BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a video conference system, and in particular, a television that performs video conference while switching video and audio from a multi-point video conference device displayed on each of the multi-point video conference devices using a multi-control unit. Concerning a conference system.
[0002]
[Prior art]
A conventional video conference in which a multi-point video conference device is connected to a multi-control unit and a video conference is performed while switching video and audio from the multi-point video conference device displayed on each multi-point video conference device. The system roughly has two functions.
[0003]
The first function is a function of automatically switching to the video from the video conference apparatus with the loudest voice input from the video conference apparatuses participating in the conference. For example, as shown in FIG. 7, in a video conference system that performs a video conference using the video conference devices A, B, C, and D at four points, the video from the video conference device B is a video conference at another point. When the voice of the user of the video conference device D becomes loudest while the user of the video conference device B speaks and is displayed on the screens of the devices A, C, and D, the television at another point is displayed. The screen images of the conference apparatuses A, B, and C are automatically switched to the video from the video conference apparatus D. The video of the video conference device used by the conference participant who is speaking is displayed, for example, from the video conference device used by the participant who spoke immediately before.
[0004]
The second function is a function of dividing the monitor screen of each video conference device and displaying the video of each video conference device participating in the conference on one screen. For example, as shown in FIG. 8, in a video conference system that performs a video conference using each of the four video conference devices A, B, C, and D, the monitor screen of each video conference device is divided into four parts. Images from the video conference apparatus at other points are displayed on the three divided screens. There is also a system that displays the video of its own video conference device on the fourth divided screen. However, conventionally, neither of the first and second functions described above can designate and display video from a specific video conference device from each video conference device.
[0005]
Conventionally, in order to send video from a specific video conference device to a video conference device participating in a conference, for example, as shown in FIG. 9, video conference devices A, B, C, and D are respectively connected to the
