Description
ブルートゥースはISM(Industrial Scientific Medical)バンドの一つである2.4GHz帯を使用するためユーザーは免許無しで使用可能である。

The present invention relates to a power supply control system, and more particularly to a power supply control system including a predetermined serial interface and a predetermined wireless communication system or optical wireless communication system interface.
[Prior art]
As an interface for mutually connecting AV equipment (for example, VCR (Video Cassette Recorder), STB (Set Top Box), etc.) that handles digital data, there is “IEEE1394 High Performance Serial Bus” (hereinafter abbreviated as IEEE1394). is there.
IEEE 1394 has two types of data transfer modes. One is an asynchronous transfer mode used for normal data transfer, and the other is a synchronous transfer mode in which data transfer is guaranteed within a predetermined time (for example, 125 microseconds). It is. For example, in a multimedia system combined with the above AV equipment, the asynchronous transfer mode is used for transferring a command or the like in which the time delay of transfer does not matter so much, and the synchronous transfer mode is a video or audio data in which the time delay is a problem. Used for transfer.
An AV device equipped with IEEE 1394 is determined to have a 64-bit Node Unique Id, which is different for each device, in a memory called Device ROM for storing device information. Therefore, identification of individual devices is easy.
There is an “AV / C digital interface command set general specification” (hereinafter, a command based on this specification is abbreviated as an AV / C command) defined by 1394TA (Trade Association) as a specification for controlling AV equipment with IEEE 1394. . In the specification, it is determined to transmit a command using the AV / C command frame shown in FIG. The asynchronous transfer mode is used for AV / C command frame transfer.
Next, the AV / C command frame shown in FIG. 9 will be described. “0000” indicates that the command set is an AV / C digital interface command set. “Ctype” indicates a command type (Table 1).
[Table 1]
“Subunit type” indicates the type of the subunit (Table 2). For example, 5 indicates a tuner.
[Table 2]
Furthermore, “subunit ID” is an identification number among the subunits (Table 3), and up to five of the subunits can be identified.
[Table 3]
The “subunit type” and “subunit ID” are collectively referred to as an AV / C address (Table 4).
[Table 4]
Furthermore, “opcode” indicates the content of the command, and “operand [0] to [n]” indicate parameters attached to the “opcode”. For example, opcode = B2 16 and operand = 70 16 represent power-on (Table 5).
[Table 5]
Next, units and subunits used in IEEE 1394 will be described (FIG. 10). A unit represents one AV device, and a subunit represents a functional unit in the AV device. For example, FIG. 7 shows an example of a VCR. Usually, a VCR has both a tuner portion and a tape recorder / player portion. The VCR is a unit, and the tuner and the tape recorder / player are subunits. Note that AV / C commands can be sent not only to units but also to subunits. For example, when subunit type = 1F 16 , subunit ID = 7, opcode = B2 16 , and operand = 70 16 are sent to the VCR, the entire VCR is powered on. On the other hand, when subunit type = 5, subunit ID = 0, opcode = B2 16 , and operand = 70 16 are sent to the VCR, the tuner portion in the VCR is powered on.
Incidentally, “Bluetooth” is one of short-range wireless communication systems. Since Bluetooth uses the 2.4 GHz band which is one of the ISM (Industrial Scientific Medical) bands, the user can use it without a license. In addition, since the frequency hopping method, which is one of spectrum spread, is used for modulation, it is resistant to radio wave interference with other devices. Furthermore, the power consumption is kept low because the standard was formulated in consideration of short-range communication of about 10 m to 100 m and mounting on a small portable device.
In Bluetooth, one master and up to seven slaves can form a wireless communication network (FIG. 12). This wireless communication network is called a piconet. Individual devices participating in the network can be easily identified by the identification number of each device, which is a 48-bit Bluetooth address.
As described above, Bluetooth has characteristics suitable for controlling AV equipment.
FIG. 2 is a diagram illustrating a connection example when a plurality of AV devices (in this case, AV devices A to E) are connected to each other via a serial interface. 6 is a processing step of the controller (AV device A) 100-a, FIG. 7 is a processing step of the repeater (AV device E) 100-e, and FIG. 8 is a processing step of the target (AV device C) 100-c. It is a flowchart which shows.
First, a power-on command to the target (AV device C) 100-c is input to the controller (AV device A) 100-a (FIG. 6, processing step 300). The controller (AV device A) 100-a checks whether the target (AV device C) 100-c exists on the serial interface (FIG. 6, processing step 301). In this case, if the power of the serial interface circuit 102-c of the target (AV device C) 100-c is not supplied or is not actually connected to the serial interface, the target is displayed on the serial interface. Since 100-c does not exist, the processing ends (FIG. 6, processing
Next, the relay device (AV device E) 100-e that receives the power-on command from the serial interface connector 102-e to the target (AV device C) 100-c (FIG. 7, processing step 311) is the serial interface connector. A power-on command is transmitted from 104-e to the target (AV device C) 100-c (FIG. 7, processing step 312).
The target (AV device C) 100-c that has received the power-on command from the serial interface connector 102-c to the target (AV device C) 100-c (FIG. 8, processing step 330) turns on the power of its own device. (FIG. 8, process step 331).
Assume that the target (AV device C) 100-c is a device in which the power to the serial interface circuit 101-c is also turned off in conjunction with the power-off of the main body.
When the main unit power is off, the target (AV device C) 100-c does not exist on the serial interface, and therefore cannot receive a command from the controller (AV device A) 100-a (FIG. 6, processing
On the other hand, it is assumed that the target (AV device C) 100-c is a device in which the power to the serial interface circuit 101-c is always on regardless of whether the power of the main body is off. Even when the main power is off, the target (AV device C) 100-c can receive a command from the controller (AV device A) 100-a. However, even when the main body of the target (AV device C) 100-c is turned off, the serial interface circuit 101-c consumes power.
