Description
【0001】
【0037】
【0038】
ここで、改質ガス中のCO濃度をDco(%)、同じくメタノール濃度をDm(%)、同じく水素濃度をDh2(%)、COの発熱量をHco(kcal/mol)、同じくメタノールの発熱量をHm(kcal/mol)、水素の発熱量をHh2(kcal/mol)、改質ガス流量計29で測定された流量をFrg(mol/sec)とする。
【0039】
【0040】
【0041】
燃焼ガス中のCO2流量をEco2(mol/sec)、H2O流量をEh2o(mol/sec)、N2流量をEn2(mol/sec)、O2流量をEo2(mol/sec)とすると、これら流量は、
【0042】
【0043】
【0044】
燃焼ガス中のCO2定圧比熱をCpco2(kcal/kg・K)と、H2O定圧比熱をCph2o(kcal/kg・K)と、N2定圧比熱をCpn2(kcal/kg・K)と、O2定圧比熱をCpo2(kcal/kg・K)とすると、燃焼ガスの温度上昇量ΔTexh(K)は下式で表すことができる。
【0045】
【0046】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an improvement of a fuel cell system provided with a reforming catalyst.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In a conventional fuel cell system, there are techniques described in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open Nos. 8-78030 and 2000-36313 as techniques for preventing deterioration of a reforming catalyst that generates reformed gas.
[0003]
The technology disclosed in JP-A-8-78030 is based on the target power generation amount of the fuel cell, the oxygen concentration in the reformed gas discharged from the reformer, and the gas temperature at the reformer outlet. This is a technique for controlling the amount of supplied air and controlling the temperature of the reformer below a predetermined temperature.
[0004]
The technique described in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 2000-36313 calculates the total calorific value in the raw fuel gas from the oxygen concentration in the combustion exhaust gas of the reformer, obtains the flow rate of the raw fuel gas from the total calorific value, and controls it. By doing so, even if the concentration of hydrocarbons contained in the raw fuel gas fluctuates, the rated operation can be continued without causing any problems.
[0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, the technique disclosed in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 8-78030 is configured to control the amount of air supplied to the reformer based on the oxygen concentration and temperature of the outlet gas of the reformer. However, if the flow rate of fuel supplied to the reformer changes abruptly, the temperature will suddenly rise in the combustion chamber inside the reformer, which may degrade the combustion catalyst. There is a problem that there is.
[0006]
Further, in the technique of Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 2000-36313, when the amount of heat generated from the raw fuel is large during normal operation, control is performed to reduce the flow rate of the raw fuel to suppress an abnormal temperature rise. When a predetermined amount of heat is required, the amount of heat is insufficient, and as a result, the start-up time of the reformer is lengthened and the startability of the system is reduced.
[0007]
Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a fuel cell system that suppresses deterioration of a combustion catalyst due to an abnormally high temperature and supplies an appropriate amount of air to the combustion catalyst regardless of the operating state of the system.
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
A first invention is a reforming catalyst that generates a reformed gas containing hydrogen from raw fuel vapor using fuel and water as raw fuel, and a fuel that generates electric power using the reformed gas and air from the reforming catalyst. In a fuel cell system comprising a battery stack and a combustion catalyst for combusting exhaust gas discharged from the fuel cell stack or reformed gas from the reforming catalyst , generating combustion gas for heating the reforming catalyst at the start-up A start-up combustor, means for detecting the flow rate of the reformed gas flowing into the combustion catalyst at the time of start-up , means for detecting the concentration of the component of the reformed gas flowing into the combustion catalyst at the time of start-up , and Based on the detection result of the detection means, when the reforming catalyst has not reached the activation temperature at the time of starting, the reforming catalyst has reached the activation temperature so that the combustion temperature of the combustion catalyst is not more than an allowable temperature. in case of As combustion temperatures of the serial combustion catalyst to maintain an acceptable temperature, and means for controlling the amount of air supplied to the combustion catalyst.
[0009]
In a second aspect based on the first aspect, the concentration of the reformed gas component is detected upstream of the combustion catalyst.
[0010]
According to a third aspect, in the first or second aspect, the detected concentration of the reformed gas component is at least one of a hydrogen concentration, a hydrocarbon concentration, and a carbon monoxide concentration.
According to a fourth invention, in the first invention, the reformed gas is installed between the reforming catalyst and the fuel cell stack, and the reformed gas discharged from the reforming catalyst is supplied to the fuel cell stack or the combustion catalyst. A control valve was provided.
In a fifth aspect based on the first aspect, the combustion catalyst burns exhaust gas discharged from the fuel cell stack during normal operation of the fuel cell system, and the reforming catalyst from the reforming catalyst during startup of the fuel cell system. Burn quality gas.
According to a sixth aspect of the present invention, in the fifth aspect, when the transition from the startup of the fuel cell system to the normal operation is confirmed that the amount of oxygen monoxide contained in the reformed gas is lower than a predetermined concentration To migrate.
According to a seventh aspect, in the first aspect, temperature control means is provided for controlling the temperature of the combustion gas so that the temperature of the reforming catalyst is not more than a predetermined temperature at the start-up.
[0011]
【The invention's effect】
In the first invention, in the fuel cell system, the concentration of the flow rate components of the reformed gas flowing into the combustion catalyst of the reformed gas flowing into the combustion catalyst detected at startup, based on the detection result, the said boot When the reforming catalyst has reached the activation temperature, the combustion temperature of the combustion catalyst becomes the allowable temperature so that the combustion temperature of the combustion catalyst becomes less than the allowable temperature when the reforming catalyst has not reached the activation temperature. The amount of air supplied to the combustion catalyst is controlled so as to maintain the amount of air , so even if the combustion temperature at the combustion catalyst is unstable due to a change in the composition of the reformed gas, such as during startup, the amount of air By controlling the combustion temperature, the combustion temperature can be controlled. In other words, it is possible to prevent the deactivation of the combustion catalyst accompanying the increase in the combustion temperature accompanying the increase in the calorific value of the reformed gas flowing into the combustion catalyst in the early stage of startup, while the calorific value of the reformed gas decreases in the late stage of startup. Although the combustion temperature of the combustion catalyst may be lowered, the combustion temperature can be raised by controlling the amount of air, and the start-up time of the reformer can be shortened.
[0012]
In the second invention, since the concentration of the reformed gas component is detected upstream of the combustion catalyst, the temperature of the combustion catalyst changes before the reforming gas composition changes due to the activation of the reforming catalyst. The deactivation of the combustion catalyst due to an abnormally high combustion temperature can be prevented by controlling the air flow rate.
[0013]
In the third invention, the detected concentration of the reformed gas component is at least one of the hydrogen concentration, the hydrocarbon concentration, and the carbon monoxide concentration. The components to be detected can be determined according to the system, and the system can be simplified.
[0014]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
