【産業上の利用分野】
本発明は、変倍式双眼鏡の組み付け構造に関する。

【従来の技術】
従来より、左右の接眼部の間隔を観察者の眼幅に合わせて調整できるように、左右の望遠光学系が所定の揺動軸を中心に揺動する双眼鏡が知られている。また、左右の望遠光学系の夫々所定のレンズを光軸方向に移動することにより変倍を行う変倍機構をさらに備えたものも知られている。

左右の望遠光学系における前記レンズの移動を同期させるため、当該レンズを光軸方向に移動するために左右の望遠光学系に夫々設けられたカム環に、糸状部材でできた連動部材を巻き付け、これによって左右のカム環を連動するよう構成されていた。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、左右の望遠光学系の光軸方向の位置が、組み付け誤差のためにずれると、糸状部材などの連動部材が斜行して、スムースな移動ができなくなる恐れがあった。

本発明は、上記の如き事情に鑑み、連動部材の斜行を防止できる双眼鏡の組み付け構造を提供することを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記の目的を達成するために、本発明の双眼鏡の組み付け構造は、一対の望遠光学系が接眼光学系と対物光学系とを夫々有し、対物光学系の最前のレンズを除くレンズと、接眼光学系の少なくとも一部を構成するレンズを移動させることによって変倍を行うと共に、接眼光学系の光軸と対物光学系の最前のレンズの光軸とは平行で且つ所定量偏心しており、接眼光学系が所定の揺動軸を中心として揺動することにより眼幅調整が可能であり、対物光学系の最前のレンズを含む第1のユニットと、接眼光学系を含む第2のユニットからなり、該第2のユニットは、接眼光学系を保持する左右の鏡筒を光軸方向に所定の余裕を持って支持するフレーム部材と、左右の望遠光学系における前記移動されるレンズを連動させるためのベルト状の連動部材と、該連動部材を光軸方向に所定の余裕を持って位置規制する位置規制部材と、を備えて構成されるものである。

また、連動部材は所定の靱性を有するベルト状の部材でありかつ両端部がそれぞれ前記駆動環に巻き付けられた状態でその両端が前記駆動環外周に係止されており、前記連動部材が前記長手方向に移動すると、前記一対の駆動環の一方を、その外周を周方向に押すことにより回動させ、他方の駆動環を、その外周を周方向に沿って引くことにより回動させるよう構成しても良い。

駆動環の外周面には所定の長さの光軸に垂直な端面が周方向に沿って形成され、位置規制部材は連動部材の位置を規制すると共に駆動環の端面に当接して駆動環の光軸方向の位置を規制する押さえ部材とする構成も可能である。さらに、押さえ部材は所定の弾性を有する板部材であり、駆動環を光軸方向に前記双眼鏡本体に対して付勢するよう構成することができる。

また、双眼鏡に、連動部材の移動をガイドする複数のローラ部材を配置し、押え部材が複数のローラ部材を光軸方向に押えるよう構成しても良い。そして、連動部材は望遠光学系の光軸方向と垂直な方向に移動して駆動環を回動するものであり、駆動環の、連動部材が巻き付き可能な巻き付き部の光軸方向の長さは連動部材の光軸方向の長さより所定量長く形成されており、接眼側ユニットが対物側ユニットにより位置決めされた後にも前記連動部材が前記光軸方向と垂直な方向に移動可能である構成も可能である。

【実施の形態】
以下、本発明の実施の形態を図面に基づいて説明する。
図1は、本実施形態の変倍式双眼鏡の斜視図である。図1に示すように、双眼鏡10には、左右1対の望遠光学系10L、10Rと、前フレーム20が設けられている。また、双眼鏡10の上部には、焦点調整つまみ183,視度差調整つまみ184及び変倍操作つまみ50が並んで配置されている。なお、以下の説明では被写体側を「前方」、観察者側を「後方」と呼ぶ。

図2は、図1の双眼鏡10の分解斜視図である。
図2に示すように、望遠光学系10L(10R)は、前鏡筒13(14)、中間鏡筒15(16)、及び後鏡筒31(32)を有している。前鏡筒13(14)は、前フレーム20に設けられた左右一対のボア201(202)に嵌合することにより、回転可能に支持される。前鏡筒13(14)の後方には中間鏡筒15(16)が固定され、中間鏡筒15(16)の後方には後鏡筒31(32)が固定される。

後鏡筒31(32)は、前鏡筒13(14)に対して、中心軸が所定量偏心するよう配置されている。また、前鏡筒13(14)の回転に伴って後鏡筒31(32)が揺動しうるよう、後鏡筒31(32)は後フレーム25によって支持されている。

ここで、図2に示すように、左右の望遠光学系10L,10Rの各レンズの中で、第1レンズ132,142だけが前ユニット200に属し、第2レンズ112,122、第3レンズ113,123及び第4レンズ114,124(いずれも図3)は後ユニット100に属する。そこで、本実施形態では、前鏡筒13,14の光軸方向の位置にずれがあった場合でも、前ユニット200に後ユニット100を組み付けると、前ユニット200に属する第1レンズ132,142と、後ユニット100に属する第2レンズ112,122(図3)との距離が左右で同じになるよう構成されている。

つまり、図5において、後鏡筒31,32が後フレーム25に対して光軸方向に所定量の余裕を残した状態で保持されるよう、揺動軸321,322の長さが設定されている。従って、図2に示すように前ユニット200に後ユニット100を組み付けると、後鏡筒31,32の光軸方向の位置は夫々中間鏡筒15,16の光軸方向の位置にならう。かくして、第1レンズ132,142と、第2レンズ112,122(図3)との距離が左右で同じになる。