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
In the case of a device in which the power switch of the main body and the power supply unit of the serial interface circuit are turned off in conjunction with each other, there is a problem that a command sent through the serial interface cannot be received when the main body is turned off.
Also, if the serial interface circuit is always turned on regardless of the power switch status of the main unit, commands sent through the serial interface can be received even when the main unit is turned off. There was a problem of ending up.
Therefore, according to the present invention, the protocol converter converts the power-on command for the target device transmitted over the serial interface into a power-on signal based on the wireless communication system or the optical wireless communication system, and transmits it. Only the power of the port part of the wireless communication system or optical wireless communication system of the target device is ON, and the other parts are in a so-called standby state in which the power is off. The power is also turned on. Accordingly, it is an object of the present invention to provide a power supply control system that realizes an AV system that can receive a command even in a standby state in which the power of the main body is turned off and can suppress wasteful power consumption.
In general, the power consumption of the wireless reception circuit in the wireless communication system or the optical wireless communication system is smaller than the power consumption of the serial interface circuit.
[Means for Solving the Problems]
To achieve the above object, a controller device having a predetermined serial interface port, a protocol converter having a predetermined serial interface port, a predetermined wireless communication system or optical wireless communication system port, and a predetermined serial interface One or more target devices each having a port and the predetermined wireless communication method or optical wireless communication method port, the controller device, the protocol converter, and the protocol converter and the target device. Are each connected by the serial interface port, the power control system for controlling the power of the target device, wherein the target device is powered except for the port of the predetermined wireless communication method or the optical wireless communication method Standby state that is off In some cases, when the protocol converter receives a power on / off command for turning on / off the target device from the controller device via the predetermined serial interface port, the protocol conversion is performed. The device transmits a power on / off signal for turning on / off the target device by the predetermined wireless communication method or the optical wireless communication method to the target device, A power supply control system is provided in which the power supply other than the predetermined wireless communication system or optical wireless communication system port is turned on by receiving the power on / off signal.
The protocol converter includes a first identification number indicating the target device connected to the predetermined serial interface port, and a second identification number indicating the predetermined wireless communication method or the optical wireless communication method. The power supply control system according to

When the target (AV device C) 100-c exists on the serial interface (FIG. 3, branch at step 201), the power from the serial interface connector 102-a to the target (AV device C) 100-c. An ON command is transmitted (FIG. 3, processing step 206). It is assumed that the target device is in a standby state.
On the other hand, if the target (AV device C) 100-c does not exist on the serial interface (FIG. 3, processing
At this time, if the protocol converter 100-d does not exist on the serial interface (FIG. 3, processing
On the other hand, when the protocol converter 100-d exists on the serial interface (FIG. 3, processing
Then, the protocol converter 100-d receives the inquiry about the identification number Sc on the serial interface (FIG. 4B, processing step 220), and the identification number Sc on the serial interface is registered in the identification number comparison table 120-d. (FIG. 4B, processing step 221). If it is not registered (FIG. 4B, processing
At this time, when there is no identification number Pc in the protocol converter corresponding to the identification number Sc of the target (AV device C) 100-c for the protocol converter 100-d (FIG. 3, processing
On the other hand, when there is an identification number Pc in the protocol converter corresponding to the identification number Sc of the target (AV device C) 100-c for the protocol converter 100-d (FIG. 3, processing
Next, the protocol converter 100-d receives a power-on command directed to the identification number Pc in the protocol converter from the serial interface connector 102-d (FIG. 4A, processing step 210). The identification number Wc on the wireless communication system or optical wireless communication system corresponding to the identification number Pc in the protocol converter is acquired from the identification number comparison table (102-d) (FIG. 4A, processing step 211). A power-on command is transmitted to the identification number Wc on the wireless communication system or the optical wireless communication system from the signal transmission means 110-d of the wireless communication system or the optical wireless communication system (FIG. 4A, processing step 212).
The target (AV device C) 100-c that has received the power-on command from the signal receiving means 110-c of the wireless communication method or the optical wireless communication method to the target (AV device C) 100-c (FIG. 5, processing step 230). Turns on the power of its own device (FIG. 5, processing step 231).
Thereafter, the target (AV device C 100-c) can directly receive a command from the serial interface.
Examples of the identification number comparison table are shown in Table 6.
[Table 6]
The identification number on the serial interface, the identification number in the protocol converter, and the identification number of the wireless communication system or optical wireless communication system are associated. For example, the AV device C having the identification number Sc on the serial interface is associated with the identification number Pc in the protocol converter and the identification number Wc of the wireless communication system or the optical wireless communication system.
Table 7 is an example of an identification number comparison table using IEEE 1394 as a serial interface and Bluetooth, which is a close proximity wireless communication method, as a wireless communication method or an optical wireless communication method.
[Table 7]
As an identification number on the serial interface, a unique 64-bit Node Unique Id for each IEEE 1394 device, an 8-bit AV / C address defined in the IEEE 1394 AV / C protocol as an identification number in the protocol converter, and wireless communication A 48-bit Bluetooth address of Bluetooth is used as an identification number of the system or optical wireless communication system. By associating an AV / C address that originally indicates a functional unit in the device with another device (FIG. 11), even if the device does not operate IEEE 1394 using an existing AV / C command, the command is transmitted via Bluetooth. It becomes possible.
【The invention's effect】
As described above in detail, in the AV system of the present invention, the protocol converter converts the power-on command for the target device transmitted on the predetermined serial interface into the power-on signal by the wireless communication system or the optical wireless communication system. Then, by transmitting and powering on the target device, it is possible to receive a command even when the main body is turned off, and to suppress wasteful power consumption.
