Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an improvement in performance of an ink jet head, and more particularly to an improvement in landing accuracy of ink ejected from a nozzle.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Ink jet print heads have been formed by laminating thin plates such as stainless steel plates. Previously, nickel bonding was the mainstream, but since the bonding temperature of nickel is as high as 700 ° C to 900 ° C, nozzles It was difficult to ensure the positional accuracy.
[0003]
There is also a method of laminating plates using an adhesive, but there are also problems with the method of adhesion, such as the adhesive being attacked by ink or the inadequate adhesion technique.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
3 and 4 show examples of adhesion failure by the conventional adhesion technique.
[0005]
FIG. 3 shows that
[0006]
In FIG. 4, the adhesive between the orifice plate and the chamber plate protrudes and is applied to the orifice hole. When ink droplets are generated in this state, the ink droplets are distorted and ejected from the orifice holes, so that the printed dots are broken or the paper landing position accuracy is extremely deteriorated.
[0007]
It is an object of the present invention to provide a method for solving the above problems and enabling lamination of thin plates with an adhesive.
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
To achieve the above object, the present invention forms a chamber plate forming a pressurizing chamber, a pressurizing chamber together with the chamber plate, and a restrictor flow path for supplying ink to the pressurizing chamber. A restrictor plate, a piezoelectric element that generates a pressure fluctuation in the pressurizing chamber by application of an electric signal, a diaphragm plate that forms at least a part of a wall surface of the pressurizing chamber and is connected to the piezoelectric element by an elastic material, An on-demand type multi-nozzle having a plurality of nozzles configured by a plate forming a common ink supply path for supplying ink to the restrictor and an orifice plate having an orifice hole for ejecting ink droplets from a pressurizing chamber In the inkjet head, at least the orifice plate and the chamber plate are bonded with an adhesive, and the following conditions are satisfied. It is achieved by satisfying. Here, the inlet hole diameter of the orifice plate is d1, the protruding amount of the adhesive is L1, and the minimum pressure chamber width of the chamber plate is L2.
[0009]
[Expression 2]
[0010]
The orifice plate is formed by electroforming, and the opening on the pressurizing chamber side is broadly processed into a trumpet shape with respect to the outer opening of the orifice hole, or is formed by pressing, and the outer opening of the orifice hole is formed. On the other hand, the opening on the pressurizing chamber side may be processed widely in a tapered shape. Furthermore, the amount of the adhesive protruding between the orifice plate and the chamber plate may be regulated to 10 μm to 100 μm. In order to make it possible to control the amount of protrusion of the adhesive, the adhesive material may be diluted with an organic solvent and then applied to each plate.

In order to regulate the flow of the adhesive, the adhesive is diluted with an organic solvent (for example, acetone, methyl ethyl ketone, ethyl alcohol) or the like, and is applied by spray coating to a thickness of several microns to several tens of microns. And it is necessary to affix it after carrying out preliminary heating and suppressing flowability before adhesion | attachment. In addition, when the
[0019]
In this example, the diluted adhesive is sprayed to a thickness of 2 to 5 μm at one time, and is applied 4 to 8 times to a thickness of 10 to 40 μm. Then, at the time of bonding, pre-curing is performed at a temperature lower by about 20 ° C. than the curing temperature of the adhesive for about 10 minutes, and then the plates are bonded together and subjected to main curing after applying a load. At this time, when the trial production was repeated with the amount of protrusion of the adhesive on the orifice plate side set to 50 μm as a standard, it was found that the amount of protrusion varied from 10 μm to 100 μm. Although it is possible to suppress the amount of adhesive and increase the load, it is thought that it is better not to increase it too much because the variation in expansion during heating of the plate increases. Further, when the adhesive thickness was simply lowered, the

In addition to electroforming, the orifice plate can be formed with a tapered hole by pressing. As a processing method, a method of forming a taper by counterboring a predetermined amount after making a straight hole is common.

【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the present invention, the amount of protrusion of the adhesive is regulated so that there is no occurrence of air pockets between the plates and ink droplets are not discharged properly due to the protrusion of the adhesive. It was possible to make a laminated inkjet head with a thin plate.
