プラズマディスプレイ等の薄型の映像機器は設置状態が種々可能であり、壁掛け設置、床置き設置或いはラック内への設置等が可能である。図5に示すように床置き設置の場合は本体2下部面にスタンド脚10を取り付ける必要があり、同スタンド脚10はネジ11により同本体2に固定される。同床置き設置より壁掛け設置に変更する場合にはスタンド10を本体2より取り外す必要があり、ドライバ等の工具が必要であるとともに、設置変更作業を煩わしいものとしていた。

本発明は上記の点に鑑みなされたもので、映像機器を床置き設置より壁掛け設置、或いはその逆の場合において、容易に変更が可能な映像機器のスタンド構造を提供するものである。

本発明は上述の課題を解決するため、本体の両側下端部に設けられた凹部と、同凹部と底面とを連通する連通孔と、同凹部の中央部に立設されたストッパーと、前記連通孔の両側壁に設けられた係止部と、前記凹部と前記連通孔内に配設され、収納位置と使用位置において前記係止部に係止する係止部を両側に備えた逆U字状の脚体とにより構成されたことを特徴とする。

以下、図面に基いて本発明による実施例を詳細に説明する。図1は本発明によるスタンド装置を組み込んだ薄型映像機器1の斜視図である。同映像機器1は樹脂成形材よりなる薄型の本体2内にプラズマディスプレイ等の薄型の表示部3を備えている。本体2の両側には弾性材よりなる一対のスタンド脚4が下方に突出固定されており、同スタンド脚4により同映像機器1は床面上に載置される。

同スタンド装置を備えた本体2の構造を示すのが図2の正面図およびその断面図である。映像機器本体2の両側には同図に示すように、上方が半円状に形成され両側が下方に向かって拡開する凹部5が設けられている。また同凹部5と面一に連通され、底面に開口した連通孔6が形成されている。前記凹部5の上方半円部の略中心位置には上面を半円状とした半月状のストッパー7が突設されている。また前記連通孔6の両側壁には一対の半円状の突起8が内方に向けて突設されている。

図3は上記の取付部にスタンド脚4を組み込んだ状態を示した図である。スタンド脚4は弾性体として棒状のバネ材よりなり、その形状は逆U字形に形成されている。同逆U字形状は本体の前記取付部の形状に対応した形状となっており、その両側には内方に折曲して半円状の一対に形成された係止部4aと同形状の下方に位置する一対の係止部4bが形成されている。

上記の構成により次に同スタンド装置の動作について説明する。図3(A)の状態においては、スタンド脚4の係止部4bが前記突起8に係止して同スタンド脚4は本体2内に収納固定されている。次に同スタンド脚4の両下端を内側に縮めるとともに、下方に引く。これによりスタンド脚4の係止部4bは前記突起8よりはずれ下方に突き出される。同スタンド脚4の半円部の下端が前記ストッパー7の上端に当接する一方、スタンド脚4の前記係止部4aが前記突起8に係止することにより、同スタンド脚4は図3(B)に示すように固定される。この状態において映像機器1は床置き設置として使用される。同映像機器1を壁掛け設置等に変更したい場合においては上記の逆手順によりスタンド脚4を本体2内に収納する。

以上に説明したように本発明によるスタンド装置においては、薄型映像機器を床置き設置より壁掛け設置に変更したい場合、また逆の場合においてスタンド脚を簡易に引き出したり、また収納することが可能となり設置形態の変更が容易になるとともに、同作業にドライバ等の工具を用いることが不要とすることができ同薄型映像機器の使い勝手の向上を計ることができる。
