【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a ring-coupled network system, and more particularly to automatic setting of a station address of a communication station on a network.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In general, when transferring data on a network, a station address that identifies the station is set in advance for all stations in the network, and the transmission side specifies the transfer destination by the station address and transmits data. Do.
[0003]
When this station address is set for each station in the network, in a network where the number of connected stations used for connection of process input / output devices is up to about 300, a conventional operator uses a rotary switch or dip in a transmission device serving as a network station. Each station is physically set by operating a switch or the like, or an interface for setting a station address is provided for all stations, and logical setting is performed by a station address setting tool.
[0004]
On the other hand, for the ring-coupled network used in medium and small-scale networks such as connection networks for process input / output devices, this station address setting is not automatically set using a transmission frame but manually. This is proposed in Japanese Laid-Open Patent Publication No. 10-224388.
[0005]
7 and 8 are diagrams showing the operation of each station in the network at the time of generating and setting the station address in the method disclosed in the above publication. FIG. 7 shows the master station transmitting the

Next, the slave station C, which is the next station of the slave station B, receives the frame (Req, IDb) 102 transmitted by the slave station B and determines that this frame is a Req frame. The local station configuration information IDc is added to (next to IDb) and transmitted to the downstream station. Thereafter, each slave station sequentially adds its own station configuration information to the end of the frame and transmits it downstream. Similarly, the most downstream slave station N transmits a frame (Req, IDb, IDc,..., IDn) 2 with its own station configuration information IDn added to the end of the received frame to the downstream station (master station A). .

[0024]
According to the first aspect of the present invention, each slave station checks the transmission storage means whether or not it has transmitted its own station configuration information when receiving the station address setting frame, so that the station address is set during transmission. The station address is not set when not transmitted.

The master station of
[0026]
Further, each slave station comprises information request frame processing means, station address setting frame processing means and station address setting means. When the frame received from the upstream station of the network is the information request frame, the information request frame processing means recognizes the position of the local station on the network from the information in the information request frame, and also includes the information request frame. It adds its own station configuration information and transmits it to the downstream station of the network. When the frame received from the upstream station of the network is the station address setting frame, the station address setting frame processing means sets the position information matching the position recognized by the information request frame processing means in the station address setting frame. The corresponding station address is acquired, and the station address setting frame is transmitted to the downstream station of the network. The station address setting means sets the station address of the own station based on the station address information acquired by the station address setting frame processing means.
[0027]
According to the second aspect of the present invention, in each slave station, when the station address setting frame is received, the position information that matches the position on the network of the local station recognized by the information request frame processing means when the information request frame is received The station address corresponding to is acquired and the station address is set.

The master station of
[0029]
The information request frame transmitting means generates an information request frame for requesting the station connection configuration information from the slave station, and transmits the information request frame to the downstream station of the network. The station address generation means recognizes the connection state of the slave station on the network from the frame returned by the slave station in response to the information request frame, and generates station address information for the slave station. The station address setting frame generating means stores the station address in association with identification information that can uniquely identify the slave station, generates a station address setting frame, and transmits the station address setting frame to a downstream station of the network. To do.
[0030]
The slave station further comprises information request frame processing means, station address setting frame processing means and station address setting means.
When the frame received from the upstream station of the network is the information request frame, the information request frame processing means adds the local station configuration information in association with the identification information to the information request frame and transmits it to the downstream station of the network. To do. The station address setting frame processing means obtains a station address stored in association with its own identification information in the address setting frame when the frame received from the upstream station of the network is the station address setting frame. The station address setting frame is transmitted to the downstream station of the network. The station address setting means sets the station address of the own station based on the station address information acquired by the station address setting frame processing means.
[0031]
According to the third aspect of the present invention, at each slave station, when a station address setting frame is received, a station address stored in association with its own identification information in the address setting frame is set.
[0032]
According to a fourth aspect of the present invention, there is provided the ring coupled network system according to any one of the first to third aspects, wherein the slave station is configured to set the information request frame or the station address. When the frame is received, if the station address is already set in itself, the received information request frame or the station address setting frame is transmitted to the downstream station as it is.
[0033]
According to the fourth aspect of the present invention, a new station address setting process is not performed for a slave station for which a station address has already been set.

According to the seventh aspect of the invention, since the transmission storage means is checked to see if the local station configuration information has been transmitted when the station address setting frame is received, the station address is set during transmission, and when not transmitted The station address is not set.
[0037]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings.
FIG. 1 is a diagram illustrating an operation example in a network according to the first embodiment.
[0038]
In the configuration of FIG. 1, an arbitrary number of stations A to N are connected on the ring-coupled
[0039]
In the first embodiment, each of the slave stations B to N stores storage means such as a flag or the like that stores whether or not the station configuration information is added to the Req frame and transmitted to the downstream station. Each is equipped. This flag is initially set to “0” and set to “1” after transmitting its own station configuration information. Whether each slave station has transmitted its own station configuration information to the master station A by checking the state of this flag. Can be confirmed.
[0040]
When performing address setting, in the first embodiment, as in the conventional method shown in FIG. 7, first, the master station A first requests a Req frame for requesting a station connection configuration to each of the slave stations B to N on the

