本発明は、密閉型鉛蓄電池の出入力端子に関するものである。

従来の密閉型鉛蓄電池の斜視図を図4に示す。

図4に示したように、蓋に設けた出入力端子20は鉛合金製の座部(ナット)とを一体にしたものであり、前記ボルトの頭部と座部の下部周辺は、蓋の上面に設けられた鉛合金製のブッシングの内部に埋め込まれている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
従来の構造では、前記出入力端子20にO型のリング状ワッシャーを一端に備えたリード線を接続する際には前記ワッシャーをはめ込みこれをナットによって固定していた。

しかしながら、出入力端子のボルトは銅合金製でありこれにワッシャーをはめ込んでナットでしめつけると、ボルト部分の強度が低いためボルトが折れてしまうことがあった。

本発明は、これらの課題を解決するものであり、出入力端子部分の強度に優れた密閉型鉛蓄電池を提供するものである。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記の課題を解決するために本発明の密閉型鉛蓄電池は、蓋に設けた出入力端子が、銅製のボルトとこのボルトの下部に配された銅合金製の座部とからなり、前記ボルトの頭部と座部の下部周辺を、蓋の上面に設けられた鉛合金製のブッシング内に埋設したものである。

【発明の実施の形態】
本発明の電池では出入力端子を構成するボルト部分を鋼製にしているため、従来の銅合金製よりもボルト部分の強度を高めることができる。

さらに、出入力端子をリード線と接続する場合には、リード線の一端に備えられたO型のリング状ワッシャーを、ボルトの下部にあり内部抵抗の小さい銅合金製の座部の上面に接触させるため、通電時の電気抵抗を小さくして電池から大きな電流を取出すことができる。

図1に示したように、極板上部に耳部11を備えた正極板12と負極板13とを微細ガラス繊維を主成分とするセパレータ14を介して交互に並べた極板群15が、ポリプロピレン樹脂からなるモノブロック型電槽1の各セル室3内に収納されている。

極板群15は、同極性極板の耳部相互がストラップ5により接続されており、ストラップ5の上面の一端には正極端子6または負極端子7が備えられている。

図2、図3に示したように出入力端子20は、鋼製のボルト21とそのボルトの下部に配された銅合金製の座部22とからなり、ボルト頭部と座部の下部周辺は鉛合金製のブッシング23内に埋設されるとともに座部22の周囲には接着剤24が充填されている。

出入力端子20を備えたブッシング23は蓋9と一体に成型されており、ブッシング23は極板群上部のストラップ5に備えられた極柱25と接続されている。

そして、電池を機器に接続するに際してO型のリング状ワッシャーを一端に備えたリード線を出入力端子20に接続するには、前記ワッシャーを前記銅合金製座部22に接触固定させている。

以上のように本発明の密閉型電池では、出入力端子を鋼製のボルトと銅合金製の座部とにより構成しているので、ボルト部分の強度を高めることができるとともに、リード線の一端を銅合金製の座部に接続することにより通電時の電気抵抗を小さくすることができる。
