as follows: It was found that buoyancy can be easily maintained and that the film has excellent bending resistance and trauma resistance.
Further, in comparison with the conventional example having a two-layer coating structure, the example in which the collective sheath was provided was able to achieve a remarkable effect in terms of improvement in manufacturing efficiency.
[0030]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, the buoyancy cable of the present invention uses a coating material in which an olefin-based thermoplastic elastomer and polypropylene are blended as a collective sheath and has a specific gravity of 0.89 to 1.0. It is possible to impart excellent bending resistance and trauma resistance and to maintain the buoyancy of the buoyancy cable. Further, since the covering is applied as a collective sheath instead of the conventional two-layer covering structure, the manufacturing process is reduced and the manufacturing efficiency is remarkably improved.
