本発明は、ラット・マウス等動物の脳内細胞標識物注入実験等における脳の定位装置の調節作業を容易にする脳定位装置及びその微動位置決め装置に関する。

【従来の技術】
従来のラット・マウスの脳定位装置は、図1に示すように動物の外耳道にイヤーバー1を挿入し、上顎を上顎固定金具2に固定して頭蓋の位置を決める構造になっている。このとき、イヤーバーの軸を支点として上顎固定金具の高さを、支柱に沿って上下させることで、脳の位置合わせを行っている。
その際、動物の頭部を正確に位置決めするため、先ず電極aをマニピュレータに取り付け、その先端を測定ポイントとして、頭蓋骨のブレグマの位置を求め、マニピュレータを移動し、ラムダ縫合の位置も求める。
このとき、ラムダ縫合の高さがブレグマと一致することが正確に脳の位置を決めるのに重要で、このために脳定位装置の上顎固定金具の高さを、支柱に沿ってずらし、ブレグマの高さを変える。このとき同時にラムダ縫合の高さも変わるので、再度高さを測り直す。こうしたことを繰り返して、ブレグマ縫合とラムダ縫合の高さを一致させている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
こうした従来の装置では、上顎固定金具の高さを調節するのに、目測あるいは手探りで行っており、行きつ戻りつを繰り返し、数ミクロンあるいは数十ミクロン合わせるのは骨の折れる作業であったという問題点がある。
本発明は、この従来装置の問題点に鑑み、動物の頭蓋の位置を正確且つ迅速に定位させることを可能とし、その作業を時間的、精度的且つ経済的にその向上を図ることができる新規な脳定位装置及びその微動位置決め装置を提供することを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
そのために本発明脳定位装置では、固定台に備えられる支柱に上下動可能に装着される上顎固定金具とイヤーバーとによって、被検体の頭蓋を支持しブレグマ縫合とラムダ縫合の高さ方向位置を定位置に固定するための脳定位装置であって、水平方向に回転する調節摘まみと垂直方向にねじが切られている高さ調節ねじとを有する微動位置決め調節機構を前記支柱の上部に設け、前記調節摘まみの水平方向回転に伴って前記高さ調節ねじにより前記上顎固定金具の上下方向の位置が変化して、前記イヤーバーの支持個所を支点に前記被検体の頭蓋を定位置に固定できるようにしたことを特徴とする。

また、本発明脳定位装置の微動位置決め装置では、固定台と、該固定台に備えられる支柱に上下動可能に装着される上顎固定金具とを備えた脳定位装置の微動位置決め装置であって、水平方向に回転する調節摘まみと垂直方向にねじが切られている高さ調節ねじとを有する微動位置決め調節機構を前記支柱の上部に設け、前記調節摘まみの水平方向回転に伴って前記高さ調節ねじにより前記上顎固定金具の上下方向の位置が変化して、被検体の頭蓋を定位置に固定できるようにしたことを特徴とする。

【発明の実施の形態】
図2に本発明の好ましい実施例を示してある。
図2中符号2が従前公知の上記上顎固定金具であり、固定台3に起立させた支柱4に上下動可能に支持させてある。図示した実施例では、上顎固定金具2に穿った透孔に支柱4を貫通する構成にしてある。
この支柱4の上顎固定金具2より下方位置に拡圧弾圧ばね5を捲回し、上顎固定金具に対して上向きの弾圧力を付与してある。

上記支柱4の上顎固定金具2の上方には、金属円筒、金属多角筒、合成樹脂多角筒等からなる位置調節筒体6を被覆し、その下端を上顎固定金具2に当接させると共に、その上部を支柱4の上端より上方に位置付けてある。
そして上部に調節摘まみ8を有する高さ調節ねじ7を上方から位置調節筒体6内に挿入し且つ支柱4内に螺合し、調節ねじ7の上部に設けた鍔部9を位置調節筒体6の上端に当接させてある。
さらに上記上顎固定金具2の後方部には止めねじ10を有し、この止めねじ10によって上顎固定金具2を支柱4に固定するようにしてある。
そして上記拡圧弾圧ばね5、位置調節筒体6及び高さ調節ねじ7によって、微動位置決め調節機構11を構成してある。

上記の通りの構成からなる本発明微動位置決め装置の作用は次の通りである。先ず操作をする前に止めねじ10を緩めて上顎固定金具2を支柱4に対して上下動可能にしておく、そして高さ調節ねじ7をその調節摘まみ8を摘んで適宜回転すれば、該高さ調節ねじ7が位置調節筒体6を押さえて支柱4内に進入し、該位置調節筒体6が弾圧ばね5の拡圧力に抗して上顎固定金具2を押し下げる。一方調節摘まみ8を逆回転すれば、高さ調節ねじ7が支柱4から進出するから、位置調節筒体6の上顎固定金具2に対する押圧力が解除され、該上顎固定金具2は拡圧弾圧ばね4の拡圧力により押し上げられる。従って上顎固定金具2の上下位置調節がきわめて楽に行える。

【発明の効果】
本発明装置によれば、以下のような効果を有する。
(1)目分量や手探りで位置を決めるのでなく、精度の高い調節がきわめて楽に行える。
(2)正確な位置合わせが可能なことから、実験の成功率が高まり、多くの時間的、経済的節約になる。
(3)装置は脳定位装置の大幅な改良加工を必要としない。
(4)部品交換だけで既存の装置にこの機構を付加することができる。
(5)構造、機構的に特殊なものを使用していないので、他の機種あるいはメーカーの脳定位装置にも互換性を持たせることができる。
