近年のベッドは、病院用は勿論、在宅用ベッドにおいてもギャッチ機能を有するベッドが多い。また、このようなギャッチベッドの中には、ボトムに側柵を直に取り付けるようにしたものがある。
例えば図5に示すベッド1では、ボトム2のうちの、足側を支える足ボトム3に装着した側柵4を有している。この側柵4は例えば回動可能な脚部4a,4aと、これら脚部4a,4aによって支えられる柵パイプ4bとによって構成し、柵パイプ4bを、ボトム上に突出状態としたり、ボトム下方に格納する状態で保持する構成としている。
かかる状態で側柵4を支持している足ボトム3は、ギャッチ時(背上げおよび脚上げ時)には、図示するように末端側がメインフレーム5から離れて浮き上がった状態となってしまうので、支えとしてステー6を設けて、メインフレーム5側に設けた支持位置調節可能な係止具7に係止させて保持していた。

前記した課題を解決するために、本発明では、請求項1において、ギャッチベッドにおいて、メインフレーム側にステー基端側を回動可能に取り付ける一方、ステー先端側支持位置調節手段を介して足側ボトムを支持する構成とし、前記支持位置調節手段は、足側ボトム裏面側に、ボトム長手方向に沿う長穴を形成して、この長穴に前記ステー先端側を移動可能に受けてなる調節受部材と、前記ステー先端側に設けた操作レバーと、操作レバー直下においてボトム長手方向に指向して配置したストッパ基台と、このストッパ基台に 列設した複数の調節固定穴と、前記操作レバーに突設したストッパとを備え、この操作レバーにおけるストッパを付勢手段により前記ストッパ基台のいずれかの調節固定穴に係止させる構成としたギャッチベッドにおける足側ボトムの支持角度調節機構提案する。

次に、本発明にかかるギャッチベッドにおける足側ボトムの支持角度調節機構について、一つの実施の形態を挙げ、添付の図面を基に以下説明する。
図1にギャッチベッド10の足側ボトム11を示し、この足側ボトム11には、ボトム取付型側柵4を装着するようにしている。
前記足側ボトム11は、メインフレーム12上において、背に対応するボトム(図示省略)、腰に対応する腰ボトム13、大腿部に対応する膝ボトム14と順次連結された分割構造のボトムのうちの一つで、ギャッチベッド10のフットボード(図示省略)寄りに位置している。そして前記足側ボトム11は、メインフレーム12に対し、基端側を回動自在に取り付けたステー15と、このステー15先端側に連結した支持位置調節手段16を介して支持角度調節可能に連結支持している。
