このような中、組立性の追求と相まって、ブラシや、巻線の電気的接続の手段が、従来から使われていたような、はんだ付けやヒュージングといった工法を使わず、端子同士の圧接により電気的に接続させるといった工法が主流となってきている。ところが先にも述べたように、電動機に流れ込む電流値が増加しているということからも、圧接により行う電気的接続での接点部分を、より確実に、より安全に接続させるといった要望が増加してきている。
