本発明は、箱状で内部に両吸込型ファンケーシングを有したシロッコ型ファンモータを設けた送風機本体と、この送風機本体の吸込側に設けられる吸込側消音接続口と、前記送風機本体の吐出側に前記両吸込型ファンケーシングの吐出口と連通し設けられる吐出側接続口とを備え、前記送風機本体と吸込側消音接続口の内面に消音材を設けた送風機であって、吸込側消音接続口を送風機本体の内面に向かい順次径大となる傾斜面で形成し、前記吸込側消音接続口内に吸い込まれた空気が前記傾斜面に沿い、前記送風機本体内に拡がりながら流れ込み、前記両吸込型ファンケーシングの両側より吸い込まれる構成としたものであり、シロッコ型ファンモータで発生した騒音は送風機本体の内面に設けた消音材に加え、吸込側消音接続口の内面に設けた消音材により減音されることとなるので、送風機本体の全長を短くすることが可能となり、軽量で施工性を良くすることができ、また、吸込側消音接続口から吸い込まれる空気傾斜面に沿いスムーズに送風機本体内に吸い込まれ、風量低下、騒音発生の防止が図られ、効率を良くすることができるという作用を有する。