次に、後鏡筒31,32には、第2レンズ112,122と第3レンズ113,123(図3)を光軸方向に移動駆動するための機構について説明する。
図5に示すように、後鏡筒31,32には、第2レンズ112,122と第3レンズ113,123(図3)を光軸方向に移動駆動するためのカム環61,62、及び第2レンズ112,122と第3レンズ113,123を光軸方向に移動可能に保持するためのガイド環71,72が挿入されている。

図6は、左側のカム環61の斜視図である。図6に示すように、カム環61は、筒部612と、筒部612の一端面に形成された弧状壁617と、弧状壁617の軸方向端面から延出する延出壁611と、からよりなっている。
弧状壁617と延出壁611は、円筒部612の外周面に沿った弧を形成している。また、延出壁611の(弧の中心からの)外径は、弧状壁617よりも所定量小さく、弧状壁612の端面にショルダー面617aが形成される。

ここで、カムフォロア813,913の径は、長孔713(図7),714の幅より所定量小さく設定されている。従って、ガイド溝717(図7),718とスライダ811,911が夫々係合した状態で、カムフォロア813,913が、長孔713,714の側面には接触しない。つまり、第2,第3レンズ枠は、カム溝と接する部位と、ガイド溝に接する部位とを別々に備えている。また、スライダ811,911は、レンズ枠81,91自体の補強部材ともなるため、カム環61の回動に過度の力が加わった場合等の、レンズ枠81,91の破損が防止される。

従って、双眼鏡10の組立後、レンズの組み付け誤差等の原因によって、視野の範囲(視野枠により制限される範囲)が左右で異なる、所謂視野食い違い現象が発生した場合には、左右の第2レンズ枠81,82、あるいは第3レンズ枠91,92のガイド環71、72への取り付けの方向を変えることによって、左右の視野を補正することが可能となる。

次に、左右のカム環61,62を連動して回転駆動するための構成について説明する。
図9は、後ユニット100を示す斜視図である。なお、後鏡筒31,32は点線で示す。図9(A)に示すように、後ユニット100には、左右のカム環61,62を連動させるため、ベルト部材40(連動部材)が設けられている。このベルト部材40は、カム環61,62に形成された巻付部619(図6),629に沿って巻き付けられる。また、後フレーム25には、ベルト部材40を駆動操作するための変倍操作つまみ50が設けられている。

ベルト部材40の形状を図10に示す。図10(A)に示すように、ベルト部材40の両端の所定長さの部分40aは、曲率半径R1を持つよう構成されている。この曲率半径R1は、カム環61,62の巻付部619,629の外径と同じく設定されている。ベルト部材40は、カム環61,62に巻き付けられるに充分な柔軟性を有すると共に、長さ方向の「押し」と「引っ張り」による荷重を伝達できるだけの靱性を持つ金属板等が用いられる。本実施形態では、ニッケル−クロム−モリブデン合金の一種である、三菱マテリアル株式会社製ハステロイC−22を使用する。

ベルト部材40の両端は、上記の曲率半径R1の仮想中心に向けて屈曲され、係止端41を形成している。また、係止端41から所定間隔を置いて、略四角形の部分を一辺を残して切断し、前記の一辺で折り曲げて作られた係止爪42が設けられている。係止端41と係止爪42の間隔については後述する。
また、ベルト部材40の長さ方向中央部には、ベルト部材40を駆動操作するための連結部43が形成されている。

このように構成されているため、ベルト部材40が後述の操作部材によって観察者から見て例えば左方向(図11では右方向)に駆動されると、ベルト部材40は左側のカム環61を押して図中時計回りに回動させると共に、右側のカム環62を引いて図中時計回りに回動させる。このようにして、ベルト部材40のにより左右のカム環61,62が連動して回動する。

そして、後鏡筒31,32が、図11及び図12に示すよう揺動すると、ベルト部材40は後鏡筒31,32の揺動軸に相当する箇所314a,324aを中心として緩やかに曲げられる。この時、後鏡筒31,32の揺動が、ベルト部材40がカム環61,62を回動させることは無い。

なお、ベルト部材40の係止端41の折り曲げた角の外側の部分に相当する摺接部44は所定の曲率を有しているため、ベルト部材40が移動した際に摺接部44が後鏡筒31,32の内面に引っかかること無く、後鏡筒31,32の内面に沿ってスムースに摺接移動する。

ここで。後鏡筒31、32には、ベルト部材40を光軸方向に係止するために、図11中一点鎖線で示す押え板33,34が設けられている。図11において、押え板33,34は、ベルト部材40及びカム環61,62の端面618,628の正面(前方)に位置しており、後鏡筒31,32に設けられた支柱317,327により固定されている。押え板33,34は、ベルト部材40を後鏡筒31,32に対し、光軸方向に係止するものである。

ここで、上述の通り、左右の前鏡筒14,15の光軸方向の位置にずれがある場合には、左右の後鏡筒31,32の光軸方向の位置は夫々左右の前鏡筒14,15にならう。この時、ベルト部材40が、カム環61,62に対して斜行して巻き付けられると、ベルト部材40は周辺の壁に当たってスムーズに移動できなくなる可能性がある。しかし、ベルト部材40が、光軸方向に所定の余裕を持って巻き付けられているため、仮に双眼鏡組付時に斜行していたとしても、ベルト部材40を数回駆動することにより、斜行を解消することができる。

次に、変倍操作つまみ50によるベルト部材40の駆動操作について説明する。図9に示すように、変倍操作つまみ50には、後フレーム25の摺動面55を摺動するスライド部材53が連動している。さらに、スライド部材53には、ベルト部材40の固定部位43が固定されている。
