BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a telephone device that performs communication using a data network using packet switching technology, that is, an Internet telephone device, and in particular, by dynamically controlling the reproduction delay time of a voice signal processing unit, The present invention relates to an internet telephone device capable of obtaining a matching reproduced audio signal.
[0002]
[Prior art]
The Internet telephone device digitizes the voice signal of the caller's telephone with an Internet telephone server, transmits the digitized voice data to the receiver's Internet telephone server via the data network, and the receiver's Internet telephone server receives it. The voice data is converted into a voice signal and transmitted to the destination telephone.
[0003]
As described above, since the Internet telephone apparatus transmits and receives voice data via the data network, the voice data received on the receiving side is delayed in data arrival time, fluctuation in data arrival time, and data loss.
[0004]
The delay fluctuation control is used as a means for absorbing fluctuations in the data arrival time. In order to improve the voice quality of the voice signal during a call, it is preferable to increase the delay fluctuation control parameter so that not only the voice data that arrives on time but also the data that arrives after the delay is used as much as possible. However, if reproduction is performed using a large amount of data that arrives with a delay, it takes time to reproduce the sound, and the sound reproduction delay time increases.
[0005]
On the other hand, in order to reduce the audio playback delay time, the delay fluctuation control parameter should be reduced and the data that has arrived with a delay should be used for playback. Quality deteriorates.
[0006]
As described above, the improvement in the quality of the reproduced sound and the decrease in the reproduction delay time of the reproduced sound are in a conflicting relationship. The setting of the parameter, that is, the setting of whether to perform delay fluctuation control with priority on voice quality or priority on reduction of playback delay time of voice can be performed only by the Internet telephone server main body.
[0007]
FIG. 6 is a diagram showing a conventional Internet telephone apparatus. In the figure, 301 is a caller's Internet server, 302 is a caller's telephone, 303 is a caller's telephone network, 304 is a voice data processing unit of the caller's Internet telephone, and 305 is a delay of the caller's Internet phone. A fluctuation control unit that absorbs fluctuations in the arrival time of received data when the originating Internet telephone server receives data from the incoming Internet telephone server.

FIG. 7 is a diagram showing voice data processing in the Internet telephone server. In the figure, an arrow d indicates a path through which audio data flows, and an arrow e indicates a reference processing path for delay fluctuation operation parameters. In the figure, the same parts as those shown in FIG. 6 are denoted by the same reference numerals and description thereof is omitted.

[0015]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
In the Internet telephone server having the delay fluctuation control device, the delay fluctuation control operation can be changed in stages by changing the delay fluctuation operation parameters of the delay
[0016]
However, it is possible to change the delay fluctuation operation parameters of the calling-side Internet telephone server and the called-side Internet telephone server only in each Internet telephone server body in which the parameter setting processing unit is arranged. For this reason, a caller who is not in the vicinity of the Internet telephone server cannot change the operation parameter so that the delay fluctuation control according to the call form can be obtained for each Internet telephone call.
[0017]
Therefore, when the delay fluctuation operation parameter is set to give priority to sound quality, the state of the data network during a call is good, and even when there is little delay in data arrival and sufficient reproduction sound quality can be obtained, a small number of delayed Since the voice signal is reproduced after the arrival of the packet data, the voice reproduction delay time becomes long and it becomes difficult to perform the conversation.
[0018]
Conversely, when the delay fluctuation operation parameter is set to give priority to reducing the reproduction delay time, when the state of the data network during a call deteriorates, the voice quality further deteriorates and it becomes difficult to perform a conversation.
[0019]
In addition, when audio signals flow alternately in both directions as in normal conversation, it becomes difficult to perform a conversation if the audio reproduction delay time increases. Therefore, in the delay fluctuation control, it is easier to perform a conversation if priority is given to the reduction of the audio reproduction delay.
[0020]
On the other hand, in the case of guidance such as weather forecasts and hourly reports, or when the signal passes only in one direction, such as a facsimile, the delay fluctuation control is not related to the voice quality, so the delay fluctuation control gives priority to the sound quality. It is better to set.
[0021]
Further, when there is no caller on the receiving side like a facsimile, it is convenient that the delay fluctuation control operation parameter of the Internet telephone server on the receiving side can be changed from the calling side.
[0022]
Thus, since there is an optimum delay fluctuation parameter for each type of call in the delay fluctuation control, it is desirable that the caller can set an optimum value for the call form for each call.
[0023]
The present invention has been made in view of the above problems, and it is possible to set the delay fluctuation operation parameter of the Internet telephone server on the caller side or the callee side for each call from the telephone on the caller side. An Internet telephone device is provided in which the delay fluctuation operating parameter of the incoming or outgoing Internet telephone server can be set for each call.
[0024]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The present invention employs the following means in order to solve the above problems.
[0025]
An audio data processing unit that mutually converts audio signals and packet audio data, a memory that stores a delay fluctuation parameter, and a delay fluctuation that controls a reproduction delay time of the audio signal processing unit according to the delay fluctuation parameter stored in the memory An internet telephone device comprising an internet telephone server comprising a control unit and a data network connecting the internet telephone servers to each other, wherein the terminating internet telephone server is a calling internet telephone server and a terminating internet telephone. extract the delay fluctuation parameter from a tone signal included in the audio signal received from the server side, the extracted delay fluctuation parameter with a parameter setting processing unit to be stored in the memory, the delay fluctuation parameter stored Accordingly and converting the voice data by changing the delay fluctuation parameter of the called party Internet telephony server to the audio signal.
