本発明は、交換機局から遠隔の電話加入者に対して、電話サービスを提供するための加入者伝送装置に関し、特に電話使用率が低いときに、加入者側の伝送装置における電力供給を低減することが可能な、加入者伝送装置に関するものである。

加入者伝送装置は、複数の加入者端末を集線して交換機局と光伝送路等で接続するものであって、加入者端末が交換機局から遠隔地に存在する場合に、このような加入者を交換機に収容するための、加入者線の伝送損失と建設費用とを低減する目的で用いられるものである。

人口が少ない地域では、電話の使用率が低いため、加入者側の伝送装置への全電力供給を常時行うことは、経済的に不利である。そこで、このような場合、特定の加入者数に見合った分だけ電力供給を行うようにして、消費電力量を低減できるようにすることが望ましい。

【従来の技術】
図7は、従来の加入者伝送装置を示したものである。図中、11は交換機、12は交換機側の伝送装置、13は交換機11および伝送装置12に対する局電源を示し、これらは交換機局に設けられる。14は加入者を示し、15は加入者側の伝送装置、16は伝送装置15の各部に対する電源供給用のAC/DC変換器であって、これらは、交換機局から離れた地域に存在する。17は光信号等の伝送路であって、伝送装置12,15間を接続する。

交換機側の伝送装置12において、18は加入者送受信装置、19は信号多重および非多重化装置、20は伝送信号送受信装置である。加入者送受信装置18は、交換機11との間で、音声信号および各種制御信号の送受信を行う。信号多重および非多重化装置19は、加入者送受信装置18の信号を多重して伝送信号送受信装置20に接続し、また伝送信号送受信装置20からの多重信号を分離して、加入者送受信装置18に接続する。伝送信号送受信装置20は、信号多重および非多重化装置19と伝送路17との間で、多重信号の送受信を行う。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
図7に示された従来の加入者伝送装置においては、加入者側の伝送装置15における加入者送受信装置21が、すべて加入者に接続されているため、常時、全装置に電力を供給するようにしていた。

しかしながら、加入者伝送装置においては、加入者側の伝送装置に接続される加入者の電話使用率が低いことが多い。そのため、すべての加入者送受信装置に電力を供給することは、装置の使用率との関係で、電力供給の無駄があるという問題があった。

本発明は、このような従来技術の課題を解決しようとするものであって、加入者伝送装置において、加入者側の伝送装置における電話の使用率が低いときに、加入者送受信装置に対して特定の加入者数分だけ電力を供給するようにして、電力消費量の低減を可能にすることを目的としている。

【課題を解決するための手段】
(1) 複数の加入者を収容する加入者側の伝送装置と、交換機に接続された伝送装置とを、多重化された伝送路で接続する加入者伝送装置における、前記加入者側の伝送装置に、発呼信号と着呼信号とをそれぞれ保持するメモリと、加入者線の信号を送受信する加入者送受信装置と、電話の使用率が所定の値より低いとき、前記加入者送受信装置における特定の加入者数に対応する加入者送受信装置のみを稼働状態に設定し、該稼動状態に設定されなかった加入者送受信装置の動作を停止させるよう、加入者送受信装置への給電を切換え、該給電の切替え時に前記メモリを動作させ、該メモリを経由して発呼信号と着呼信号とを前記加入者送受信装置に接続する制御装置とを設け、加入者側の伝送装置における特定の加入者数に対応する回路のみに電力を供給する。

【作用】
(1) 本発明において対象とする加入者伝送装置は、複数の加入者14を収容する加入者側の伝送装置15と、交換機11に接続された伝送装置12とを、多重化された伝送路17によって接続するものである。