[0047]
When the next slave station D receives the frame (Req, # 2,..., #N) 3 transmitted by the slave station C and determines that this frame is a station address setting frame from the first Set command, Check the flag. Since the flag of the station D is set to “1”, as in the case of the station B, the station
[0048]
FIG. 2 is a processing flow in each slave station in the first embodiment.
In FIG. 2, the slave station that has joined the network and started to start by turning on the power or the like enters a reception wait state as step S1 when the initialization process is completed, and waits for a frame to be transmitted from the network. When receiving the frame, the slave station determines the type of frame from the command at the head of the received frame (step S2). As a result, if the received frame is a Req frame, its own station configuration information is added to the end of the frame at step S3, and it is sent to the downstream station. At step S4, a flag is set to “1”. Then, the process proceeds to step S1 and again shifts to a reception waiting state.
[0049]
If the received frame is a station address setting frame in step S2, it is next determined in step S5 whether or not its own flag is set to "1". If the flag is set to “1” (step S5, Yes), the station address information in the received frame is fetched as the address of the own station as step S6, and the frame from which the station address information is deleted is set as step S7. Relay to downstream station. In step S8, the own flag is reset from "1" to "0", and the station address setting process ends. If the flag is not set to “1” in step S5 (step S5, No), the station address setting frame is relayed to the downstream station as it is (step S9), and the station address setting process is terminated.
[0050]
Thus, according to the first embodiment, even if there is a station that newly joins the network in the middle of the station address setting process, the station address is not set for the station, so for other stations, Normal station address is set.
[0051]
Next, a second embodiment will be described.
In the second embodiment, each slave station counts the number of local station configuration information added to the received Req frame, and the station number information indicates which station is connected to the master station from the master station. Storage means such as a memory and a register for storing are provided. The master station determines the station address of each slave station from the Req frame that has made a round, and generates a station address setting frame. In this station address setting frame, in addition to the station address information, the connection order is stored as position information. Send. The slave station that has received the station address setting frame compares the position information in the frame with the station number information stored in its own station, and if they match, the corresponding station number information is addressed to itself. Is recognized and the station number information is taken in.
[0052]
FIG. 3 is a diagram illustrating an operation example in the network according to the second embodiment.
FIG. 3A shows a configuration in which the master station A and slave stations B to N are connected to the ring-coupled network 11 and the

[0059]
As described above, according to the second embodiment, even if the network configuration is changed during the station address setting process, each slave station stores the station number information stored in itself and the station address setting frame. A normal station address can be set by comparing the position information.
[0060]
In the description of the second embodiment, each slave station extracts the station address information from the station
[0061]
Next, a third embodiment will be described.
In the third embodiment, each slave station is set with information (hereinafter, identification information) that can uniquely identify the own station from other stations. When each slave station receives the Req frame, it adds this identification information together with its own station configuration information and transmits it to the downstream station. The master station stores the station address information in association with this identification information in the station address setting frame and transmits it. Each slave station takes in the station address information corresponding to the identification information of the own station in the station address setting frame.

FIG. 4 is a diagram illustrating an operation example in the network according to the third embodiment.
In the example of FIG. 4, stations A to N are connected to the ring-coupled

[0068]
Next, a fourth embodiment will be described.
In the examples so far, when the station address setting process is performed, station addresses have not yet been set for all slave stations on the network. However, in the fourth embodiment, it is assumed that station addresses are set for the remaining slave stations when station addresses are already set for some slave stations on the network.

FIG. 5 is a diagram illustrating an operation example in the network according to the fourth embodiment.
In FIG. 5, stations A to N are connected to a ring-coupled

As described above, in the fourth embodiment, normal station address setting can be performed even if a station having a station address set and a station not set exist on the network. In addition, since the station address is already set in the station where the station address has already been set, the station address of the station in which the station address has already been set is not destroyed even if the network configuration is changed.
[0073]
Next, a fifth embodiment will be described.
In the fifth embodiment, after the station address is set in each station by the processing in the first to fourth embodiments or the processing in FIGS. 7 and 8, the master station is set in each slave station. The address is checked, and if it is not set correctly, the station address is reset.

FIG. 6 is a diagram illustrating an operation example in the network according to the fifth embodiment.
In FIG. 6, stations A to N are connected to a ring-coupled network 41, where station A is a master station and stations B to N are slave stations. It is assumed that the station address has already been set for each slave station by the station address setting frame.
[0075]
After the station address setting of the slave stations B to N on the network 41 is completed, the master station A transmits a station address read

As described above, in the fifth embodiment, the master station can check whether the station address setting for each slave station is set as intended. If it is not set correctly, the address station is reset or the network is brought down, so that the system as a whole does not cause a failure.
[0079]
【The invention's effect】
According to the present invention, even if there is a change in the network configuration such as addition or deletion of a station during the address setting process, it is possible to prevent inconsistencies such as a station address being shifted and set normally. Station address can be set.
[0080]
Even if there is a station for which a station address has already been set, normal station address setting can be performed, and the station address of a station for which a station address has already been set is not destroyed. Furthermore, it is possible to check whether the station address is set normally, and it does not cause a failure in the entire system.
[0081]
If the station address is not set normally, it can be reset.
