Description
The present invention relates to a method for winding a web, in particular a paper web or a paperboard web, in which the web is passed through a nip between the roll or equivalent and the roll spool or equivalent, and the web is rolled into the roll spool. Take up around.
Often machine reels made by paper machines are cut into component webs by a slitter winder. Create customer rolls or commercial rolls from component webs. In commercial rolls made by a slitter winder, after winding, to cut the paper, the end of the web is automatically fixed to the finished roll for further processing, and the start of the web is the new roll. Fixing to the spool is now increasingly important. This is due to the following facts. To spend a significant portion of the work time of these personnel on slitter winders, roll changes, web threading, and other necessary operations with less personnel than ever before, use tape or equivalent to There is almost no time to manually fix the end or start. Furthermore, rolls that are not fixed at the end cause problems on the conveyor. Furthermore, rolls that are not fixed at the end have the opportunity to come loose before being packaged.
Regarding the prior art, reference is made to Finnish Patent No. 91054, which describes a method and apparatus for automatically cutting and winding up a manufactured web. This patent also proposes a method of fixing the end of the web. In this method, the web is weakened, and an elongated adhesive material is applied to the front and back sides of the weakened portion. However, this prior art method has the problem of delamination, especially for thick paper grades. That is, the paper peels off from the roll or spool despite being fixed with the adhesive. The delamination of the paper means that even though the paper is glued to the spool from one side, the hard paper, especially the paperboard grade paper, is straightened and straightened on the machine reel, It means to tear from the end of the web. In this case, the winding fails completely or it can be folded back to the bottom of the roll. It is also difficult to find exactly how weak the web is when running different grades of paper.
The object of the present invention is a method free from the disadvantages of the methods according to the prior art, whereby the end of the web can be fixed easily, reliably and automatically on the roll and spool respectively. Is to provide a method.
In particular, it is an object of the present invention to create a method that is suitable for use with a slitter winder when the slitter winder slows down and stops due to roll changes.
The method according to the present invention has the following main features. That is, when the roll formed on the spool is completed, both ends of the elongated material web having one adhesive surface in the direction crossing the running direction are fixed to the fixing points of the web. At this time, both ends of the elongated material are positioned at the fixed points on the web so that the distance between the two fixed points in the running direction of the web is shorter than the length of the elongated material in the running direction of the web.
According to the present invention, the elongated material having one adhesive surface is fixed to the surface of the web, and the length of the elongated material in the running direction of the web is greater than the distance between the fixing points. The web is then cut at an appropriate point between the fixed points. This is followed by cutting an elongated material with one adhesive surface, one piece securing the end of the web to the finished roll, and the other piece attaching the starting end of the web to a new roll spool or equivalent. Secure to.
According to the present invention, the slitter winder is stopped for roll change and an elongated material having one adhesive surface, preferably a single-sided tape, is secured to two areas of the web surface that are separated from each other. After this, the web is cut between the fixed points of the tape. Since the length of the tape in the direction of web travel is longer than the distance between the fixed points, the “unused” tape is between the ends of the cut web. A portion of this tape is used to secure the end portion of the roll to the roll, and the remaining portion is used to secure the web to the roll spool.
In one embodiment of the invention, the tape is weakened beforehand in that it is scheduled to cut between fixing the end of the roll and fixing the web to the spool.
The fixing by the method of the present invention is reliable. This is because the fixing takes place beyond the cutting area, thus sufficiently eliminating the risk of delamination.
In the following, the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the figures shown in the accompanying drawings, but the present invention is not completely limited to these detailed drawings.
