Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a methane detector in exhaust gas and a measurement device for methane concentration, non-methane hydrocarbon concentration, and total hydrocarbon concentration.
[0002]
[Prior art]
The following are known as conventional methane detectors. That is, a flame ionization detector (FID detector) and a non-methane hydrocarbon remover that removes hydrocarbons other than methane connected to the sample gas inlet of the flame ionization detector (using a catalyst, And the like having ozone discharge by applying a voltage of a predetermined frequency are known.
The hydrogen flame ionization detector comprises a combustion cylinder having an exhaust port at the top and an air port at the bottom, a burner placed in the combustion cylinder, and an electrode (collector) provided above the crater of the burner. The burner side electrode (generally, the burner is used as a conductor and the burner itself is used as an electrode), a power source connected to these electrodes, a sample gas pipe and a fuel gas pipe connected to the fuel gas inlet of the burner It has.
As the fuel gas, a mixed fuel gas of hydrogen and helium (hydrogen: helium = 40: 60) (volume ratio) is generally used.
The flow ratio of the mixed fuel gas, sample gas, and air is as follows.
Mixed fuel gas: sample gas: air = 10: 1: 40
[0003]
[Conventional action]
Hereinafter, the operation of the conventional methane detector will be described.
Hydrocarbons other than methane in the sample gas are removed by a non-methane hydrocarbon remover. The sample gas is supplied to the burner together with the fuel gas, and the mixed gas is burned at the crater of the burner. Then, electrons generated at that time are detected by an electrode to detect methane.
If a current flowing through the electrode at that time is obtained as a detection signal and a display for displaying it is added to the methane detector, a methane concentration measuring device is obtained.
[0004]
[Disadvantages of the prior art]
The conventional methane detector has the following drawbacks. That is, since a non-methane hydrocarbon remover was indispensable, a methane detector, a separate flame ionization detector as a total hydrocarbon detector, and a detection signal from the total hydrocarbon detector When a non-methane hydrocarbon concentration measuring device is configured by combining a subtractor that subtracts the detection signal of the detector and a display that displays the output signal from the subtractor, the non-methane hydrocarbon remover is used as the sample gas. The sample gas entering the methane detector (excluding non-methane hydrocarbons) lags behind the sample gas entering all hydrocarbon detectors, so that the subtraction by the subtractor is accurate. In addition, a predetermined resistance controller corresponding to the resistance of the non-methane hydrocarbon remover has to be provided at the sample gas inlet of the total hydrocarbon detector. For this reason, the resistance regulator is not only expensive, but also has the disadvantage that it is extremely difficult to adjust the resistance regulator.
[0005]
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present inventors consider that methane can be detected without using a non-methane hydrocarbon remover in principle, and pay attention to the fact that the combustion rate of methane is slower than that of other hydrocarbons. Considering that non-methane hydrocarbons should be burned and removed, a methane concentration measuring
