本発明は、一対の挿入板に挟み込まれて包装袋まで案内される積層した状態の多数の製品を、包装袋に入れるプッシャーであって、その先端部分に、押出し面を製品の積層方向に拡幅するために突出および後退するサイドガイド部材を備え、該サイドガイド部材の突出量を前記挿入板の変形に追随して前記挿入板との接触状態を保持するように調整することにより、前記押出し面によって前記積層した状態の製品を一体として押出すプッシャーを提供することにより、上記目的を達成したものである。

【発明の実施の形態】
本発明の好ましい実施形態のプッシャー10は、図1に示すように、多数の製品(例えば使い捨ておむつ)60を、積層した状態を保持したまま積層方向と垂直な方向に押出して包装袋57に入れる際に使用され、図2に示すように、押出し面11によって積層した状態の製品60を一体として押出す。

プッシャー10は、一対の挿入板58による搬送路(図1)59の断面形状と略一致する矩形状の押出し面11をその前面に備えた箱型のプッシャー本体12と、このプッシャー本体12の先端部分に設けられた、押出し面11の幅を拡幅する一対のサイドガイド装置13とで構成される。

サイドガイド装置13は、押出し面11の側端部裏面とプッシャー本体12の側面先端部分に設けられたブラケット部材14との間に収容されたサイドガイド部材15と、このサイドガイド部材15を連結したエアシリンダ17とからなり、このエアシリンダ17によって、サイドガイド部材15を側方へ突出させ、あるいは押出し面11の裏側に収容する。サイドガイド部材15は、エアシリンダ17内にエアが入ることで突出するので、エアの弾性により突出量が側方からの押圧で変化する。したがって、搬送路59に配設された際に、2つのサイドガド部材15の両端面が挿入板58の変形に追随して、接触状態を保持する。

次に、積層状態の製品60を、搬送路59に沿って包装袋57に向かって押出してゆく〔図3(b)〕。かかる工程において、サイドガイド部材15を、先端面が挿入板58に接触するように側方に突出させて、押出し面11と挿入板58との間の隙間65を閉塞する。積層状態の製品60は、加圧されて圧縮状態で搬送路59に配設されていることから、製品60の反力によって、一対の挿入板58にはこれを押拡げようとする力が働き、挿入板58が撓んで搬送路59の幅、すなわち押出し面11と挿入板58との間の隙間65が先端にゆくにしたがって拡がる。

本発明のプッシャーによれば、挿入板の変形に追随して押出し面を幅方向に拡幅する進退可能なサイドガイド部材を備えるので、端部に位置する製品のずれを生じさせることなく積層状態の製品を一体として押出して、包装袋の内部に多数の製品を容易に詰め込むことができる。
